    There is a third Mix Method that might be worth trying.
    First, you mix your gfuel in a tiny bit of water. Just enough to dissolve the powder
    Second, you carbonate the water on its own, in the Soda stream (though, use just a little bit less than you normally would
    Third, you slowly pour the gfuel mixture into the carbonated water. Close the cap of the bottle and gently tip the bottle down and up again to disperse the G fuel mixture into the carbonated water.
    What this achieves is a couple things. One, powder doesn't always mix well, on its own, in carbonated beverages. And you're not trying to shake an already carbonated beverage to get the powder to mix in, this reducing the chance of an "explosion" when you open up the container to drink some. Two, unlike Drinkmate (another soda stream-like product), a Sodastream doesn't fully come apart, so things like the nozzle can't be washed separately/submerged in water, making it harder to clean. And when you carbonate water that has something like syrup or powder in it, it is possible that mixture could "gunk up" the nozzle, if it's not fully mixed/dissolved.
    Number Two in what I said is one of the reasons why on the Soda Stream website it even says to carbonate water and then add their syrups. Also, it does just taste better.
    So, yeah, just thought I would post this method for anyone wanting to give it a try.

      that is how you actually need to carbonate sodastream water, sodastream adaptives like mountain dew, pepsi snd others it says on the lablr to carbonate water and slowly pour in the mixture to the water then so i imagine with gfuel you gotta do the same

  • @DireSerpentine
    @DireSerpentine 3 ปีที่แล้ว +45

    The few times I've tried carbonating gfuel, I made a syrup like mixture just using a serving of powder, and a little bit of water. I then add it to the carbonated water, and mix gently. As far as flavor, I think it works, but for me it makes the artificial sweeteners stand more out.

    While I haven't tried the gfuel powders yet (I got a couple coming in the mail, since Gfuel just had a "buy one get one free" sale), I can understand why you like the SodaStream version more than Gfuel's own pre-made version.
    The reason I say that is I've tried a lot of the cans myself, and I've even been watching various G fuel TH-camrs that have done can versus powder comparisons. One of the big things I've heard from them is many of the powders have a "different" or better flavor than the can. Many of them actually being much "bolder" than the cans. So, it makes sense that using the powder flavor would yield a better result, for a carbonated beverage.
    Also, And this may be just a personal thing, but I find the G fuel cans to be too under carbonated my opinion. It's very light. From what I understand, when the G fuel can's first came out they were more carbonated than they currently are, but they've tone that down after some feedback. While I never tried this more carbonated version, I have a suspicion that I would enjoy it more. There current version goes flat on me pretty quick and I think I would like the "mouth feel" much better with more carbonation, something more akin to a traditional soda beverage.

  • @chroniccam9976
    @chroniccam9976 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Just did this with the hype sauce and it’s actually pretty crazy how good it is. I think I would actually prefer making my own with the soda stream to buying a can. The soda stream I have has 3 different carbonation options so it pretty much makes it the real thing using the strongest carbonation.

    You asked what those of us would call things like pop/soda/cola/etc.
    Personally, in general, I call all beverages like that "soda". Mountain dew, Coca-Cola, 7UP, it's all soda. As far as using the word "cola", I do that for drinks that fall under that category. Like Pepsi Cola, Coca-Cola, RC Cola. It's a type of soda. Same as there are different brands of root beer and things like that. As far as "Coke", I generally only use that when I'm specifically referring to Coca-Cola as a shortened name.

    My roommate have been using carbonated water with GFUEL for years. The easiest way is to just use bottles of Perrier or Pelegrino. But if you are using the Soda Stream method, you HAVE to carbonate your water first, pour it into your shaker and then add the powder in that order. Otherwise you are cleaning your sodastream all the time. Also, use a Blender Bottle! GFUEL’s shakers don’t snap closed and don’t have the room for the gas from the bubbles. Lastly, wait for at least 15 seconds after shaking before you open. You get used to the bang, but some flavors will foam up if you open them right away and get everywhere.

  • @Montgomerygolfgator

    A blender does a lot to make G-Fuel blend perfectly. Sneak will also mix well, but you have to pulse it to prevent it from foaming.

    pro tip for everyone if you want to buy a machine for carbonating anything thats not water you should probably buy a drinkmate there made for carbonating litterally anything and the bottle will never explode carbonating differenct liquids under pressure due to the pressure release valve, carbonating anything other then water voids the sodastream warenty and is not reccomended. drinkmates also aren't much more then sodastreams, and you can be sure no matter what you carbonate it will be safe, and anything mixed with water won't have to either be done in the bottle pre mixed which isn't reccomended or mixed after loosing carbonation.

    There's a reason why they push carbonated water and a Sirup together, to mix in the cup itself, it's bc if you try to add CO2 into water which already is mixed with a catalyst, this being a Sirup or in this case the powder, it will hold less CO2 and it's not gonna be the best, well thing for the soda stream.
    Gosh, I hate having to clean my soda stream,
    ( and Yoshi, I tried doing crazy things as well, as in adding CO2 to wine )
    It'll attract fruitflies, maggots and I'm not a fan of maggots and fruitflies within my favorite pop,
    so no, srr, wouldn't recommend.
    Anyway, think I'll try it out,
    but as far as I know how the soda stream works and all, it's best to first Carbonate the water and than add the powder mixed with a tiny amount of water, so it's the same as you do with the syrup.
    That way you get the maximum amount of carbonation and get I think maybe a better result?
    8:36 gosh, why does it look so much like the milk videos that made it taste like spoiled milk.,. ^.^'
