@@Stockezy Those were sick shots. I hope you were able to give him those photos or your IG for him to look it up. Go EZ on yourself. Blowing out the sky has it's own look to it.
@@JeremySchmit57 interesting indeed. That is actually my 3rd favorite lens for street. If this video gets enough attention that will be the next in the series. Thanks for the suggestion! 🙏🏾
Stockezy dude I got all f2 lenses because of you, sold my 56, 90, 16, and 10-24 and kept the 23, 35, 50! Man you don't know how much you've inspired me! Please show us some love with those f2's!
Yes! I really liked the POV nature of this video. Coincidentally I'm watching this on the bus as i travel to New York myself lol. So now I'm your newest subscriber, and thanks for reviewing this lens as I've been considering it myself
I am here because Jeremy got a notification that you finished your upload. Going to come back and watch it when the Full HD version is available :D Already looks like a fun video!
Okay now I watched it haha! Man, that lens is sexy! Makes me want to travel back in time and get the X-Pro2 instead of the X100F... That shot at 6:09 shows exactly what kind of dynamic you get with a 16mm (24mm FF equivalent). It feels like you are there with them on the street! And that moment at 6:24 was too funny :D Yes for more POV videos!
Great video. i switched to fuji just a few week ago and instantly fall in love with those f2 primes. Reminds me old analogue cameras, which I loved and started with.
You mentioned NYC. Greetings from Jersey City your neighbor across the river! I just purchased thr 16mm 2.8 to complete my small prime Fuji lens lineup.
Love the POV style. Love how your videos aren't about mindless pixel peeping and actually getting out there taking shots and being creative - what photography should be about!
This guy with lights on his hands - great photos, a new preset - juicy colors, a Guy with a cigar - perfect photo! I think that this lens is perfect for streetphoto.
This is a geat video and I can't understand why don't you have more. You are great on camera, you have good editing abilities and so so much to say and teach! Please make more!
Thank you for the words of encouragement! You're right, I should be uploading more frequently and I will be! Thanks for watching and the kick in the a**. :)
alright alright alright. Subscribed. I can relate so much to your experience. I started with Fuji and then moving to Leica. I first bought an XT-1 then Xpro2 and then the X100f. Then I finally decided to get an M6 which then pushed me to get an M240. I practically only use my Leicas. It's so natural to shoot with the rangefinder. Great videos man! can't wait to see more of your Leica journey.
Awesome video mate! This video really put me over the edge. Buying it now. Btw, that was some smart thinking with the slow shutter speed with the dancer. Brilliant man!
This my first video of yours I seen, insta-subscribed. That dancing man at the beginning was hella cool. Nice shots. I’ve got the same lens on my xpro3.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The POV provides a unique perspective for someone like me who isn't a city dweller. It almost makes me want to drive up to NYC and give it a try.
Great review. You got some really excellent shots. I really like your street-shooting style -- totally comfortable. (And I dig that colour preset on the shot with the woman's jacket.) New subscriber!
You’re stuff is straight up sick!!! I went to school in New York and your photos take me back man! They are real and represent all that New York is! So rad! Definitely checking out more vids on your channel.
I like that you can get the full scene of the street. It definitely looks good for some layering and also being a little sneaky with your shots. I love how small the lens is! Great video!
I really like this kind of POV and approach, it's a good immersive experience to see how the lens work and see how you'll managed with in different situations. Nice series those improvised captures!
Was on the fence about this lens. I shoot a lot of bike life moments and I am close to the riders when I do it, which cuts off that bottom wheel at 35mm (x100f). When I saw your video I knew I had to give it a shot. I appreciate your help with the decision. Keep doing you!
I’d like a POV video on the 18mmf2 aswell. I own that one and thinking about selling that and get the 16f2.8 instead but I really don’t know. Like the 18 really much, but its af is kinda slow sometimes.
Nice photos. Great street photography skills! Which shutter speed did you use for freezing the image while walking? Thank you very much. Love your content
I was in New York City last weekend, and I was shooting the streets with a Fujifilm Natura S, a point-and-shoot film camera with a 24mm f/1.9 lens. Much like you and the 16mm lens on the X-Pro2, it is definitely wider than my preferred angle of view, but I loved the challenge of getting close to people, even for an environmental portrait. You definitely can't stand across the street and be incognito with a wide-angle lens. I'm glad you had fun with this lens.
Love your style photograph. Your emphasize on people as character and your composition always makes your photos so engaging. I love see video of you shooting a 35mm F2 (nifty fifty) I feel I don't see may street photography with nifty fifty. Many seems to shoot wide or short telephoto. A pov video of you shooting the nifty fifty and your thoughts would be amazing.
Thank you for the kind words brother! I am absolutely going to make more of these POV videos and it wouldn't be right if I didn't do one on the night fifty. 🙏🏾
F4-F8, Shutter Auto, ISO Auto 200-3200 with Min Shutter of 1/500, Zone Focus with AF-C When I run and gun like this. Also Mechanical & Electronic shutter. Hope that helps!
@@Stockezy thanks, always curious how other Fuji Street shooters set the camera and you nailed the focus really well in many of your shots. I'm more of a zone focusing guy but that has its limitations. Haven't used my X-Pro2 much anymore since I got an X100F and X-T3 but it's one fine camera. The 16mm F2.8 seems nice too, I only have the F1.4. For street, I love the 23mm F2 the most hands down. Subscribed by the way. Peace
4.09 - in my opinion, the color has got something of the color images of newton. maybe your profile is little bit more saturated. i don't know which film he usually used, but if the museum is open again i'll go watch in vitrine where his stuff is exhibit, maybe there is also a roll of film.
Just got the Fuji 23mm F2.0 and absolutely love it. Now after seeing this, I think the 16mm is next on my shopping list. Great photos especially the slow shutter speed ones of the dancer. Very creative! Keep these type of videos coming👌🏼👍🏼
Hey man, Big fan of your photography, would be a cool video to go through some of your presets, why you chose to make them your presets, how you made them etc. etc.
Great video. Thanks. You are very good at framing your images from the hip; I always end up with half a head or something like that :-) I already own the 14mm, so I am not really sure I need the 16mm. I guess the main difference would be AF speed and noise.
Thanks, brother! I spent a good amount of time working on aim with my favorite lenses. A good tip for sniping people is to hold the front of the lens when you aim. It helped me a lot. 16mm is def a hard sell if you already have the 14mm. I really need to try that lens out.
The new color preset looks pretty dope. Looks like it can be versatile for a variety of contexts. I'd like to see POVs of the 23mm and 50mm which are the lenses I use the most!
dude, using the slow shutter speed on the dancer was a smart move!
What wasn't smart was placing him in the sky though. It ended up blowing out the background. Ya live and ya learn! Thanks for watching!
I don't mind blown out highs tho! Reminds me of film. Keep em coming man!

Stockezy 50mm f2 would be nice. That is not a commun focal length for street in comparison to the 23mm f2 and the 35mm f2.
