Limbo is easily one of my favorite indie games of all time, and I enjoyed replaying it for this retrospective more than a decade later. Which indie games have left a mark on your gaming journey? Let me know below and I may cover it in the future!
Duuude... I can hardly wait for a review from your side about GRIM FANDANGO ! If for Limbo you had this much to say I can only imagine what's there to be said with Grim. OMG Absolutely fabulous and very comprehensive review ! Thank you !
Great review and great channel. If I had to critizice anything, that would be your mic eq: low-mid freqs are a bit over the top. Other than that, superb content and quality. Subscribed!
Hi Gamenoob, I hope you're doing well as you transition away from the other channel to this one! My favorite video game of all time is without a shadow of doubt a game called Outer Wilds (not to be confused with The Outer Worlds). Limbo and Outer Wilds are in some ways very similar, as they both take the approach of "less is more" when referring to game mechanics and the explanation of the plot (or lackthereof). I think you would really really love the game, and it's a game that I personally believe everyone should play at some point in their life. It's a very thought provoking, interesting, mechanically fun and unique game that I adore. Do you think in the future that you would ever be interested in making a video similar to this one for it, if you found it was a game you enjoyed too? That said your editing is absolutely top tier as always and I loved the coverage of limbo regardless. Liked & Subscribed to the new channel, and I hope to see you continue doing what you do.
I got here from your NFS video thanks to the YTGod. Watched all of the others after that, and all I got to say right now is that your short, but detailed style of expressing your thoughts and opinions is just excellent. Hope you keep doing these videos about stuff that you enjoy. Saludos desde Argentina (now you're fully worldwide lmao).
I was introduced to the game by my friend back in 2015 with fervent. I was, ans I guess is one of the best game he played. He said explicitly that the game requires too much excertion of mind
Great work. I feel it's good to discuss the ending for those who have finished it. This is a retrospective as well as a review - Just give a proper spoiling warning.
Great vid, very interesting takes on game's world design and mechanics. I have mixed feelings about Limbo to be honest. Can't really point any major flaw, but I always saw it as a tech/art demo: like a sweet short first presentation of Playdead's capabilities. At least half of puzzles are too simple or just here to demostrate how fluidly physics engine handles everything. It's not a bad thing because it flows naturally, but this is what all tech demos do 😏 Art style is timeless tho and spawned a bunch of clones back then. Can't say I don't like the game, just don't see it as a masterpiece because of how short and simple it is. There are instances where «short and simple» equals «genius» but not with Limbo IMO, even considering this is studio's first project with low budget. Just an interesting short experience, probably replayed it 3-4 times on different platforms. My personal favourite in this weird genre of indie puzzle/platformers is Little Nightmares 1 (including the DLC which I love even more than a base game). It has many flaws and controls are clunky but it has probably the best visual narrative I've even seen in any form of media. Second game is meh tho 😒

Inside ;)
Little Nightmares 1&2 (same Scandinavian vibe as Limbo/Inside)
Fez was quite nice :)
GRIS
No other gets close for me, a beautiful work of art made videogame.
Outer Wilds
have you played their next game "Inside" yet? I absolutely loved that one as well :)
I have, it's a very good game as well!
going into my library and might even finish it. who has time for 1000 +hours of skyrim, read dead redemption and so on..
We need a new TES already Roman :D I'm sick of redownloading and modding Skyrim for the 948th time
Hi, just heard about your other channel (this one), so I came to see what's up :)
Gotta say, the intro sounds? Great ASMR :)
The sound design of Limbo is amazing! I just added a few additional effects. :) Thanks for stopping by

Thank you my friend. I will check it out since you mentioned it's similar to Limbo. Thank you for the suggestion. :)

Great review for a fantastic game. Great job age of noob! It was a mesmerizing game and I feel like I played it for free back in the day!
just finished watching all your videos, looking forward to more.
Thank you for the support :)
My wife's favorite game of all time. It's a bit intense for my tastes, but it's a *very* admirable piece of culture.
impressive review man keep it up!

Still on my list to finish (reasons...) but love everything about it that I've played and seen so far!
Superb review. I always liked indie games and this is a great review

Glad you enjoyed it Marcos :)
Great review! So what did you think of their next title Inside? Are you gonna review that next? 🙂
Thanks! Indeed, I've played that one as well and will cover it eventually. 👍🏻

I suppose I could've given a spoiler warning at the end and discussed it indeed. Next time! :)
Great video for a great game. Thank you
Cheers :)

I will definitely check out Little Nightmares at some point! Heard good things about it.
Game is currently on steam sale for $1!
Ah I had missed this video... and I had missed this game. I've picked it up today ($1, that's a good investment), I will see how I like it!
