    Thank you for posting this. So many wonderful childhood memories from this park, and your video brought a lot of them back. I almost forgot what the inside of the haunted castle looked like!

    Used to go here every summer with my family when we took our yearly vacation at Panama city in the 80's and 90's. It was a fun amusement park. Think the last year i went was 97

      Unfortunately, I wasn't in the area for more than a few hours so the only footage I recorded was at the park, and a few seconds on the main road in front, looking at the park. I didn't capture anything else as we didn't stop anywhere in the area once we left Panama Beach City. It was the only time I have been to the area.

    I used to go here every year. We lived an hour away. Good times. I loved the pirate ship, abominable snowman, and their driving track.. ill never forget driving an old car down route 66 and listening to little richard on the radio while pretending i was all grown up driving a real car.......and of course my favorite is and always has been the bumper cars 😂... I was always too scared to ride the rollercoaster though... i made it all the way up the ramp to the front of the line with my two sisters but when we were next in line to get on it i got scared and ran away and went back to my bumper cars 😂

    Miracle Strip always looked like a place I'd have fun at (for a couple hours) -- a credit run and then some, really looked like you could have a nostalgia trip here (from what I've seen).

    The Starliner looked like a very comfortable coaster to ride. I think that they relocated that coaster. The sunset outro footage was fantastic Sean. Thanks S~

      Thank you, Rob! They did relocate it to another park but it has since been removed. :(

    Thanks Sean for uncovering this lost gem! I'll Never forget going to this park even though me and my family only went once, it's a memory that will forever be engraved into my psyche. I don't remember too much of the park or what we even did there but the one that will forever stick with me is that god awful castle. And even though I didn't go in, the outside of the ride was enough to keep me deterred from stepping anywhere near it. And ever since then I've had that damn castle stuck in the confined of my mind for all these year. Several questions racked my brain. "What did I miss?" "Was the ride really that scary?" "And would I survive?" (Ps I had it believed that I would end up getting my head chopped off by a hidden buzz saw. I had a very "active" imagination at that age. Plus the one Chucky movie with the Dark Ride scene didn't help either.) But after all these years I Finally get to witness perfection! So Thank you Sean, it was a fun trip through memory lane.

      You are welcome. I am glad you enjoyed it. I wish we had spent more time at the park considering we were only there for a couple hours. It was a fun place.

      Thanks. It was a Sony Mini-DV camcorder. While it only recorded in 30fps, I rendered the video in 60fps and brought more color into the footage as well.

    Very cool! I also visited in 2004. I remember it was July 4th and we watched the fireworks from the beach. I thought it was a very cool little park.

    Panama City Beach is so empty without MSAP! Thankfully the Panama City Historical Society has saved some on display in the downtown museum.

    Hey Sean, Do you remember the cost of the wristbands that day?

    • @SeanFlaharty
      @SeanFlaharty  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I wish I did. My guess was that it was under $20. We only rode a few things because of the limited time we were there.

    • @pygmywarrior3
      @pygmywarrior3 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      . @SeanFlaharty I remember in about 1979 or 1980, my mom complaining because the wristbands went up to 12 dollars. I took my daughters there in 2004 just before they closed, but I don't remember the cost.
      Thanks for the video!

    “Are you gonna film yourselves on this ride?” Proceeds to film her the entire length of the ride, haha.
    Thanks for this. Never got to go. Love the Double down in the Monster’s Mouth Tunnel.
    Nice Escape from Pompeii reference while onride the dark ride. And I enjoy the offride plank breaking effect just for the amusement of those waiting in line. Looks like a cool park. Sad to see places with woodies like this and Waterville USA close.

      @SeanFlaharty  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We were supposed to visit Waterville on that trip but had to cancel as it wasn't exactly on the path to where we were going. Yep, I remember that woman asking where that video would be shown, after our ride. Back then, social media didn't exist but there were a TON of cable coaster shows happening. You either watched videos that way or on the news or something. In reality, the woman was just in the shot but I was trying to record Barry and Jeff in the very back row. I just captured some more reactions in the process. We were only there for a couple hours but I am really glad we went.
