Awesome Constandinos! I have been suffering with this problem for about a year. FYI, I found a better way than using the clothes hanger wrapped in paper towel. I just bend a Q Tip end at a 90 degree angle instead and put 70% rubbing isopropyl alcohol on it. For the reach needed, I used a surgical clamp, but anything you can tape the Q tip to will work- like a clothes hanger! My wheel was really filthy so I made sure I did several cycles of cleaning until the Q Tips stopped picking up dirt. Then I used a dry Q Tip to rub off the excess alcohol. I have tried a bunch of other fixes- even ones that previously worked. I couldn't believe it when my test page finally printed without the horizontal lines. From what I can see on youtube, yours is the only one that addresses this exact problem. Thank you so much!

I can't print well with the cartridges refilled on my Canon Pixma printer, I have already cleaned on cartridge the nozzles and the cartridge sponge and the printer head sponge,i' ve pulled out the air by a siringe and the specific tool after refilling.I did many tests on the printer by specific software.
But I keep printing figures with lines, unless I have set the printer to the high quality print option, so I can print better.

hey I am getting good print in black, but I am getting white lines in colour prints. So I don't need to clean the disk right? the problem might be with my colour cartridge?

Ive opened the printer from the side took out the disk and clean it and also cleaned the hole of the sensor, but still same issue
It always skip same lines, so my guess problem is somewhere else, if dirt is on the disc it will be random

Now it says I have a paper jam, and there is none, but I wonder if a piece of tissue got loose.

I was not able to fix this issue cleaning the disc and that was after removing the side panel and directly accessing the disc. Has anyone else been successful removing these horizontal non print lines?

I had the same problem with a Pixma ix6820, I ended up moving the gear next to the gear that is connected with the sensor by hand and cleaned both sides of the sensor with the same makeshift tool used in the video. At first when I powered it back up it sounded like gears grinding, then I moved the same gear slightly back and it functioned just fine and fixed the problem.
