this is one of my favourite anime. the story pace is kinda slow at the beginning. but it had a really nice plot. deep and meaningful. I love how in the end this anime leave us the decision to decide who is right and who is wrong. the animation was okay even though the hairstyle kinda weird . the soundtrack bring this anime justice! it's so beautiful and amazing.
This is much like blame in terms of style, because blame too have a weird style at first but after you read the manga you understand that it`s what makes the story more special

Honestly I'd have given it about a 5 on horror. It ain't scary, but it'll still appease a hardcore horror nerd like myself. The awesome treating is well deserved. Only reason it ain't an outright ten four me is because of how slow of a boil it is. But it'll definitely make you think. One of the best vampire stories I've ever known, should definitely go down with the classics.

Shiki is one of the best ones out there actually and a lot of horror anime probably copied from them and not just horror. There is a pink haired yandere girl who is obsessed with a guy called Yuuki and kills everyone who tries to be close with him and this anime and whole story and manga were made before Mirai Nikki.
I know that this trailer was made 11 years ago but the drawing is bad and didnt excite me at all, adding red circles in the eyes doesnt make picture terrifying, maybe someone will make me change my mind abt it?
