Five years ago I bought a used 2003 "Special Edition" Miata with 55K miles. 6-speed. Essentially same color (Strato Blue Mica) Wonderful car. I'll never sell it.
einfach wunderschön... gestern wie heute... zeitloses Design... löst heute noch jeden Tag Neid an jeder Ampel aus... jeden Penny wert...hach...mein Schätzchen... ich liebe dich 😍
I just bought a 2005 Mazdaspeed Miata with 55k original miles, 1 owner, from south carolina. Shipping it here to Austin in about a week. SO EXCITED!! I wonder if MW ever did a MSM review...???
Damn. This is the interior they should have put in my 04 with the Azure blue package. It has a silver body with the blue top like this one. My interior has some blue accents, but this one looks soooo much nicer!
Good god, did John Davis actually fit in that car? I have a 2001 Miata and at 5'5" I fit perfectly, and standing next to it the top comes to my chest. Mr. Davis is towering over that Miata! I've long read that the NA and NB series cars are tight for those over about 5'10" and pretty much impossible for 6" and over. If the man couldn't drive it, I feel bad for him.
I’m 6’6” - but lean, and drive my ‘99 NB daily, even with the top up. The lining of which does just graze my head. When I first sat in it, I wasn’t sure the car was going to work for me. The steering wheel was basically in my crotch, and my knees are in the dash. But I wanted it! So where there is a will, there is a way. I’ve received some humorous comments getting out of it.
Miata is a great fun roadster. I enjoyed driving it. For better handling enhancement, Ohlins coilover work very well. For one who seek for greater handling, ride quality.
@@LARSENBISQUITS agreed. People are always coilover this and coilover that, but unless you track your car they’re not necessary or even best suited to the street. Koni sports and a Flyin’ Miata front sway bar are great options that definitely enhance the car.
I do not see the appeal of cashing out the extra $$$ for this "special" Miata, the wheels are the same as the base model, the blue paint is nice but kinda similar to the more navy blue on base model cars. Some of the other "special" Miatas have cool BBS wheels with more memorable paint colors
No, they are around as cheap to insure as a Civic. I pay around 660 every 6 months(I'm 16 as well). Not too bad. Though if it were under my dad's name it would be half.
That’s subjective. The NA was certainly cute, and everybody loves a first generation. But the NB was a concerted effort to improve upon some the NA’s stylistic weak points. A little more muscular in the tail, a more sensuous body overall, with just a dash of RX-7. I think Mazda succeeded in this.
Didn't realize people even still thought about this stuff anymore. Nothing wrong with being gay, get over your masculinity issues. If you ever hesitate to get in a car with another guy because it might look gay, you might actually be gay. And totally cool, embrace it, fella.
+mattsterzz I dont have this car but better have fun driving than care about looks. Like sure its fun to drive a fukin hummer in LA traffic and its so easy to park it where ever the fuck i want. right ?
After 230,000 miles.. My 99 MX5 Miata still going strong
u have the 10ae?
what's your secret to long life?
@@dr.jiIIaIicecooper2587 LMAOOOO
I own a 10AE Miata. It's number 630 of 7500. Original 75,364 miles. Loving it!
Lucky dude. I'm 17 but I'm saving up right now for an NB, preferably the 10AE. Hopefully I can get it by the end of this year!!
Did you ever get one?
Go Faast I owned one as well. I thought it was strange the red anniversary badges are only on one side of the fenders. I now have a 1992 Miata.
I think mine is #675! Lol I'll post it in my next video!
I had this anniversary issue. I saw it on the show room and fell in love with this blue beauty right away.

The NB Miata is my favorite version. I had 2 of them....one with the 5sp and one with the 6sp......I actually preferred he 5sp..

the music is gold
its looks like an early dodge viper
It got designed by one of the guys who designed that one ;)

Sup with the island music lol
Who doesn't want to drive a Miata with the top down on an island? :D
Agreed

My neighbor would have loved this. He's been a fan of the Miata (MX-5) since it came out 1989.
Mazda Miata MX-5 is beautiful and nice car
With him standing next to it, makes it look like a kids Power-Wheels.
In good condition, these are still going for decent $$$
Track day bro
Love my 99 Black & Tan.

Please do a video of the Subaru 2.5RS, 94-97 Integra GS-R, 92-95 Civic SI, and Prelude Vtec!
28k in 2000 money?! That’s more than 40k in today’s money the top Miata now (excluding the rf) with all the bells and whistles
13 feet longer stopping distance than the 1995 M edition they reviewed.
Wow. Maybe the M edition had grippier tires. M edition also had BBS wheels which I would assume were lighter.
MotorWeek should do a retro review of the Volkswagen New Beetle! I don't know if an episode ever aired but if it did definitely post it!
Will you put the original 1990-1994 Miata with the 1.6?
They have it and the base 99 Miata reviews on their playlists

My name is Olin lmaoo
Ohlins are $2500. Kinda overkill for this. A set of bilsteins or Koni sports are better matched.

Any word on the first generation miata review?
Ethan Commins ~ yeth. Twas fabulouth.
air conditioning = drop the top
Does that work when it's pouring with rain outside? I hate that argument. Also direct sun in some countries is hotter than keeping the roof up
do theses only come in 6 speeds?
Yes 10aes are all 6sp MT.
I like the NB1, shame about those seats. The NA had great seats but the NB1's are flat and lacking bolstering
so much fun...
Does anyone know if this car has a 3.9 or 4.3 torsen?
For the six speed, the axle ratio is 3.91:1.
If I bought a Miata it would be this one. Nice fun little car and this is coming from a guy that owns fast muscle cars and street bikes.

Are Miatas expensive to insure? I'm 16 and want to buy a manual Miata
No, they are around as cheap to insure as a Civic. I pay around 660 every 6 months(I'm 16 as well). Not too bad. Though if it were under my dad's name it would be half.
+Nick Villecco I'm 18, 4 speeding tickets , need an SR22 and it is only 160 a month for full coverage. And mine is a 2000, so no it is not.
ZOOM ZOOM
First gen with pop up headlights are just so much prettier..

hmmm 2 dudes in a convertible yeah thats not gay lol
You've obviously never been in a Miata
+Gabba Shanking haha. what car is on ur thumbnail? just bought a 2000 miata all original(but not for long)
connar's a manly man...he drives a truck so hes ok

dont those men look manly
Go drive a lifted truck. My manhood isn't affected by the MX5
+mattsterzz I dont have this car but better have fun driving than care about looks. Like sure its fun to drive a fukin hummer in LA traffic and its so easy to park it where ever the fuck i want. right ?
Its a joke. Lighten up christ
great car...manly men are so overrated
