In this demo I am testing out using DecoArt Satin Enamel White as an additive. Just as I use Basics Cadmium Yellow Light Hue as an additive, I figured the satin enamel would have the same effect. It did. Yay! This really opens up a lot of doors as far as straight Pours go. Basically, any color can be made into a cell maker with the addition of this white, which is obviously more versatile than the yellow. Other colors used in this pour were Basics Pthalo Blue, Pthalo Green and Artists loft flow white. All paints mixed 1paint:Floetrol then that mixture is thinned to proper consistency with 90%water/10%Floetrol mixture. 25% Satin Enamels in all paints except base color.
For info on my consistency number system, how to know which consistency to use for most techniques:

Gina just purchased your fluid art cards --FANTASTIC-- I just retired and have been fighting to use colors on my pours. Now that I have your cards it will take away the headackes of what colors to make my pours look good. I also like that your videos match the cards -- ecch card has a matching video on your web site.Graet work

This is my favorite pour I've seen so far! I taught SCUBA, working offshore for many years. This looks like that 1st second when you hit the water, with the air you've brought in with you when you first step in off a boat.
    Awesome job! Love it!

Gina, I could have not come to this level in my painting career without learning all the tips and subtle nuances from you this past year or so. You are a patient and percice Artist. I had to learn the art of slow tilting , And not to put so much paint on the canvas. I had wasted so much paint in the past to make skins. I have made jewelry long before stumbling onto acrylic pouring videos. I think you were the first artist I followed. Others swirl the canvas quickly, loosing the composition. I just wanted to thank you. When I go live as "Planet Art LLC," I hope u give me a shout out! Thanks again, Gina. My son and I love your music and the Better than Chocolate video!😄 oh, you also taught me the nylon over the Floetrol trick! It kills me when other artists just spend so much time removing schumutz from their painting! Thanks again!

  • @bonesgirl302

A beautiful pour which you always do. You have cells regardless of the paint you use. In this one you used Decoart Americana Satin Enamel in White. It does give a nice look, but it’s extremely difficult to find anymore. I think you figured out what metallics will give a cloud effect. That translates to how you mix and stretch. Thank you for your good teaching.
