Never take the covers off. I fallowed a refill video that showed that method and every time I tried to print something after using that cartridge I would need to refill it before I started. It is the same as leaving the cover off a marker. If the covers come off you need to have a way to reattach them so that they remain perfectly sealed as they were before you removed them. A couple of dabs of crazy glue on the sides won't cut it. The old glue needs to be filed off bot the cover and the base, and something I have yet to discover needs to be used to reattach the cover to the base in a way that it is perfectly sealed.
BCH sells a conversion kit and they have videos here on TH-cam that show you in great detail how to use them. If you follow their directions it totally works. If you don't want to do it yourself you can send them your old cartridges and they will convert them for you. They have a video that shows you the options and how to order on their site. They may even just sell converted ones...not sure.

If you don't manage to get a perfect seal when you put the cover back on, the ink will drip onto the inside of your printer and you will find the cartridge needing to be refilled every time you go to use the printer. Also, I'm not sure why you would ever run water over your sponge. That's another example of what not to do.
While you are correct a couple of dabs of crazy glue won't seal it, you need to apply a bead around the entire perimeter of the top of the cartridge before re-attaching the lid. Doing anything less will, of course, leave air gaps and not seal it.

Interesting, that is a deep clean. I usually take the print head off and soake the tip of the print head in warm to hot water for 2-3 minutes to break down any dried ink in the port jets. This works for me, but this is an alternative.
Always use your printer to avoid ink drying on nozzle or clogging. At least every other day. Print a very small CMYK Bar so that all ink color are used to make it always wet. Leaving your printer off for how many days can cause ink drying that leads to printer head nozzle clogging.

This probably took less than 30 minutes in total, and instead of needing to buy a cartridge that is no longer manufactured, they can refill this and save 20$ every 300 pages or so (instead of buying and wasting a new cartridge).
De todas formas no se corrigió el problema. El problema estaba en las boquillas, no había la necesidad de abrir y lavar el cartucho, además el thiner puede dañar el cartucho o sus componentes. How to clean the nozzles of a dry printer cartridge in a 3 seconds. You need to immerse the printer cartridge halfway, nozzles down, for 2 - 3 seconds in boiling water, pull it out and wipe it. Let me explain: boiling water will slightly soak the dried paint and the internal pressure will “break through” and wash the nozzles with ink that is inside. True, the cartridge will “lose” some ink. Nah never do that once you remove the cover the airtight of the cartridge is broken and no mater what you do the ink will automatically drips into its nozzle messing up the printer inside
Dint do this i repeat dint do this if you want just leave the print head in warm water overnight but dont let water inside the cartridge cause it causes vapour bubbles which is worse then dried ink in the cartridge

Anybody Don't do this process, i lost my working cartridge by this process. Use hot soldering iron. Cut upper cover. Pull sponge clean and refill. It will work. But don't vibrate them. It,s printed bus bar is very thin. It will dammage when u try with knife and hammer.
Showing how to do something without any proper explanation and only playing can be sure fire way to do disappointment. It is like card shuffling. Big thumbs down.

nah just buy some T-1000 glue that is usually use for smartphone. those glue when it cured becomes rubber. that rubber become the sealer.

Just leave it on so the printer can trigger a maintenance cycle at preprogrammed intervals to keep the printer heads clean.

El problema de los cartuchos es que tienes que asegurar que no les entre aire por arriba, así he podido pasar imprimir por más de 4 meses de la 664

I think that green ink is a combination of blue and yellow color. Check your color cartridge.
