I believe Ben Stokes, the Captain of the England Cricket Team is doing exactly this by turning the whole idea of Test Cricket on its head and making it superbly entertaining at the cost of possibly "winning" with typical defensive/dour batting. But who does eveyone (who likes and knows about Cricket) want to go to watch in test cricket?

Infinite mindset Leader’s are willing to accept short-term losses for long-term growth and success.

[01:18] “Leaders who have an infinite mindset instead of showing up to _win_ they show up to advance a just cause something bigger than themselves a vision of an idealised future so compelling so just that people would willingly sacrifice to be there. That could mean turning down a better paying job or working late hours or frequent business trips and that we may not like these things they feel worth it because I feel a part of something bigger than myself.” - Simon Sinek

Very useful business information, but it's real value (to me) is about the individual and family from which the business life emerges. For leaders, I say Sanders/Warren has a vision.
