The bell tones of that Stratocaster. That opening riff makes you just "stop". Out of all their songs. This is the one song that takes me back to a certain place in time. EARLY U2. Enough said.
Perhaps we could take a moment to acknowledge the undeniable fact that Edge’s backing vocals have long been by far the most underrated and underappreciated aspect of this band. That is all. Carry on…
@chuuchuub2688 Yes! I have no idea how he remembers those lyrics. I’m a lyrics guy. I’ve always been able to remember lyrics to songs. Except that one. Maybe bc it’s monotone and repetitious. But I absolutely love it.
Hard to argue with that. Glad they resurrected it and gave it this justice. I also think it's the real standout on the underrated and terrific Boy album.
This was the the best part of the tour. an Cat Dubh and Into The Heart, so early on in the set, live in Dublin blasting out of the PA in Croke Park in the evening sun - such a dark track to play in a stadium setting, so early on in the set, on the tour for an album so blatantly commercial - it was a reminder that these guys like to ###k with the formula !!
Wow.. U2 op zijn best. Dit is de mooiste vertolking van de pijn en de schoonheid van de zoektocht van een jongen naar de zin van zijn bestaan. Into the heart❤️
Adam's bass lines from the early 80's are awesome! Gloria, An Cat Dubh, I Will Follow, Out Of Control, Stories For Boys... Boy/October has the best U2 bass lines.
Me too! Saw them live for the first time in Feb 1980, and then met them afterwards and got their autographs. Knew they were going to be BIG. Their energy, the whole show, was phenomenal, stood right in front of them all night! 😍
Oh F! Hearing them do this is awesome. This is the song that hooked me on U2 when Boy first came out, and I heard it at a beach bonfire at night. The darker, haunting songs by U2 have always been what’s drawn me to them, although I also love their other styles too.
Sempre me vêm em mente esse pensamento. Quando eu ainda engatinhava eles já andavam o mundo fazendo shows. Imagino o que eles já viram da vida. Deve ser um sentimento estranho olhar pra trás e relembrar tudo desde o início. Sensacional!!!
" Say Good night." My adopted mum always Told me and my sister Kim to say this. " Into the heart of a Child , l can go there." ( I really can go there, ) St Michael the Dove.
At a show in NJ Giants Stadium and they did these two songs. The 2 young girls standing in front were perplexed. One said to the other. " I dont know .. maybe theyre new songs" 😂
Part of the brilliant "Boy" trio on the Vertigo tour, was preceded by The Electric Co. You just know the kid has an Irish or Scottish dad by wearing that Celtic shirt.
A modern reminder of just how awesome the Boy album was.
Yes, and it still is..
The best!!
Absolutely.
Ah a real U2 fan
Pretty ridiculous that they were writing these songs when they were 18 and 19 years old.
that moment when the crowd helps the CHILD up to the stage.... that's what life is all about isn't it .❤❤
Give it a rest u vomit inducing simp .

Ladies and gentlemen this is how you play a Stratocaster.
❤🎸
Me too!
That kid will never forget that moment ❤😢
This is one of their coolest songs. So ahead of its time. Hope to hear it live again some day.
Boy is a superb album. This song was 25 years old (ish) at this recording. Outstanding band.
That bass line!
Its killing me
The Edge monster 🔥🎸
MASTERPICE U2 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷❤️🇺🇸✌️✌️🤘🤘

He's actually inside that song. Always brings me to tears it's so true.
Some of the best songs they ever wrote.
Happy 40th Anniversary of "Boy"
Into the heart “ one of very best songs of their entire song history
Boy is still my favorite U2 album. Probably always will be.
Perhaps we could take a moment to acknowledge the undeniable fact that Edge’s backing vocals have long been by far the most underrated and underappreciated aspect of this band. That is all. Carry on…
Couldn't agree more!
Yes,definitely..
100%
Don’t speak, don’t listen to the words, don’t comprehend

there is nothing left to hear..absolutely beautiful
Adam at 5:51 reminiscing about the old days. His body was on that stage, but his mind was somewhere else. You can see it.
Not fake..he was all about that
4:51...
I was right there with him. That riff took me back to early high school ...
simply the best moment
Their greatest song in my opinion

First album...Absolute classics...Straight into Out of controll on the album

I don't think Adam gets enough credit for his influence upon generations of bass players!
Bass hero

Tenía influencia Post punk......

20 years since this beautiful live song came out and it's still amazing.

Wow - amazing!!! very Jelly...
I prefer these smaller intimate shows to there 360 type concerts
Probably one of the best US bass lines in any of their songs I think
Was there hard believe it almost been 20 years, wow life sure flies by
Sempre me vêm em mente esse pensamento. Quando eu ainda engatinhava eles já andavam o mundo fazendo shows. Imagino o que eles já viram da vida. Deve ser um sentimento estranho olhar pra trás e relembrar tudo desde o início.

Possibly one of my favorite U2 songs.
I really hope they put out a new album but it sounds like they are not producing any new material
Bono, show man👍😎✌
Adam Clayton is the basssssssss
pretty obvious which person is the boy's mother... that's the most beautiful smile I've ever seen ❤❤🎉
Tudo nessa música é perfeito ❤
Yes, indeed!
The best
Kinda song and show you want to go on forever!!!
And as it ends you can hear the chords to the next song (on the album) in your head even before they ring out.
Bono can be a prat off stage, but he RULES here. Love the miming of petting the kitty and birds flying. He’s into it.
I agree with you about everything you said.
" Say Good night." My adopted mum always Told me and my sister Kim to say this.
" Into the heart of a Child , l can go there."
( I really can go there, )
St Michael the Dove.
Beautiful .... not a description I woulda about a U2 track , but it is #InToAHeart
The song is into the heart
It always makes me cry ....one of the few songs that does.
I loved this Song when i was sixteen and still listening now at 51y....She becomes to me🌈
essa aqui é pesadíssima!!!
Incredible! Fantastic
The mean of a Band!!!! This is U2 ..........
Love it ❤️
Amazing
Thank you!
That kid at the end doesn’t realize how lucky he is.
I’m 14 I wish I was that kid been wishing that since I watched this show when my dad showed it to me when I was 3
@@mysticedge4 this song was written for you
Amo esté ritmo!!!!!
When I am free of the thing in my head . ❤️ .
I make the face the kid makes when ever I hear this song
the most beautiful album... for me, U2 stops here.
At a show in NJ Giants Stadium and they did these two songs. The 2 young girls standing in front were perplexed. One said to the other. " I dont know .. maybe theyre new songs" 😂
Bono thought it was ‘Bring your pillow to work’ Day.
First 2 albums were the best

Amazing performance. Why they don't play it more often? 😢
Show
5:50 mark, Adam is having a blast!!!
Part of the brilliant "Boy" trio on the Vertigo tour, was preceded by The Electric Co. You just know the kid has an Irish or Scottish dad by wearing that Celtic shirt.

End of this im waiting for Adams base line on out of controll
Nice gesture when he takes the boy out of the audience.
Gareth must be in his 30ies by now... 😃
:-)
I have 😹
am i the only one who thinks the intro and guitar riff is so Alice In Chains
Or the other way around. And yes. Catrell is a big U2 fan
The politcal shit kills me man. Please stop that shit bono.
whaaaaah... sad clown face...
U2 has been political since they started.
Fuck you. U2 is The Greatest Rock Band all of time. Who is you
Am I buggin' you? Don't mean to bug ya. Ok, Edge play the blues!
I dislike the globalist Woke U2.
Bono. Just a poser at this time.
