Yeah, usually voicing my fears or opinions result is awful backlash on how wrong I AM, not on how can we/they help or make it better or how THEIR opinions or advice is the right way, the only way. Really builds a wall quite quickly.
In collective cultures (such as mainland China), trust is absolutely at the heart of the relationship. In my opinion, so much so that acceptance into the core of any group (be it family, work or other) requires that members reinforce their commitment through continuously demonstrating that there is no transactional boundary in your commitment.

For me when I'm going through something that requires courage I need to be alone. When I share my experience wit people I have noticed they tend to have opinions and ideas that I do not always believe in and that is likely to upset me coz I feel misunderstood or I'm being told the idea is too wild. And if it wont cause lifetime damage I will never get to a place where I'm satisfied knowing there's was once a path I saw and believed in and didn't get to try it coz someone else especially family said I was not being realistic. Ive grown to really hate the word "realistic" by the way
You can do anything you commit yourself to doing. Nothing is beyond realism when you fully believe it is possible. Be the person you will be, not the person your friends and family think you are. Don't lose focus. You can achieve your dreams and then inspire others to achieve their own. I believe in you. Let nothing be a regret!
Nothing left to lose means there are no negative consequences for your actions. Which doesn't really seem courageous. However getting into that mindset might work as a crutch to get past the invisible barriers we put in our own way. But it seems like a dangerous mental place to put yourself in - one where you aren't rationally evaluating risks but instead pressing ahead regardless.
