- Did some little work on this bass and it’s slowly and slightly sounding and feeling better again. I have to get used to way softer plucking now though! As always I’m a bit sloppy, my hands are all blistery and cut-up from breaking in new flats on another bass I’m working on but I can’t stop playing. 😂
Recorded this little banger for my best friend, who became a mother for the second time last week and auntie is proud 🙌🏻♥️

Funky! 🔥
Great tone!! Like that bass too, think cos it's shiny green 🍏👌
Haha yeah that color is definitely bomb. I even matched it to my walls you see 😂😂💀
@@Resting_Bass_Face Yeah, totally bomb 💣 Is it a standard Fender Jazz? 70's maple neck is sweet 😄
@@taynehenry6924 Hahaha no but I'm very pleased about how it often gets mistaken for a Fender, it's a good look-a-like. It's a cheapie Chinese-made knock-off though, J&D 1975 Vintage jazz. 😄
About 1/7th of the price of the Fender it's modelled after 🤣
If Laura ever calls in sick, you can be her sub!
Thanks for the great compliment 🥰 I don't have a cool wig though.. 😂
This is great!
Maybe I asked before, but what are you using tone wise? Strings/amp etc. :)
Hahaha yes but that's okay, happy to lay it out. I didn't change anything, still the same dead D'Addario chrome flats and no amp is used, I record directly into an interface (Scarlet Focusrite Solo)! A little trick to further help achieve a deeper and somewhat muted tone is the sponge under the bridge. I roll off the tone knob on the bridge pickup and rely almost fully on the neck pickup. Plucking as close as possible to the neck also helps but you hardly see me do that, I clench on to the pickup as a thumb rest for life lol.
