J T yes, ofcourse it does feel like that. If you where better than he was, you wouldn't be sitting there. That doesn't mean you should stop playing though! If you want to be as good as he is, go practice your ass off! He isn't born like this either. It took him years of blood, sweat and tears I can assure you. So get behind the kit and practice!

A lot of people don't think fast and energized drumming has pocket, but this is proof that it totally does. Impeccable time. Impeccable consistency. Impeccable dynamics and note placement. If that doesn't count as pocket then I don't know what does.

A lot of people, myself included, do think fast and energized drumming doesn't have pocket because most of those fast, energized drummer aren't Chis Coleman. I mean, if those fast energetic players played even 2/3rd as good as Chris then I might change my mind but unfortunately 90% of them don't have pocket

Chris Coleman always speaks my language. He understands groove more than "beats", and he always has that one hilarious moment where he makes a face at a camera. Hahaha. It shows how much he just loves drumming.
Cowinbaby so true! Many drummers can play similar "beats" but when it comes to groove? Coleman's the crème de la crème!

Unbelievable!! The power, the precision, speed, creative ideas, groove - what a flawless performance! What control and command over his instrument and rhythm in general! Plus he has this energy and charisma, and makes it look like it's the easiest thing to do!

El Estepario Siberiano said this was the hardest song he has learned to date and thats saying something. I can see why. Holy sh*t. This man is an absolute legend. What IMPECCABLE timing. Even when full blown drumming you can see the rhythm of the beat moving through his entire body quite vividly. Especially around the 3 minute mark.
Dammmyummmmmm, that was insane. I had to watch that twice and may go for a third. Those and fill and the timing were just executed soo flawless.
The kind of video I want to share with all my friends, before I remember that not everyone cares about drums. Well they should!

I was sittin in the first row, and i can say you: This is not even close to seing him live, because a video can not do justice to this guy. Maybe this have been the most inspiring minutes i´ve ever experienced. Chris is not only a incredibly awesome drummer but also a great human being.

I have listened to a lot of drummers that made a cover of this track. And when I say a lot, I mean a LOT (including Kaz himself).
But to be honest with NO DISRESPECT especially to Kaz, THIS MAN RIGHT HERE PLAYED TO THIS TRACK THE BEST THAN ANYONE I HAVE EVER WATCHED.

Chris is an absolute beast on the kit!
I know there are a sea of drummers out there that are incredible and all but there is something with Chris that sets him apart.. His groove and feeling is something you can spot from only hearing him play for only a few seconds. As well as power to his playing, to have a heavy hand yet be as fast and articulate is a damn pleasure to always watch. He for me is definitely apart of the mount Rushmore of drummers, hands down!
