One of the biggest tips I could add is to recognize that you need to craft the cards that are only available in the master pack. So for example while 2 engage is ideal for strikers, I would still prioritize crafting maxx c/ash etc because you could eventually farm the gems for anything non-master pack
Yeah might be worth crafting some anti meta cards though despite the packs. Game to competitive to make enough gems fast enough. Sacrifice to make more gems later

My only question for Konami is who is this game made for seriously, story mode hold your hand throughout the game but as soon you play online your getting slapped. If Konami is expecting new players to join I don’t see how they would find this game any fun.
I mean that's true for any game these days. For example, you can get slapped in call of duty, L.O.L, street fighter,.... Heck you can get slapped in Tetris lol
@@TedKaczynskiesMail Nah Konami can stop being stingy with those gems. Not paying a dime in a game that is free to play. Free to play means microtransactions are optional. Shouldn't have to spend my hard earned money just to get a few cards. Pay to win is for people that aren't willing to put effort into the game to get what they want.
Another thing to new players, always buy packs in sets of 10! Those are guaranteed SR's and of you don't get a UR, the next set of 10 is guaranteed a UR. Something you may not also know if you're new is that getting an SR or UR resets the timer for your secret pack (back to 24 hours)
Perfect start tutorial in Master Duel: - Buy the gold pass - Buy the three one-time purchase only bundles with the three UR's - Play the whole Solomode for quick free cards & gems - Craft 1x Ash Blossom and 2x Maxx C since they are the most op staple card in every high tier deck - Build a toptier deck to grind ranked - Try to stick mostly to secret packs, they hold the most worth for your gems! For me personally, I did all of this and after my first day of playing, I had climbed to Gold with a Sky Striker and a Gem Knight deck using my gems on their secret packs!
Even though its frontloaded I feel like the games economy isnt so bad so far as long as we get some kind of gems and stuff through events- I've currently built Traptrix, Zoodiac, Zoodiac Tri-Brigade and Pranks without spending a penny and I've got all the staples I need so its definitely better than many other games. Great guide tho!
I agree. Because you can craft, it makes it easier. People dont realize this game will have tournaments, events and 3 more ranks not released. Plus its still WAY CHEAPER than the physical game anyways. But complainers gonna complain. I wouldnt have been able to build the decks I built here physically without spending abour $500 plus
@@kevindragneel285 compare to actual cards this game is actually cheap, the only UR u would craft are staples, and some of you're extra decks unlike in DL where UR's are youre engine card, so you eould forcibly spend a lot of gems to build 1 deck, it will be either spend money to buy gems so u can create one deck or wait for a months grinding gems.
@@spacecoyote6101 That's not awful. you can have around 80% of needed card for any deck you want with 3000 gems so you'll be crafting deck at 1 deck per month which is extremely nice considering how many cards there is in this game. Given that everyone can actually make AT LEAST 1 extremely competitive meta deck, any other deck you make gonna be a hobby deck for fun
@@kyji1569 compared to other online trading games, this game is quite expensive. It’s fine, the game will just limit people to only using certain decks. You won’t see people investing in half the cards cuz they’re just not viable enough. Personally, I think an online trading card game pigeonholing players into only using a fraction of the cards is poor game design. If you’re a new player and you messed up on your gems, you’ll be severely hindered from making a “complete” deck compared to other players who spent their gems properly aka they weren’t new players, they understood what they wanted to buy and how to play the game. I don’t think gems should be so limited that new players are permanently(foreseeable future) hindered if they didn’t spend their gems wisely. I think their should be more room for error when it comes to gem spending for new accounts/players at the very least
Amazing thanks, liked and subbed. Now I’m at the “okay what deck should I choose, in fact what’s a deck, who am I where I am how me is, overwhelmed, scared”
pretty good basic advice let's be real here there are some cards that are just trash and should never be used like pot of desires and max c both or trash and have more negative impact than positive The only positive that they have is if they're used in two decks that are opposite max c being used against thunder dragons and pot of desires being used in thunder dragons or another deck that relies upon removing its own cards from play those are the only scenarios in which those two cards are good in every other scenario those two cards specifically are absolutely unequivocally trash. oh and build whatever deck you want to build if it's a crappy deck but you like it build it if it's a really really trashy deck that no one likes playing against and will hate you for it forever build it if you like it Don't let someone else tell you what kind of deck you should build if you enjoy it that's all that matters.
I'm a casual player that came from Duel Links. Some of my favorite decks are Noble Knights and Gaia the Magical Knight. I'm happy to know that I did almost all the correct things that this video (and many more) had to say as a tip.
I personally am more a duel links player also re downloaded master duel like maybe few days ago haven't had it sense it first came out and I deleted it quickly what keeps me coming back personally I've figured out how to make my duel links decks in master duel and it's fun AF so far all I got is my blue eyes deck and my dark magician deck made
Thanks for the video. It was helpful. I am stuck between Hero Sky Stiker Dragon Link And Synchron. I started 3 days ago and crafted 2Ash and 3Maxx C. Sky Striker looks fun and so does Dragon Link but am totally new to these arch types.
My biggest issue is figuring out what I want to play. I haven't paid attention to tcg in decade+ and only played Duel Links casually. I have decent hero core from 8 or so multis in their packs, but everyone says it's wasted investment for how expensive deck will end up being.
One of the best strat is to hold gem and mass open secret pack, which mean you like to build deck that only require 1 secret pack, or at most 2 to get all the core cards. Some competent deck that require 1-2 secret pack, which I or my friends had built: Shaddoll + invoked, open shaddoll get you the core pretty quickly, and invoke is also easy to get the core plus it is spamable into other deck later. Dino is cool, except like 3 scrap cards you should find everything in dino pack, but you may have some weird luck with UR and they have lots of essential cards in UR. My friend couldn't pull any fossil dig for the life of him. Eldlich cards are easy to get, the problem with Eldlich deck is to be top tier you need staple floodgate and solemn, which are expensive. But you can use good cheap R and N trap like TT to replace some stuff you don't have and get the other later. All 3 solemn cards are in 1 pack btw you could do that and solemn can be use in other deck too (probably the only god tier staple that has their own secret pack). Pendulum come with structure deck, so they are easier to build. My brother built one, even tho you need to open like 2 secret packs I think, and craft some stuff like Electrumite. Stuff like Cyber dragon, Sky Striker, Blue eyes.... I don't know personally but seem like the cards are all in 1 secret pack.
10:25 keep loosing until I'll be lucky enough to win, and than I'll be coping with this fact, like: "Look! I won one! Which means this deck is not that bad, right?! It just need right conditions for winning! And everyone around me just meta-sheeps with no creativity!" ...
Lmao I’ve never felt so called out with out being called out, the first decks I’ve made are raidraptors then blue eyes then speedroid then lmao rainbow dragon then sacred beast with rainbow neos engine and now dragonmaid. I’ve gotten to platinum 3 times now because I’ll de rank trying out these decks and still think there so much fun and now am just sticking with dragonmaid for a bit
Lol craft so many URs just to get whooped so then you get mad and dismantle that shit. Then you new deck is half built then grind some more to finish the new deck rank up a little only to get whooped again. Rinse and repeat
The only mistake I ever did was buying Stalwart force, but aside of that, I built Pendulum Magicians and Tri-Brigade/Zoodiac with some budget cuts and still got 2.6k gems which I'll probably use in the future for Endymion. P.S: Also more Stapples. I crafted the other 2 Ash Blossom, Harpie's Duster and Forbidden Chalice to start, I'll keep getting more straples while I get more decks (Starting with Endymion like I said) Also I think the economy is fair enough since you can easily craft another deck in one or two months, if you grind Ranked. Although the ecnonomy can A(and should) be better, you can still do well F2P if you spend your gems well and inform yourself
Thank God we have someone actually helping others out, I've been a player for years and I simply don't have the expense of 500 dollars on a digital card game. I want to have fun bruh, and at least this is very transparent with someone who may just be getting onto yugioh.
I loved the "monkey flip ooka booka" because that's literally me, I am not very good at dueling despite my love of it. I was surprised that this video only has 5k views, you sound so professional and organized. I wish you good channel growth! You deserve it.
I love normal summon aleister .. so i build invoked shaddol ( for climbing rank or competitive play) I love metaphys .. so i build the metaphys deck although it was a weak deck ( for fun play ) As long as i play master duel.. i am enjoy my deck and my gameplay
Damn quality content for starts out there, came from duel links and started master duel. Knew right away normal packs were trash. If your new first thing you should do is the solo campaign and build a compent/great meta deck. For example elementals, teletale nights ect
Thank u for emphasizing that u should build the deck's core first! I cannot disagree more with ppl recommending that new players should craft ash, Maxx c, droplet ect, first. What good are 9 hand traps if your deck doesn't function? Also, spending a ton of resources on these cards first, means u don't know how much resources it will take to complete your core, or if u even have enough resources to complete your core. Ugh, I just don't understand how and why ppl get techs first. Techs are only the supporting role for a deck. The deck alone will win games. Also, there are f2p techs that u can use as placeholders for your hand traps until u get them. Anyway, great guide. Just need to rant rq as it is rly frustrating to see ppl go down the wrong path, the obvious wrong path. 😐
Took about a month to get the ur cards I needed to take my passion deck to modern times. In the mean time i used the old school version to rack up the gems. Luckily for me my passion deck had such an upgrade. My second passion deck also has an upgrade to modern times. These two decks are Spellbooks and Dark Magician.
Shouldnt have taken that long, have you grinded out the battle pass and solos? They give you so much that you can use to pull packs with and then de craft the stuff u dont need for more urs
Great advice! I personally built my irl deck (Tenyi), and now patiently await the release of swordsouls to give it a real boost. It's not exactly meta (without the swordsouls) but it gets plenty of wins, and it's the deck I'm most familiar with using.
Can you share your deck list sir? Im planning to build tenyi for the first time, i dont have any experience on tenyi swordsouls, so i dont have any idea what card should i looking for. Thank you.

They are without a doubt the most powerful cards in the deck. Vanitys fiend is very funny, but not necessary. Hes just a harder to out barrier statue in most cases, but if you can stick it with a monk or berzerker plus Sahasrara, they won't even be able to target it. When swordsoul releases on master duel, my plan is to add 3x emergence, 3x mo ye, 1-3x Taia, 1-2x strategist, 2x blackout, 1x sacred summit, 1x the level 10 synchro and 2x the level 8 synchro. Anything not a tenyi card or a hand trap comes out for this, and the extra deck drops BEUD, 1 monk and 1 shaman to make room for the new synchros. VW Kyuubi Sheshen is also a decent option to try, as the Dim Fiss effect is strong, and a couple of the swordsoul spell traps can make your level 4s into level 5s to easily go into a 9. Also, for Master Duel specifically, harpies feather duster and twin twisters are highly recommended, the Eldlich matchup can be quite painful.
@@JackRabbit9181996 wow, thankyou very much for the list, i have all the tenyi card, but still missing some extra deck card and what do you think about denglong ? I try using some weird build with yangzing card, sometimes it can make a decent board but not really consistent. Also for master duel i want to use maxx c and duster + 2 twin twister / 2 cosmic cyclone, can i cut vanity fiends for the backrow removal and maybe cut imperm for maxx c?
@@jabermogwai5996 those cuts sound great to me, vanitys is more of a "annoy your opponent" sort of card, and imperm can be a dead card in some matchups. As for Denglong, the best I can say is to try it out. I have very little experiemce splashing yang zings outside of Yazi and Baxia. Sorry i couldn't be more help in that regard
Yeah, gotta relate with that past point. I started this game playing Sacred Beasts with your typical hand traps/staples, and while I had some enjoyable duels and made it all the way to Platinum V only using those for the longest time, it realistically wasn't going to win me every duel unless I maybe found the card-for-card perfect build to try and take on every meta deck, and even then the deck just needs a lot to get going, esspecially if it goes second. I decided to then get the cards needed for a meta deck, in my case Eldlich, and that deck's also honestly pretty fun to play and is already considered one of the best decks in the game. Hell, if I made that deck first, I probably would've had an easier time grinding out more gems to THEN build Sacred Beasts if I really wanted to.
Did you not try Sacred Beast Eldlich? The Sacred Beast monsters make Curious and Opening of the Spirit Gates recycles Cursed Eldland when Golden Lord is on-feild.
i think when talking staples you should make a concious decision if you wanna play mostly decks that like going first or decks that like going 2nd. if you like going first playing combo decks that build 5 negates turn 1 then you probably dont really need max c, you probably rather want ash blossom, called by the grave, gamma, imperial order stuff like that, but if you like going second and otk them with a bunch of damage, then you might rather wanna pick up veiler, max c, nibiru, forbidden droplet, impermanence, harpies feather duster, lightning storm, thats how i would pick up my staples, its pretty pointless running both together, you cannot win every game regardless, you get to chose in more than 50% of games if you wanna go first or 2nd so in my opinion its best to optimize your deck for your prefered playstyle since its a best of one format on the ladder.
good information you are right with melodious being doo doo. I spent all my gems on that deck and a harpy deck for no reason now I am stuck playing melodious since I spent all my gems.
Wish I had seen this day one. I wasted half of my gems and resources building a Blackwings deck that needed to be slightly tweaked here and there to make it to Plat 5. But I can't get any higher because after a few wins I run into Sky Strikers or Eldlich multiple times and end up back in Gold 1 :(. I chose Blackwings because it is the deck I knew best and has the most options of what to play in any situation. Now I want to play Gravekeepers to prevent all the graveyard shenanigans but can't afford any more cards unless I want to waste 3k gems. I also have other decks I want to build but they probably will never see the light of day because of how many URs and SRs are required just for the core. Konami knew what they were doing when they created this game... Just giving us enough resources to build 1 great deck and half of another one but needing to buy gems/packs to complete anymore. I already finished the Dueling Pass and most of the Solo mode so I am tapped out of freebies. Wish we could get gems for hrs played lol my time is really high up there.
Expensive is still an understatement my current deck I’ve got that I’m trying to build if I were to buy gems to get packs of UR and SR cards to then dismantle and build the cards I want would cost over 10,000 dollars… I might be doing this wrong but like still
"I built True Draco... these decks are ASS, but I love them" As someone who has ranked through many seasons with True Draco, I know the many facets of that statement, and your opinion is correct.
NO I'm not gonna play fucking striker or eldlich just because they're broken in the current meta! I will play my poo poo shaddoll dogma invoked deck till the last day of master duel and there's nothing you can do to stop me!
Can you recommend a good deck that would help me develop and learn the game? I’m entirely new to ygo, I have completed the first 4 solo quests. I would be open to spend a few dollars (50-100) as long as I end up with a viable deck I would have fun with. As of right now, things seem a bit daunting and I don’t know if going forward, I will be still playing the game if things doesn’t pan out for me.
I did exactly what you did and fucked myself and I am now coming back to fix my decks, and get staples. Years later lol. Problem is I def need help going through my deck list to find out what I can burn and what I potentially can keep for future decks. I know I am a random but if you ever want some free content and want to go through cards to fix some decks as a returning player I am game.
Is turmoil selection box now good for despia and sword soul? It ends soon and I'm a new player so just wondering if this has changed. Since sword soul isn't in secret packs 😭
I heard your last point there and was on board, until you said "Blue-Eyes Rock Burn" Pog Off! Let me play my Blue-Eyes Rock Burn Deck that got me to plat
Beautiful and clear advices Stevie. However, I will have to disagree with you on having multiple accounts. It benefits you a lot having multiple burner accounts for master duel. You said it yourself, this game is really expensive. Having multiple accounts help mitigate the cost of building competent deck and worth every time you put in grinding those accounts. Btw, keep up the good work and keep pumping out quality content. Still waiting on the next reversal quiz episode. (And I see you still haven't replaced galant granite in your Kragen Control deck. I recommend putting Ragna Zero)
Amazing guide But one question Don't you think staples are more important? In the long run Ash is always good so are maxx c and ect ect All I'm saying is that a half assed deck can get you threw early ranks when staples like ash and maxx can just end yiur opponents turn Atleast thats how i played and it worked out for me (f2p btw) Right now i got non combo otk lunalight core An optimised adaman deck And an optimised darklord deck(i just love them dont judge) And i think thats good enough for a f2p
My only problem is...define "bad deck". I play world chalice, is it a bad deck? Well i'm in plat and still winning games with it just by setting up Avramax, Appolloosa and World Legacy Sorrow. Every deck has potential if you build and pilot it right. sure some decks like Windwitch are objectively not going to compete against say, Drytron. But i feel just saying "don't play bad decks" is a little misleading since despite there only being like 4-5 decks you could call Meta, there's about 20-30 more that are more than playable.
Plat 1 right now is not even good, for me bad deck is about consistency, can it go full combo 90% with every hand, can it break board, does it have follow up ? Stuff like that
For the very reasons you explained why you should invest in a top tier deck that’s why I disagree with you when it comes to having multiple accounts. It’s really not as tedious as it seems. Within 30 minutes of starting a new account you already have about 8k gems ready to spend on the shit fun decks that you want to have fun with.. not everything is about being sweaty and having to get the same damn meta deck everyone is running. This way you aren’t giving Konami a cent and can literally have multiple account with some shit fun decks. This Also helps to try out a deck and see if you like it before investing with your main account. I’ve tried out so many decks already had a blast, and was happy I didn’t throw my gems away on my main account.
Also, a f2p advice about the decks and core cards: try to find an archetype where the main deck AND the extra deck are mostly from ONE secret box. Not multiple packs. And yeah, crafting is last resort and only for core cards/core staples from other packs you can't pour gems in Any advice on how to play Altergeist? I realized I have most of the core cards because I built an evil twin deck and it might be worth trying it
I've got a good dino and dragon deck! I would like to aim for a beast related deck next and actually got a few good ones already as starters there along with spell and trap cards but I would like to have some more of those types, does anyone know here which pack is best to get beasts from?
i disagree with the first point, literally every single UR staple in the game is found in only the master pack, and if you try to be free to play then you cannot really afford having staples and playing like 10 archtypes at once as well, therefore you only really need to go into the secret packs basically one time, for the one archtype that you plan to play, lets take tri brigade zoodiac for example, there are literally only 2 secret packs that you need to open and you only really need drident and omen from those, since SRs are better to just craft, and once you pulled those 2 specific URs you more than likely have all the other SRs from those 2 packs as well, probably multiple copies, so after you have everything you need you might as well go into the master pack and hope to pull your max cs or ashblossoms, i mean what even is your other option? plan your next 3 archtypes that you wanna play next in advance and try to pull URs for those? even if you pull what you want, it would only delay you playing your main deck at full power for longer and longer, since if you pull the URs you want, you probably dont wanna dismantle them and i personally wanna play the game as soon as possible, especially since you get gem rewards as well if you promote a lot. in my opinion if you only need 1UR and nothing else from a secret pack, then wasting your SR dust to make one SR that you dont even want, just to unlock the secret pack is just not very smart, just pull from the master pack instead and craft it, the endresult will probably be the same either you try to get the UR, waste 30 SR points and after spending like 5000 gems buying secret packs, crafting the UR anyway since you didnt get it, or you just save the 30SR points and pulling from the master pack, realizing that you probably have to craft it later on anyway and maybe get some staple that you want as well if you get lucky. i would only pull from secret packs if they have multiple cards you want, or if you didnt have to unlock it, so might as well.
It’s not fun... but I got 10k gems from 1 hour on a fresh account. I think that is at least worth it if you want to start over or try out a new deck first
Personally, I choose not to grind or purchase gems to complete decks. And I certainly don't log-in everyday to obtain what feels like, worthless 5 or 10 Gems. I just play the festivals; get those free +3,000 diamonds, and honestly I'm content with that. But I guess. If you want the cards now, you want the cards now I suppose. Whether you go broke trying to buy Gems or become a Rank Slave (is what I like to call it) to play a complete deck. But if there's another or better way to obtain those UR cards I would like to know. 😎🤙🏾
I think they should have a random card duel gives you 50 mosters 30 spells and 20 traps and u build a deck and it resets every 24 hours for old school yugioh feel also maybe add trade one card of the same rarity to one person everyday.
Imwo the "Secret Packs" unlocked by playing "Solo Mode" rn't worth even buying cuz what what would make them worth buying them is for the price of "1 Pack" b for "50 💎s" and of "10 Packs" b for "500 💎s" of which it'd very fair since you can as well unlock them either by Crafting a Card to get a "🔑 Card" or simply buying the "Master Pack" to also get a "🔑 Card".
I have most definitely dismantled cards I wasn't interested in atm or I thought I wasn't going to need, to later on realize that they were key parts to another deck o was going to want to play. The diminishing returns are beyond outrageous and kinda moronic for Konami to do.
Exactly, I ain't going to make this mistake again like I did in duel links. 2017 to 2022 Jan. Couldn't complete dark magician deck. When I got all cards except one. Game died, and master duel released. 😂
There has to be a balance my guy. You went to the most boring extreme possible. I'm playing Tri-brigade zoodiac, Tri-brigade Melffy and I've been having a blast. Tri-brigade Melffy is kinda hilarious
So I have extra cards of the some of the structure deck card But it still won’t let me dismantle the spare ones ? Umm but Why not As long as there are enough for the structure deck ? And I don’t need 5! five headed dragons …you don’t need more then 3 of anything anyway …
i made the same mistake and built a bunch of decks then learned how to play and realized i really had nothing, just made a new account, in 2 hours i built the perfect yubel deck free and almost complete fire king and havent played a ranked match yet lol, been lucky af tbh. bout to finsh off fire king snake eye, but you cant buy a secret pack for them and theyre all UR lmao, buying tearlaments packs for a third deck and dont want to, i just want UR points, dont know why i cant just use gems for UR points like 5x gems for 1 UR point or something
I totally regret dismantling some cards couple cards from archetypes I do want to build 1 day but I probably can't make them for awhile to many decks I want to make 1st I wish I knew some stuff before I start playing I totally wasted some gems on the shit packs but whatever I should catch back up in the future
Konami please let me dismantle free cards I promise you I won't miss Five-Headed Dragon
AMEN, please let me get rid of whatever the fuck is in those starter decks, so much potential UR and SR tokens
Funny thing is you cant even dismantle structure deck or solo mode reward cards if you have more than 3 copies

It's pretty awful. I completed all my dailys today and only earned 95 gems
I am stuck between Hero
Sky Stiker
Dragon Link
And Synchron.
Getting into Master Duel very late. I appreciate these videos
One of the best strat is to hold gem and mass open secret pack, which mean you like to build deck that only require 1 secret pack, or at most 2 to get all the core cards. Some competent deck that require 1-2 secret pack, which I or my friends had built:
Shaddoll + invoked, open shaddoll get you the core pretty quickly, and invoke is also easy to get the core plus it is spamable into other deck later.
And everyone around me just meta-sheeps with no creativity!"
...
Yes was me with salamangreat then i joined team Kashtira 😂
I crafted the other 2 Ash Blossom, Harpie's Duster and Forbidden Chalice to start, I'll keep getting more straples while I get more decks (Starting with Endymion like I said)
Also I think the economy is fair enough since you can easily craft another deck in one or two months, if you grind Ranked.
I love normal summon aleister .. so i build invoked shaddol ( for climbing rank or competitive play)
I love metaphys .. so i build the metaphys deck although it was a weak deck ( for fun play )
As long as i play master duel.. i am enjoy my deck and my gameplay
i got ultimaya tzolkin first try from the master pack i aint even lying
I crafted 2 cards then turned it back to dust accidentally. Yes, 2!!!
I'm currently using my spellbook deck to get the ur for dark magician. So far I'm 4-0 after my first few losses of learning this upgrade version.
Shouldnt have taken that long, have you grinded out the battle pass and solos? They give you so much that you can use to pull packs with and then de craft the stuff u dont need for more urs
@@ryank6160 haven't done all the solo stuff yet. A few of them but not all.
Thank you.

For the Master Duel version I use Maxx C as well, you can cut just about anything for it, but i wouldn't go lower than 14 tenyis for the pure version, and you absolutely cannot drop mare-mare or vessel for the dragon cycle.
I love secret packs that come with more than one archetype
10:45 hey now, dinosmasher’s fury was a great structure deck and can still win some games against the meta /s
Aaand yea this video just basically points out all the mistakes I did. Thanks.
good information you are right with melodious being doo doo. I spent all my gems on that deck and a harpy deck for no reason now I am stuck playing melodious since I spent all my gems.
I subbed bc you said "monkey flip ooga booga"
that's why I build metalfoes, it's very versatile deck that it can combine into other archetype and run many engines
I'm also a metalfoes enjoyer. Which other archetypes and/or engines are you currently using in metalfoes?
Stevie: “pls don’t go broke playing this game. I’m here for you.”
Just create another account takes no more than 2 hours to have any deck on the game maxed out with the gems you get given at first
Expensive is still an understatement my current deck I’ve got that I’m trying to build if I were to buy gems to get packs of UR and SR cards to then dismantle and build the cards I want would cost over 10,000 dollars… I might be doing this wrong but like still
"I built True Draco... these decks are ASS, but I love them"
As someone who has ranked through many seasons with True Draco, I know the many facets of that statement, and your opinion is correct.
Hey I really appreciate your commentary
Thanks
NO I'm not gonna play fucking striker or eldlich just because they're broken in the current meta! I will play my poo poo shaddoll dogma invoked deck till the last day of master duel and there's nothing you can do to stop me!
Normal summon Aleister for the rest of your life.
@@AllissonSchuch Yessir! That is what we do.
Whenever I see a new tier 0 deck, I just start a new account. That's how bad the gem famine has gotten
Amazing guide
But one question
Don't you think staples are more important?
In the long run
Ash is always good so are maxx c and ect ect
All I'm saying is that a half assed deck can get you threw early ranks when staples like ash and maxx can just end yiur opponents turn
Atleast thats how i played and it worked out for me (f2p btw)
Right now i got non combo otk lunalight core
An optimised adaman deck
And an optimised darklord deck(i just love them dont judge)
And i think thats good enough for a f2p
You propably should craft staples over time because most of them are master pack only.
Love this take!!! I'm dying over here!!! 😆 🤣
Gunkan suship is an investment I will never regret
Stuff like that
There is a difference between a non-meta deck you enjoy, say windwitch or trickstars, versus a bad deck, such as blue eyes clown burn
Great vid man!!
Also, a f2p advice about the decks and core cards: try to find an archetype where the main deck AND the extra deck are mostly from ONE secret box. Not multiple packs. And yeah, crafting is last resort and only for core cards/core staples from other packs you can't pour gems in
Any advice on how to play Altergeist? I realized I have most of the core cards because I built an evil twin deck and it might be worth trying it
I've got a good dino and dragon deck! I would like to aim for a beast related deck next and actually got a few good ones already as starters there along with spell and trap cards but I would like to have some more of those types, does anyone know here which pack is best to get beasts from?
I’ll beat any of ur 3rd rate decks with my nostalgic bois any day.
Him: Dont build bad Decks
Me who builds Sacred Beast 💀 (somehow got to Plat 5 with that Deck)
Me who somehow got to Gold 5 with the starter Synchro Deck 😅
10:00
me with my XYZ exodia deck 😳
i disagree with the first point, literally every single UR staple in the game is found in only the master pack, and if you try to be free to play then you cannot really afford having staples and playing like 10 archtypes at once as well, therefore you only really need to go into the secret packs basically one time, for the one archtype that you plan to play, lets take tri brigade zoodiac for example, there are literally only 2 secret packs that you need to open and you only really need drident and omen from those, since SRs are better to just craft, and once you pulled those 2 specific URs you more than likely have all the other SRs from those 2 packs as well, probably multiple copies, so after you have everything you need you might as well go into the master pack and hope to pull your max cs or ashblossoms, i mean what even is your other option? plan your next 3 archtypes that you wanna play next in advance and try to pull URs for those? even if you pull what you want, it would only delay you playing your main deck at full power for longer and longer, since if you pull the URs you want, you probably dont wanna dismantle them and i personally wanna play the game as soon as possible, especially since you get gem rewards as well if you promote a lot. in my opinion if you only need 1UR and nothing else from a secret pack, then wasting your SR dust to make one SR that you dont even want, just to unlock the secret pack is just not very smart, just pull from the master pack instead and craft it, the endresult will probably be the same either you try to get the UR, waste 30 SR points and after spending like 5000 gems buying secret packs, crafting the UR anyway since you didnt get it, or you just save the 30SR points and pulling from the master pack, realizing that you probably have to craft it later on anyway and maybe get some staple that you want as well if you get lucky. i would only pull from secret packs if they have multiple cards you want, or if you didnt have to unlock it, so might as well.
Subbed. Thanks bro
Oh man, I messed up on that: spending my cup on different decks.
awesome video, tx
Stevie: Spend your gems wisely...
us: but isnt that why you made the video?
Cheers Stevie.
Toon? Is that Worth it? Just started playing for the first time when Master duels came out
It’s not fun... but I got 10k gems from 1 hour on a fresh account.
Did the gane change? I cant find that method to cheaply craft cards
A guide to build Ojamas and all of their subcatagories would be awesome
Imwo the "Secret Packs" unlocked by playing "Solo Mode" rn't worth even buying cuz what what would make them worth buying them is for the price of "1 Pack" b for "50 💎s" and of "10 Packs" b for "500 💎s" of which it'd very fair since you can as well unlock them either by Crafting a Card to get a "🔑 Card" or simply buying the "Master Pack" to also get a "🔑 Card".
Black wing and vortex is the strongest structure deck that I have gone against
Stalwart force is decent there's only 80 cards in the pack
I have 3-4 fun decks and 2-3 rank decks all others are the structure decks given by the solo mode
Great video buddy.
Wish I knew this when I first started so I wouldn't have wasted so much time on a blue eyes rose dragon deck
I have most definitely dismantled cards I wasn't interested in atm or I thought I wasn't going to need, to later on realize that they were key parts to another deck o was going to want to play. The diminishing returns are beyond outrageous and kinda moronic for Konami to do.
i regret building dark magician deck.. do you think it will be good in the future?
Absolutely
@@petrabanjarnahor229 but the red eyes dark dragoon is banned
Exactly, I ain't going to make this mistake again like I did in duel links. 2017 to 2022 Jan. Couldn't complete dark magician deck. When I got all cards except one. Game died, and master duel released. 😂
if u complete all the solo modes and complete all the missions in the beginning u get around 15k gems
I finished my thunder dragon now I want tri-brigade zoodiac
I'm the boring guy that made zoo and eldlich. I wish I'd made Blue-Eyes Rock Burn. ☹️
Then you wouldn't win a single game.....
There has to be a balance my guy. You went to the most boring extreme possible. I'm playing Tri-brigade zoodiac, Tri-brigade Melffy and I've been having a blast. Tri-brigade Melffy is kinda hilarious
I went with those two because not only can they play separate, but you can play them together. Essentially making 3 decks for the cost of 2.
I was schizophrenic too, and now I'm sitting with "five kinda shitty decks" as well. I'm dumb
The gem system in this game is a scam!!
Only issue with your first point is, the cards I need can only be found in master packs :/
So I have extra cards of the some of the structure deck card
But it still won’t let me dismantle the spare ones ?
I spent all my gems and dust for Sky Striker and some Staples, did I F up?
Red eyes is a fun esay deck to play
Me building live twins which needs every hand trap at multiple copies
Just won a 20+ minute game against an exodia player using red eyes feeling great
i have several UR royal finishes but i dont wanna dust em because they r ur royal finishes...
You make good content man
I have 300 sr and ur dust gonna keep collecting more until I have enough to craft certain cards that can work for multiple decks. Wish me luck
I totally regret dismantling some cards couple cards from archetypes I do want to build 1 day but I probably can't make them for awhile to many decks I want to make 1st I wish I knew some stuff before I start playing I totally wasted some gems on the shit packs but whatever I should catch back up in the future
Oh wow,Stevie making original content HOW
