Fortnite isn't evne toxic. It's just a bunch of 9 year olds screaming over their mics and yelling "I HIT YOU! I HIT YOU!". And in fortnite you can't even really troll. But in game like league, you can afk, feed, etc.

How in the world is Rainbow 6: Siege not on this list? I've got a lot of tolerance for toxic communities, playing a lot of games on this list, but Siege is the only game where there community is so toxic I can't bring myself to play it.
I've been eyeing that game but since I keep hearing about how toxic the community is, I'll spend my money on something else.

@@dark14life I've had my fun with it. The toxicity hits a fun factor at some point unlike with LoL. Get headshot have some giggles and move on, but then I've been losing interest since the defenders are rushing out of the building to kill the attackers within 10 seconds of the round starting.
Being a veteran Sonic fan, and a long time Smash fan is extremely difficult at times. Some folks actually thrive on causing trouble, and it's downright annoying.

Is it toxic that someone wants to play without items, or one a neutral map? I genuinely didn't know anyone had a problem with this until this video. I've played this way since melee, it takes the randomness out of the equation and makes the game completely skill based. The idea that making Smash Bros play closer to a standard fighting game than a standard Nintendo game just doesn't sound toxic to me. I also don't push my preferences on other people, every person I know who plays Smash either has the same preferences or doesn't care. How about this, is it also toxic to whine about the game being played the way it is professionally because you prefer when there's no skill involved? Is it toxic to actually set down the controller and walk away because the way YOU want to play the game is the way five year olds play the game? Those questions are rhetorical because while typing this out I decided you people are the toxic part of the Smash fan base. When the game is played for actual money, those are the rules used because its the most fair, and here you people are whining and crying that its not fair that people decided they want to play the fair way. This is like asking your buddy to give you a 300% handicap in a fighting game every time you play. Its been years now, just stop playing the game and move on.

I remember one of my favorite TH-camrs a few years ago (Vannamelon) playing through Undertale for the first time, and I thought it was really funny. I was actually absorbed into the story, but I was unfortunately let down when I went to watch the second part and her saying at the beginning that it would be the last part, since people were attacking her for not playing the game the “right” way.

Smash community became toxic when they developed that “gaming hall of fame” mindset when Smash Bros is mostly a celebration of Nintendo in its own. Every time Nintendo adds one of their own characters to their all star game they get pissed off and automatically write them off as “promotional” or “shill” characters-The only time that happened was with Corrin since his game wasn’t released worldwide when he got announced in smash. Byleth I can sort of understand being a promotional addition, but Min Min and the Aegis girls’ games sold really well and are 3 / 4 years old now-what is there to promote for games that old? Guest characters are awesome, but i think Ultimate went overboard. Hopefully if we get a new smash in the future they tone it down to how smash 4 did it.
That aside though, it’s constant complaining no matter who gets added and the competitive part of the community are too lazy to adapt to matchups so they call for unreasonable character bans.
Also, just my opinion: Introspektive in some cases, Alpharad and Diddy Kongstar (some guy on instagram) are some of the biggest brats in the smash community. (I’m sure they’re good people irl, they just come off as total dicks with their opinions)
I kind of agree with you. I play competitively most of the time and I'd prefer a 3rd party rep, but honestly I don't care who gets in and I never complain if I'm on Elite Smash and play against someone with a non-competitive ruleset. I play on custom stages with final smash meter turned on when I'm playing casually because it's fun. I also really want 2B to be the last DLC character but if it's a different character then I won't be mad because there's definitely people out there who would like that character and I already have the 2B/A2 mod that goes over Pythra so it's not a bog deal. I was actually excited when Byleth got announced. Smash is literally a game that wasn't meant for competitive play and people take it way to seriously. I play competitively a lot and main Joker and know things like gun dashing and good mixup options and play on Pokémon Stadium 2 but I like playing casually sometimes and don't understand why people rip on casual players. There's some maps that I hate like New Pork City or Pac Land but other people like it and there's nothing wrong with that. It's a really fun game. I even love Brawl because it was my first Smash game and I started playing it when I was 8. I sometimes still play it for nostalgic purposes and I like to mod it so I can play Project M. The Smash community is indeed toxic and if the last DLC character is a Nintendo rep then they're gonna be pissed off. I only care if the character is fun or from a game that I like but if it's neither of those, then I'll be happy for whoever wanted that character in

While I do agree, I think the main problem with Smash Ultimate is the mindset of most players.
You see, of course Smash Ultimate is supposed to be a fighting/PvP game, that’s clearly obvious. What most people don’t realize is that it isn’t supposed to be hugely competetive game, and just a way for Nintendo to show off their best creations off. Heck, most people play smash bros for fun or to use their favorite character in a game, which doesn’t even have to be exlucisve to Nintendo (Steve, cloud, sonic, etc.)
However, in the competetive scene of smash ultimate, it’s as if ur forced to actually be one. I’ve had so many times in online PVP where I would just fight against these no Life sweats, and it just isn’t fun. Plus, with how toxic the community is constantly bad mouthing you after every loss is just sickening.
Sure, smash ultimate might be a competing PvP game, for me it’s more fun that actually competing, I think Nintendo did an incredible job with the smash bros franchise. However, it’s the players that ruin the game for me, although it still remains one of my favorite games to this day.
@@YoRHa_XeN the game isn’t meant to be highly competetive. It was meant as a fun, big crossover of all of our favorite Nintendo franchises and was always supposed to be PvP based, but not that much. Despite this, I still love the smash bros franchise
and that's why I play solo on 99% of my games to this day even on games I love playing that have that multiplayer element in it's core, especially since it's not like the days where you all where in the same room when you played multiplayer and could reach out and slap a toxic player, which usually stopped it

Same, being a casual gamer I usually played singleplayer games or back when it was considering 2Player couch gaming. Sure, I play few multiplayer games ie Monster hunter & Rocket league, but only with friends that I know.

When TH-camrs played undertale for the first time and knew nothing going in, people instantly ruined it by berating them for not playing the way they wanted them to play and spoiled endings. It put so many people off the game.
Yeah. Not to mention that online people called Undertale an "Earthbound rip-off" despite the fact that Toby Fox was inspired by RPG games, which that included the _Mother_ series.

Biggest example was Markiplier's playthrough which he cancelled mid-way as the toxic side of the fanbase screamed and pissed their pants at everything he did and spoilt it. Sucks as it is a great game, not perfect, but an absolute blast to play.
Honestly Its a shame there are so many people in these communities that are elitists, crazy, arrogant, rude, mean, childish etc. People need to learn how to chill out and just have fun with the game because it really isn't that serious.

#21 Any and all simulation driving/racing communities. If you play using anything than the "approved" peripherals, then you are harassed and hounded about it. Play with a controller? You are going to get dumped on because you don't have a wheel. Have a wheel? Guess what, it's the wrong one and you are not a true simulation fan. And heaven help you if you play via keyboard, even the controller users will dump on you for that transgression. People will scour your replay footage to prove that you aren't using an "approved" peripheral, and constantly make fun of your input of choice as they do. And once they have that proof, you will suddenly find yourself being kicked out of online matches, lobbies or runs for not using the right control method.
Im surprised that the Smash Bros series, and for that matter Call of Duty isnt higher on the list
Tf2 has one of the most toxic communities? There are frequently times where a whole server will stop killing eachother and everyone makes friends

God I had some of the most terrible online experiences playing League of Legends...It literally made me become toxic as well....One day it just dawned on me..Games are suppose to be fun stress relievers..Why do I play League if I'm left more stressed after playing than when I started? Uninstalled it 5 years ago and don't have any regrets.
League is where I go to be toxic. It is the one place where I insult people relentlessly when they aren't up to par. I've called into question people's literacy, their parents love for them, and used various slurs.

We can add into the list of toxic community: Splatoon Community, Fire Emblem Community and Pokemon Community. I don't know how are these community in other country but in my France country, well, when we see how they act or think, it's no longer wonder why english people call French people as "French Froggy" because this nickname fit very well to the french community of Splatoon, Fire Emblem and Pokemon and thanks to these 3 community, I don't like and don't play any Splatoon, Fire Emblem and Pokemon games because I don't want look like as them.
First these 3 community are bad faith. When you tell to them something real like how the french community of Pokemon doesn't stop cry like a baby just because Pokemon graphism are ugly and complain every time in the comment section of Pokemon trailer games on Switch or how about Nintendo only care about monney and be more focus on the games that they will made them rich like Pokemon, Fire Emblem and Splatoon and doesn't care about some others of their games that we don't have see for a while a new episode like F-Zero, Star Fox, Kid Icarus and else, they insult you and claim that you lying and that the Nintendo games on Switch are varied but, to be honnest, I think they should comeback at school for do somes Maths again because so much Pokemon game (2 games per years), 4 Fire Emblem games, 2 Splatoon games while we have just one Metroid game and 0 Star Fox, F-Zero and Kid Icarus games exclusively on Switch, I'm sorry but I don't call it "varied". Plus they want absolutly prove that they have right and the others have wrong that they imagine the most illogical things. For example, I meet a french people from Splatoon community who wasn't agree about me about it's not fair that Captain Falcon was still alone in the roster for represent F-Zero serie from Smash 64 to Ultimate and F-Zero deserve more characters in Smash and this du*bass from Splatoon claim that I have wrong about it and claim that we don't really need more F-Zero characters anymore since, for him, we already got some F-Zero newcomer like Mewtwo who is a F-Zero characters and never be into Pokemon games by what he say to me. Or another one from Fire Emblem community who wasn't agree with me about the Smash Ult roster isn't balance about arround 10 Mario, Pokemon and Fire Emblem characters while others are very inferior like Star Fox, Kirby and Earthbound characters who are just 3 and 2 and he even say to me that Nintendo should remove Ness or Lucas from Earthbound because, for him, 2 characters from the same serie is too much into Smash and for him, it would be better to have more Mario characters in Smash because, for him, there is not enough Mario characters. No longer wonder why french people have inferior IQ than others people from others country who have a IQ supperior than us, I think we are unbeatable for be stupid and to have a very low IQ,
Second: Somes of them seem love the cyber harassment, I say that because I remember about the Byleth drama in Smash Ultimate when Sakurai got Cyber harassment and insulted and death treat on his Twitter just because he have add te Fire Emblem characters who was too much so yeah it's the Smash community who start the problem first but for the Fire Emblem community, I didn't appreciate that they say it's fun to see Smash community throw their salt on Byleth and Sakurai so I have been shocked because I wonder if most of the Fire Emblem community are retarded or they are just somes psychopath for have fun about someone who is victim of harassment because I don't see where we must laught to see Sakurai be insulted by Smash community, I think it's pretty sad because, by do too much harassment, it can push someone to suicid himself. In my France country, somes children put end to their life into school due to be harassment by others children and it end up into the JT with parents who suffer to lost their children and don't understand why adult don't do anything in school for avoid it so it the suicid can work on a adult too. Plus, without Sakurai, we will never have the Kirby serie, the Smash Bros serie or Kid Icarus so Sakurai have a important role into Nintendo because without Sakurai in Nintendo, I think everything would be different so it's very disrespectful and it's disgusting me to see some crazy people who love to see people be harassed so it's one of the reason why I really hate Splatoon, Fire Emblem and Pokemon community and games.

When they have another useless Pokemon, Fire Emblem and Pokemon games on Switch, most of Nintendo community don't tell anything to them but the fun fact is, when we get a new Metroid like Dread or it's the HD version of Zelda Skyward Sword on Switch, strangely, Splatoon, Fire Emblem and Pokemon community throw their salt and insult theses games and the players and say they would prefer have another news for Splatoon 3 or a new Pokemon game than get a new Metroid game and even say do a remake of Zelda Skyward Sword in HD is taking players like a sheep but the funny part is, we have eat so much Pokemon remake games on Switch and they don't say anything to theses remake and claim it's very good to have them. Pretty logicial in France to say that no?
Alright a last one: Splatoon, Fire Emblem and Pokemon community are very hypocrites. When most of them complain that the Pokemon graphism games are ugly and claim that they will never buy this new Pokemon games, strangely, it's these same Pokemon game who are most sold than other game the day when it released in France. Pretty weird from Pokemon community who claim to not buy it. Just like the Byleth accident where they complaint there is too much Fire Emblem characters into Smash but, when one of them release a video speculation about last Smash Ult DLC characters will be a Pokemon characters, be ready to laught about this, the Pokemon community wish its really true and that the Pokemon characters is from first or last Gen but don't say anything about there is too much Pokemon characters into Smash Ult just like Mario and Fire Emblem roster.
So yeah, in conclusion, for those who say Fornite have the most toxic community ever, I think the Fornite community have been beatten by Splatoon, Fire Emblem and Pokemon community together. I never meet so much toxic disgusting people who made me sick. They don't deserve to have another useless recycled Splatoon, Fire Emblem and Pokemon bullshit game on Switch because their sh*tty attitude by act like Children King where it's them who must have right on everything while the others are just piece of s**t from their eyes.

There is nothing that will be left alone in the world or stolen that isnt bolted to the ground either, unless its military installations with shoot to kill warnings, or like the tomb of the unknown soldier, but even there people thread out in the open before given a warning. It's flying under the radar, but its nuts what has happened to the AoE2 community in the last 4-5 years. It has genuinely gone from being one of the most wholesome and welcoming communities in all of gaming to being a dumpster fire of trolling, noob-bashing and wall to wall berating anyone who is in anyway below you on the skill curve.
The issue is depressingly enabled from the top as well. Actual top tournament players (to varying extents) have an unfortunate habit of being directly involved in smurfing to get content for their accounts, and the streaming (and laughing) at replays of low ranked games to the delight of a mocking chatlog is a well-known series by a very well-known TH-camr.
I have no idea what happened but it's certainly not a game I'd consider jumping on board with now. A real shame.

When I first bought R6 my friends started showing me how to play and gave me tips, tricks, etc. Then during a game where we lost I got a party chat invite and when I said I got an invite my friends starting yelling "Don't accept it don't accept it!" I asked why and they said that people will do that and then proceed to harass you. I usually don't play R6 anymore because of that.

i know, right? even though I love pokemon sword and shield, it seems like at least 50% of teams online are hacked. it's crazy how hard it is to not only get 1 competitively viable shiny, ( literally 1 in thousands of pokemon,) and yet half of the opponents i end up playing against have a not only perfect team, but every single one of their pokemon is shiny! it's one thing if it's 1 or 2, but all 6 has obviously a 99.9999990% chance of being hacked, not to mention if they're original trainer name is some website name, which is further evidence of hacking. i realize that a few full shiny teams are bound to be legitimate, but how can we possibly know which ones are? also, if you genuinely have put in the work for a legitimate full shiny team, i think that is amazing, I'm only saying that if i don't know you personally, how can tell which is which? that's why i feel suspicious when I see a full shiny competitive team, because it is so common for many people to hack it into the game, and it sadly devalues the hard work of legitimate shiny hunters. if nobody hacked, not only would the game be more fun, but everyone who plays it would be better off because hacking provides an unfair advantage, because if someone hacks a perfect team in 5 minutes, then they can immediately practice online, while everyone who refuses to hack is spending time catching, training and breeding their pokemon for a competitive team, which can take hours or even days. this is why hacking is such a problem in the pokemon community.

I played Eve for over a decade. There were several problems with the game, but toxic community was not one of them. I think I only ever heard a kid on coms like 2 or 3 times total. The game itself weeds out a lot of the type of people that make other games hard to deal with. Most Eve players will murder you if they can, and they can be astoundingly patient and persistent about it, but they are usually good natured, especially towards new players.
I've never understood why or how the Sonic fanbase could be so toxic, since my primary reason for me liking the franchise is due to the fact that it's the only modern game franchise with anthropomorphic animal protagonists to enjoy nowadays. Crash Bandicoot, on the other hand...

This is why I play games that are mainly single-player. I am not that good at games like Call of Duty or Splatoon (which does not have voice chat, but people can be creative), and I only play the mobile version of COD with everything muted. In any multi-player game I play, I mute the chat and do not look back. I play games to have some fun, and while I get frustrated at times, I accept it and move on; these people get it too seriously. I have been called names because I was not "good enough" when playing in multi-player, and I got tired of it. I play to have fun and get away for a bit, not to be insulted because I have a job and college and cannot spend hundreds of hours on the game.

I played Roblox when I was a kid, from 2008 to 2012. It’s so sad to see that it’s now one of those highly toxic games. It wasn’t during those golden years. Everyone was cool. Every game was fun. The popular games at the time were just simple, lowly-scripted games created by the average person, but nowadays they’re all well-polished games that takes dedicated teams to develop them so that they can get paid by Roblox. It’s just completely different from what it used to be.
I also notice that no one learns how to “script” on it anymore. Roblox has pushed kids away from developing their owns games and learning how to code (which is how I learned how to code, before moving onto non-Roblox-related projects) and moved towards encouraging them to ask their parents to buy Robux for them so they can more thoroughly enjoy the fancy games that the skilled teams create. Roblox used to be one of the *best* things to let your kid play, but now it’s one of the *worst* ... I’m at least grateful for their influence of my early exposure to computer programming.

@@ggcreeperxd yeah sure have you ever played on a minecraft server? Dream is dream but the dream community isn’t the Minecraft community. I have never queued a dream stan who was even half decent at the game and most of them don’t even play Minecraft
Even with how toxic these gaming communities are it simply just does not compare toxic the fan bases are for different K-pop bands. My wife is a big time K-pop fan and she likes a whole lot of different K-pop groups, but so many of kpop fans are extremely elitist and say that you have to like only one K-pop group and you are not allowed to like more than one.
Even worse a lot of the K-pop fans actually hate it when members of their favorite K-pop band actually have a life to live and have serious relationships and oftentimes these singers and dancers have to actually hide the fact that they're in a relationship because their fans get pissed off over it like they think they have some chance with these Superstars. As a result people who perform in these kpop bands are afraid to actually pursue relationships because their fans want them to be single for the rest of their lives.
If they don’t include the r6s community I will freak out
