Hey Adam, just FYI our local direct market in Santa Barbara sells halibut whole fish for $15/lb and fillets for $25/lb. Just want to make sure you’re getting full value for the effort and those beautiful fish. Keep it up! Love the videos…I’ve learned a ton from you.
Good job catching great video. I'm glab i finally came over & said hi,had a great time at fisherman's life fair. Till next time good vibes tight lines Fish on!....
LOL!! I ordered the AC70. It's coming tomorrow with the panels. Good going. It will be my first power supply purchase. I just wish it had the wireless phone charger on top of the unit.
LOL the tan lines. How do you protect your face from getting roasted? All that sun bouncing off the water that close. Are you drifting or are you anchored?
How much can you make in Commercial fishing? A side light to How many garages of $$$$ gear do you have to store all the "try our" gear stuff that has been offered to you?
Commercial fishing is not that simple, licensing, inspections and such. In the fishing industry all of the product sold needs traceability. Back when I had a 21ft center console I could come back from offshore with more fish than I could handle I once stopped at a local fish store to ask if they’d be interested in some fresh AHI. The owner filled me in that without the proper licensing on my part no retailer would take the risk.
you can make more money day trading not that hard to do instead of going through all this work im not selling anything just sharing been doing it for 40 years..always enjoy your videos
Thanks to Bluetti for sponsoring this video! Link for the product featured in this video is in the video description!

you don't sell at the price the retail sells at bro lol they have to make money off you
That is the price a local commercial fisherman sells direct off the boat. Just thought I’d pass that along as it’s apples to apples
Thanks for the heads up! I like to give people who follow me a good price!
Great video. What a fun side hustle. Cheers!
Just another day in Northern California, way to make the most of it !

Hi Adam when do you think the bite for halibut ends in the bay .
Thank you.
man you were putting in the work!! noice job!!
Good to meet you at the street fair! I’d love to buy some halibut from you!
Nice meeting you! You can send me a DM on Instagram or you can email me and I will keep your info for when I have fish available!
PS how much depth change considering your distance from shore?
I did enjoy. Thanks!
is there a reason why it doesnt look like u try to set a hook while you are fishing for halibut? do they have a soft mouth or something?
Usually when trolling the movement of the kayak sets the hook on its own
didnt een think about that. thx
Another good one Adam
Yeah man that was good stuff God bless
Save some Halis for the rest of us lol nice!

Where exactly in the bay area do you troll for halibut bud? Thanks
How much does the license cost?
Strong work
what licenses and permits do you need in California to sell commercially?
I have it all in my past Commercial Fishing videos! I have a playlist on my channel!
Good fishing day! With all that fog, don’t you need a light to let other vessels know you are there?
It would definitely help!
Serious question, does the neoprene get too hot at times? Are they just pants or long John’s
Its a farmer john wetsuit and it is fine 95% of the time. Occasionally it can get a little toasty but I just dip my feet in the water to cool down.
Very informative
how do u survive on this in the SF bay..
Where do you sell the fish?
Locally in the Bay Area
Do you have a run down of your fishing gear ?
I do! On my patreon!
is the battery waterproff
no
Don't know how much money you make but the Halibut have a Bulls eye on them Lol
Good times.
Can you sell lingcod and rockfish?
why not? that's the whole purpose of the commercial license. he sells halibut because it taste better than rockfish.
@@josephsaeteurn9158you would need a rock fish permit not so easy to get.
My boyfriend always gets excited when our boyfriend posts a video. 😂

Is safe to kayak fishing? What is your worst experience?
It can be dangerous but I take several precautions to make it safer.
