I finally put my "Jess made me do it" sticker on my garden journal. My husband saw it and asked how many I had. When I told him I only had one, he asked why they don't come in packs of twenty...There might be a lot of Jess made me do it over here.
I bought 2 Greenstalks during their last sale and I was so touched by what came in that box. They clearly put so much love into this product and their customers. It came with an adorable little card telling me about the person who packed my Greenstalks, stickers, a very helpful little how to booklet and some free seeds! I was not expecting it at all and it really made me feel special and valued as a customer. That's when I fell in love with not just my Greenstalks, but the entire company. I can't wait to buy some more! Thanks for the sale, Jess 🤗
I'm so excited! I've literally had money saved for months to buy the greenstalk for mother's day! Thank you, and thank greenstalk! I'm so excited to finally get one and to support their business!
Oh it fills my heart to bursting! My son is seven and Ben reminds me of him so. My son will come down to the garden, grab all the garden snacks and fill his belly, then continue on with his yard adventures😊 Whenever he has friends over he is quick to share and tell them all about all the snacks in mom's garden🤗❤️
I love to see kids play. Life grows them up soon enough. Ezra and Benjamin are fine young men. My kids are adults now but I always let them get dirty, eat outside if they wanted, etc. My saying has always been, “that’s what bathtubs and washing machines are for.” Blessing to you sweet Jess and to your beautiful family.
The farm boy, greenstalk salesman SPEAKS. I loved how he was so busy stuffing his mouth with them that he didn't say anything at first. But, when he spoke.....PRICELESS! LOL Love that little guy! It is extremely windy here today too.
I had to stop the video and give some unsolicited advice, Jess. Honey I know tank tops are great. I love them. HELLO I'm in menopause. However, besides the hat, find some thin long sleeved button ups when you thrift. Wear them over your tank tops. You will be so sorry over time if you don't. Speaking from experience here. Also, I have read in comments of other gardening videos where people have actually been getting blisters on their skin from just a short time out in the sun. PLEASE be careful dear lady!! I know summer is not here yet. But, the sun doesn't care.
I finally planted my lettuces TODAY!!!!! In my greenstalks!!!! They were root bound at this point because I haven’t been well enough to do it before today BUT because of your instructions I knew what to do!! My hands were REALLY dirty 😁😁. I had 6 romaine and 6 cute butternut head type!! I’m going to eat REAL FOOD that I grew!!! My cucumbers and tomatoes have to wait until they grow a bit longer until it gets warmer here!! Thank you SO much Jesse❤.

It's such a treat to see someone smelling sweet peas for the first time. If you're get new seed, make sure you get old fashioned varieties, those have the sweetest smell of all, but they are not as blousy. Keep picking them, pull off any seed heads and you will get hundreds.
You could always let all the basil grow a bit more and then harvest it as micro greens. That way you are able to honour their existence by getting nourishment from them and then you can remove them before they become a problem in the garden.
🌿Jess I just loved this vlog, can’t wait until all gardens are grown up tall, and producing.🌱all your vlogs in the garden you left behind is the reason I kept coming back to watch. Strolling thru your beds and under arbors just gets to me. I hope it will be the same in S. Carolina.🌸🌿I’m especially waiting for the wire trellises to be covered.😍I can’t garden like this anymore, but I can sure feel myself strolling with you in whatever you are doing, the joy is there living thru you. 🌺🌱thank you so very much. Your family touches my heart. Thank you❤️
You’re looking so blissfully happy and well in your garden space this year if you don’t mind me saying. Fair struck the toll of last year’s skin and soilgate out the park. 🏏❤
I absolutely love the look of your raised garden beds, so I went to Miah's youtube to see if he had a video of making them, and he does, yay! Hoping to talk my husband into building some like this for me because we have extra metal from our shed build. Love that yall have both channels that go hand in hand, so if we see something and you say yall built it, we can go see how it was done. I've learned so much from your channels. Thank yall so much!
😂 really enjoyed watching you huff sweet peas. I go huff herbs everytime I go to the garden. Most of them I don’t do anything with them… just there for huffing! It’s so true about the kids only being easy when it was their idea… next time if you suggest it they will just say nah that’s boring. It’s also amazing what is sooo fun when they have a friend over compared to if it’s just them. I had to upgrade my pool this year because my 8ft livestock tank was just waaay to lame for my middleschoolers…
It’s so true! That we can’t show too much enthusiasm over what kids do sometimes. I totally get that!! I just planted my container garden and posted videos. I’m using 5 gallon buckets currently. I am thinking about adding a Green Stalks or two. I love garden season. 🌱💕
It's a great video when the critical JBB elements are included. Jess, Ben and Bear. When we throw in an Ezra, well that makes it that much more sweet ❤.
My favorite sweet smelling plant is a sweet tea olive! I love the orange blossom ones ❤ our whole 325 acre central Texas homestead smells like perfume from God when they bloom 🥰 and white brush (our bees make amazing honey off of them too!)
One five tier ordered! Thanks Jess! I have always wanted a Garden Baby Book. Set up like a regular baby book but for seedlings as they grow. I always refer to my plants raised from seed as my babies, so it fits! 😊
Just ordered myself a new 7 tier leaf! I also have an original. Last Mother's day I bought a mixed one. thanks for being the wonderful person you are Jess!
Looks great! I watched Jeremiah building the Garden Bed and he did a great job. I did suggest a bed on top of the bed for "pillows", but you know those pots would work well for "pillows"..lol.
Because of your first video about green stalks I gave it a try ;) I now have 4 myself also have bought one for our daughter that balcony gardens in Nashville TN and one last year Mother’s Day sale for my mother in law. Always love supporting a small business. Thanks for blessing us with your videos;)
Your laughter brings so much joy! Just this week I set aside all the seeds to plant my next GreenStalk Original with patio tomatoes, basil, bee balm, cucumbers and I even threw in a pepper! (I didn’t need the sake -I’m probably stopping with the 8 GreenStalk towers I already have … but who knows?) Thanks for the reminder on fertilizer!
I always avoided sweet peas because I was afraid they would cross pollinate with edible peas or I would get them mixed up when harvesting, then I learned they do not cross pollinate and the pods are fuzzy so pretty hard to get them confused with edible pea pods. So now I grow them! They do smell oh so lovely ❤
Omg I literally just got 2 new GreenStalks yesterday. I feel so disappointed that I missed this substantial discount. When you're on SocSec, it makes a huge difference. Thank goodness I'm sitting down right now. I feel lightheaded.
I ordered two of the Greenstalkes because of your son. I realized I didn’t want my strawberries on the ground either. I enjoy your videos. Thank you so much for all your advice.
I just wanted to say that you have helped me through so much as a new gardener. You have really taught me to lean into being uncomfortable and when i make mistakes to just learn from them and keep moving. I don't think i would still be at this without you. And with your code i was finally able to get greenstalks today. Thanks for everything!
My cousin made fun of my Greenstalks for years saying it’s $ that could be saved if I used a recycled bucket, BUT last sale she decided she’d like TWO for her patio to keep more plants in a smaller space. I’m so excited to help her fall in love with them! 😊
I love your walking video tours. I've started to record my Plantings with videos as I go also. It helps the memory as things Start popping up. I may never broadcast my tours on TH-cam but it still helps me keep track of what's where. I've been known to plant over the same area with unintended companions. Not always beneficial, sometimes it turned out inspite of the error.
Sweet peas were my Nana’s favourite flower and I have grown them every year since she passed, I even found one with her name, Lois. They are incredible. Make sure you pinch out the seedlings as you do with other plants and ensure you keep the water up to them. I’m in Australia and we grow them the same way, seeds in on St Patrick’s day (autumn) and they bloom in spring.
When my girls were little my mother in law suggested giving them a bucket of water and some plastic containers to play with when it was hot. They would spend a couple of hours playing happily in the water. My mother in law was one of the wisest people I knew.
This is the year I go big on strawberries. I learned a new way to grow them the way the Amish do it, it's a total game changer when it comes to dealing with weeds.
Love your sweet pea flowers ..... toxic for kids as well....we had some growing on the side of our house....and I had no idea they where flowers.....haaaaaaa I got I bunch of kids to eat them...(thought they were bean)😲..we all had to go to the hospital to get our stomach pumped.....what a disaster....I still get teased about it to this day. It was over fifty years ago🤷🤦🤣😁
I envy you having so much planted and blooming already! I live in Minnesota and i am JUST NOW going to start some planting outdoors. Growing season "Short and Sweet" as they say😅. Mowed the grass for the first time 2 days ago.😁
I never pull volunteers until they are actually going to be in the way of my intended space plants. Free biomass, maybe a bloom or two, and with something like basil? Surely a few meal or tea additions! Hm, basil walkways. I wonder how long it could stand foot traffic, with some annual supporting plants. Can you imagine that smell though until then??? Mmmmm. Planted out some of my seedling rack started nasturtiums this morning. Found the deepest shade, and most likely to not go crusty soil spaces. Fingers crossed this will be a nasturtium seed year. Blooms too, of course, but I'm so over this "easy" plant being such a struggle for me! Once I can get to seeds, most things are cake from then on. 😅 To get children interested in something, it's always best to actual use it yourself for something, possibly not it's intended use, then leave it convenient. ;) Same with getting them to eat what they assume will be awful. Because they remember not liking it when they were 3 or something. Did sprinklers for years. Still haven't decided on an irrigation commitment, partly due to we would need to bury all the in-between bed lines. Tell you what though, those sprinklers did the job, and didn't cause half the problems they are rumored to. We set them at heights to go through the underside of things like tomatoes and okra, to reduce plant blockage or overhead watering. Just felt wasteful or rude when it's such drought conditions, and everyone else's place is half dead, to be watering pathways or bed breaks. But my goodness it was better on us, the humans for certain. Hauling hundreds of feet in connected hoses all over the place is just not the way. So badly tempted to set up sprinklers again this year. It is everyone's water table, but our personal well. We do reduce water usage, in the house, as much as possible anyway for outside water to be available.
I'm Southern Indiana but used to live in Fort Wayne. After Mother's Day and even a week or two afterwards is the time to plant in N. Indiana. Don't give up. In Southern Indiana, it's usually hotter because we're next to Louisville,Kentucky. But it's been pretty cool at night. So it's thrown me off to. But gardening is a gamble. But that fresh produce is worth it in the end.
I missed this deal and I will end up getting another! I have to say a bad storm knocked my 5 tier original to the ground! It was filled with soil and heavy!! I went out to inspect it fully expecting it to be cracked and broken! That was 2 years ago and it’s still perfect!
I have two green stakes, I have one planting with only strawberries the second with all herbs they are the best !!!!! they take up a small space and give a good harvest !!
Thanks for the video. I love your garden and your sense of humor. Sweet Peas have been my favorite since I was in the 7th grade. They grew wild and I would pick them on my way home from school. I bless you as well. Thanks for the discount code.
Well crapola. I ordered two greenstalks under the mother's day sale. One for me and one for my mom. They just arrived last weekend. Should have waited on the Jess sale!!! Can't wait to plant them anyway 🌱
@15:56 Jess I can't remember smelling a sweet pea. However, 4-O-Clocks do that for me. When they bloom they smell so good and remind me of the beach. Like a sweet sun tan lotion smell. I love it!
I grow many flowers but sweet peas are by far the best smelling flower. Short lived, but prolific if you keep cutting. I plant the up wind in the garden and the scent fills the air ❤❤
Came for Bens Opinions.
I finally put my "Jess made me do it" sticker on my garden journal. My husband saw it and asked how many I had. When I told him I only had one, he asked why they don't come in packs of twenty...There might be a lot of Jess made me do it over here.

You can freeze berries as you go too, in order to make jam from ever bearing strawberries. ❤️🍓
Yes you can...I've done it before.
Or to have fantastic frozen strawberry water in the middle of August...
Thank you for the tip!
Just ordered two Greenstalks for myself and my mom. Thank you for the secret sale!

Could it be sunflowers ? Sunflower oil is sometimes used for frying...

So many green stalks all over. I thing I might be seeing one in my near future. Love seeing Ben in the garden.
Thank you Ben for being the only child on YT. For my heart ❤️.
the spanish name for Chamomile is Manzanilla, it means "little apples" our horses love IT!
The garden is looking glorious! What a blessing it is to be a gardener!
Love seeing Ben growing up in the garden.
I think I've been pulling up tons of volunteers unknowingly! I think I need to Google before pulling.
