@@Excellsion Sure, but the point of the video wasn't budget staples, it was packs that let you get the proper staples more easily. So I felt it was worth acknowledging the pack that lets you get the turtle (and failing that, other Kaijus) *and* tsuchinoko (and failing that, other Danger!s).
I think the opposite of this video would be just as useful to new players: Top UR staples that don't exist in any pack other than Master Pack/Legacy Pack. Stuff like Maxx C, ZEUS, Apollousa, Saryuja Skull Dread and the entire Ghost family of handtraps for example. Things we knew we had to save up those CPs to craft and new players should know as well before commiting to something else.

Luckily it's pretty straightforward to click "how to obtain" on anything you're thinking about crafting to see whether it's master pack only and, while I'm sure newer players would love to know why that's important and such, I don't think people just starting on yugioh are likely to find duellogs before other online guides that tell you how unwise buying master packs is. I know I googled it week 1 and easily found good information on how to get cards and spend resources wisely.
In case people don't realize this: To get easy access to a secret pack, just make a SR card from the pack and get the key, before using your gems. and don't bother if you only have 1000 gems, you don't want the awkward moment, that you didn't get any URs then you have no gems for the guaranteed next 10 pull.
@@LegosRock223 you do need to invest another craft tho, so it would be better just to wait to have some gems before doing a summoning session, considering you won't even necessarily get a UR from the pack. If you get any UR you don't get the pity UR so if you got 0 UR's from the secret pack you kinda get omega shafted
Is the ten-pack pull really better than the single pack pull, though? Could it be that pulling singles nets you more packs with yellow or rainbow glow (and/or Utopia cut-in)?
I think that the pack "Soldiers of the Storm" should have some kind of honorific mention. It has Accescode, one of the most abused extra deck boss monster, and, even though they are not 100% generic, it has a good bunch of cyberse support, such as Cynet Mining, Lady Debug and Transcode, all of which see more or less play in Cyberse decks.
Shout out to Quariongandrax in the Crystron pack too, a generic level 9 that can banish 3 monsters on summon is nice to have, if not a little clunky since it needs two tuners
They aren't that terrible but it's true that harpies are generally better than them. Things that he didn't mention is that package has graydle too. They might be weaker than worms but if you combine them with Kaijus you'd get a hilarious deck that can beat even the nastiest boss monsters.

Utopia Double is also available in the structure deck being sold for 500 gems. I specifically bought the structure deck just to have the Utopia Double combo in my Sky Strikers deck lol
Okay, here's one of those super specific ones you like, (if there's even enough to fill a list.) Top 10 "Cards which change the effect of other cards." For example, World Legacy's Mind Meld: It changes an opponent's monster's activated effect to "return 1 face-up monster your opponent controls to the hand."
There are a lot of rather unique cards in Yu-gi-oh in general so it would be nice to see a video talk about some that deserve their own archetype support.

I was rolling for Rikka in their secret pack got two Urs, when i opened them the Urs were to the elft which usually means crap like rainbow dragon or steelswarm hercules, got Infinite impermanence and gagaga cowboy from those, Ended up having toc raft Strennas but went away very happily with my imeprm and cowboy
3:40 I got lucky that I got Super Polymerization when I was making a Hero and Six Samurai deck where apparently I just learned that I could use two of my opponent's monster as materials for a fusion cause it surprisingly met the requirement for First of Dragons against their Eldlich deck. I just thought it just my monster and the opponent but I can see now why is it powerful and limited.
I would love to see a list of decks/archetypes that are currently weak or incomplete that will become much stronger once master duel catches up to the actual card game
Very informative, I've been following your top 10 lists for years and with master duel it's gotten to a point where I'm now tuning ASAP just to aid me in my deck building, this vid was pretty good in letting the player know where they might get the most bang for their back and now that I know masquerena and omega are in the same pack I'll set my sights on that one next.
Knightmare pack also has Knightmare Corruptor Iblee, which is really good if your opponent doesn't have any links, as what it does is: normal summon reborn a link to point at it and negate its attack and effects, locks its controller to links only while it's out, and if it's linked off, reborn itself to the opponent's field.
I used to think this way, but now think the exact opposite. Rather than focusing on packs for one specific card, you should craft those cards and instead focus on packs with multiple URs you want to pull. The IP pack is a great example, you could never pull i:P, but if you pull Omega or Time Thief Redoer you still have gotten ahead. Whereas for droplet, you get a bunch of bad darklords, which when I tried to pull for droplet I got a ton of morningstar and superbia. I rather had crafted that card and pulled for something like Madolche or Cyber Dragon, where you only have a 1/4 chance of getting a non-playable secret pack UR
Yeah, plan a deck archetype that uses the less packs possible. Spend your gems there. Then craft anything else you need. Like for example, making a dragonmaid deck, you can focus on the Luster dragon pack and that's enough for 1 deck. so just craft the other staples you need.
The thing is i would rather craft a card that doesn’t exist in a pack like Ash / Maxxx C .. etc , rather than crafting cards are available in a secret pack . But i also agree with your point
Man I wish I had your luck when pulling and gotten Superbias, lol. But yeah for those who don’t want the actual majority of the archetypal stuff, it’s far better to just craft.
Also with Shot Through Fiction, you have Borreload Furious Dragon, which you can keep in your deck to deal with mirror match decks or other decks playing dark dragon monsters if you have Super Poly. Considering you could always go into Furious with your own cards if you are desperate to bounce a problem card you opponent has, I think it is worth 1 extra deck slot if you are playing a Borreload deck.
I crafted one Forbidden Droplet early on, then I obtained another while building a Darklord deck. Then just a few days after I built Darklords, the Droplet bundle pack came out. So I basically got the trifecta with that one
I don't really care about Duel Links but I still enjoy the trivia and I think a "Top 10 Card of the Soul targets in DL" would be interesting, given there are way more monsters around 4k stats than 8k and you have skills to manipulate your starting life total.
As f2p player I already made like 5 decks that are functional and luckily one card can be used for multiple decks (like solemn judgment) the thing is that I'm not really an expert at the game and I feel like my decks can have a little bit more consistency or better combos maybe a cool series is rating and recommending cards for viewers decks that honestly could be really helpful especially for people who want to build another deck of the same archetype
Top ten decks for returnees/newbies in Master Duel Since there are many new players and old time players coming to the game, a Top ten of simple yet efficient decks could be great. You can mention stuff like Masked Hero, Sky Striker, Cyberse, etc. And you can pretty much ranked the decks based on the number of Staple cards they need to fully work: #10 Easiest to make - #1 Hardest to make.
Okay so I don't know if this is a good list idea, but a suggestion I have as a tenyi player, is strongest non effect extra deck monsters of each attribute, I remember watching your top 10 non effect extra deck monster video, and notices that most of the list comprised of earth monsters, and the only wind monster is kaminary attack. I suggest this idea cause i've gotten locked down by the water barrier statue and the wind barrier statue while I had fist of the unrivaled tenyi that they destroyed but because I had no valid targets in my extra deck it fizzled out, so I'm thinking a list like that while niche might help some players like me.
I'd like a Top 10 cards featured in the cover of products, it can apply for the TCG, Master Duel or even Duel Links. It's pretty different, and may bring up attention to some cool forgotten cards like Honest (Cover of Light of Destruction), even if it is just giving them a shout out for aesthetics.
Why is card unlimited in Master Duel? Likely because they have Maxx “C”, the ultimate floodgate (or risk your opponent going off harder than you). Either that, or it’s the Wind-Up Hunter, which has its ban status swapped with Carrier in the OCG.
I get much more use out of Nibiru in platinum than pretty much all of these other cards. It's inconsistent in master duel because you have no idea what combos your opponent might do, but I think it straight up wins me 1 in 4 games I play Also, thank you for this. It is so hard to find info on what packs are good or worth spending gems on as a f2p
I don't agree with that because that might make people swipe away from their favorite decks just because it is in a bad pack or it is a bad deck, i think that staples is a video is way better because these cards can make almost any deck at least a rogue option
Update: (As of posting), Halqifibrax has been banned and is out of the secret pack it’s in currently. Not sure if the pack is quite up there nowadays, but it does still have some good cards like Drident, Electrumite, and Metalfoes Fusion. During the Anniversary event right now, in the Guardians of the Sacred Sky pack, you can also pull Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess (who can get up to 4 monster negates depending on the link materials used) on top of trying to get the Solemn Cards. Edit: Apollousa is permanently available in the Guardians of Sacred Sky pack! She’s a great pickup for any combo decks that can make her. This video has still helped me plan out what kind of valuable staple cards I can get out of these secret packs to build my decks.
I remember crafting a masquerena and getting a gamma in the free pack, crafting a feather duster just to find it in the free pack, which happened again recently with berserker of the tenyi
I play Mekk-knight and the secret pack just give me all of unicorn and phoenix. I found it was kind of hard to go on Unicorn (as I usually climb into it on top of phoenix so I have to discard 2 cards). I ended up playing phoenix heavily as backrow removal and only summon unicorn in a rare occasion. After that, I got lucky with the pull and got I:P, then I was able to experience myself the power of the unicorn + Lib to send 2 cards back to the deck on the opponent turn. It was insanely good even with I:P and any monster as I:P her self is a link 2 so it is super easy to climb up Unicorn
Thanks for the video! Top 10 budget friendly decks would be a good one in the future. Decks that are competitive, but a cheap version of them is easily built, and it is clear, how to upgrade them. also a generic idea of how to use them going first/second would be nice.

also a technique here is, if u want a ur card on a secret pack, Don't craft the ur, instead craft the sr first and hope u got lucky on the free pull, sometimes they gave UR from free pulls

Yeah, although the pack has many rarities and a lot of the R or lower cards in the secret packs aren't much of a big deal because... well you can craft them easily.
4:20 I hate that you didn't mention Underworld Goddess of the closed world as a target to summon with Maskerena's effect. You tribute one monster your opponent control before summoning (it's not a summon condition, just a non targeting removal via tribute) and it has a mass monster negate on summon, immune to anything that doesn't directly target it so to a bunch of power cards as lightning storm, divine arsenal zeus and so on, also on top of that once per turn negation of a special summon from the grave
I opened 20 packs of those who stand against Kings for Halqifibrax, didn't get it after pulling every other secret in the pack. Then crafted Royal Rare version after running out of gems.
Surprised this didn't have the Kaijus because that secret pack is just filled with Kaijus and Dangers which can easy be staples and put into decks. Like it's the 2 archetypes that work super well at been genic support within your deck.
I think I actually pulled all the cards mentioned in the Needlefiber (I'm still going to call it that) segment and Borrelsword, but I'm pretty sure I don't have shit to use them with. Even if I did, I don't know the first thing about building a halfway usable deck. I do legitimately want to try and get into playing the game through Master Duel.
I'd say harpies are more than just slightly better than worms. they have access to tri brigade tech, Simorgh tech and a pretty good pet phantasmal play into a 4 overlay Zeus. and can make access code and appollousa as well. Worms are mired by having to be flipped and not having to great of effects nowadays to even bother and haven't received support outside of that fusion card that has not very impressive effects. Cyber slash however is a very interesting card that's teched in decks that can make it.
@@nunyabiznes33 I have friends that use them, and as I said before, they have access to the tri brigade engine and the simorgh link, so they can never be bad with how the game is played in MD. going first they can lock up special summons with a simorgh into barrier statue play and protect the board from card effects, forcing the opponent to try and run it over. they can make use of the wind kaiju to get over bosses and bouce it back to their hand to do it again if need be and also have chidori and zerofyne. so I'd definitely say they're pretty okay. Not meta even with tri brigade mixed in but definitely competitive. Meta would be lyrulesc+tribrigade (bird up)

If your fan a dinosour deck and want to find all good dinosour deck support card. Choose Prehistoric Beast Advance. That pack have all dinosour support card the most including ultimate conductor Tyranno.
Accesscode is better than both Borrelsword and Nightmare Unicorn. Accesscode is pretty much the boss monster of many archetype and pretty much made Borrelsword obselete. If your deck can Link summon, you'll likely want to play Accesscode, even if your deck can't climb to Link 4 that easily.
I’ve gotten super lucky getting random staples out of packs they’re not featured in. The very first pack I opened had a Super Poly in it and I’ve gotten three Needlefibers without ever buying the secret pack he came out of. I got four URs out a single pack once. But then I’ve also opened 20 or 30 packs of the Thunder Dragon pack and literally pulled nothing but Watt stuff in addition to other random SRs and URs not featured in the pack.
That's why you only use SRs to unlock the pack and if you get everything else from the pack except the 1 or 2 cards you still need, then you can use your saved Craft points

Please do Top 10 cards with the wording "you can use the effect of this card once per turn" meaning you can use the effect again if you have another copy of it that turn !
I got my 2nd copy of ash from either a heroes secret pack or PK i cant remember. I was surprised. I thought I was gonna get a 2nd copy of dark law but I got a 2nd copy of ash instead.
Great video, but I have one question. All I hear about using your gems wisely is to not buy secret packs if you only need 1 card out of it. Everyone says to just craft the one card and not waste your gems. Now I have done this a few times for special stuff like the new fancy art for Knightmare Unicorn, but thats a bit different. Is it worth it spending several thousands gems to try and get one card, and possibly still not get it? I suppose at worst you get a bunch of crafting materials....but man, the gems this game gives you REALLY dries up after the initial tsunami of gems is over.
While not a competitive staple, isn't King of the Feral Imps from Invaders from Outer Space at least a playable card in certain decks? Or is it too slow in today's meta?
Gamma is a brick not a garnet. You can still use gamma if you draw the driver too it's just suboptimal (unlike brilliant fusion which was dead if you drew the garnet).
I have no idea why you have to "find" packs of cards. Even more confusing is that they go away after a while. It's a bit too luck based for my liking, but some of these cards seem worth the hassle.
You can craft an sr/ur out of any pack and it opens that pack for you, and the 24 hour countdown resets every time you pull another sr/ur of that pack. But it's probably to simulate real world card pulling
Also shout-out to the fact that you can get Gameciel, the Sea Turtle Kaiju, in a combo Kaiju/Danger! pack

Evevery card exist in any pack, because half of any secret pack are random cards.

Trishula is way better. With the help of halq I think you can make pretty much whatever you want, so why don’t you use the better one
You can banish up to the number of synchro materials you used. This can mean that you banish more than just 3.

Dark World has a trap that changes the effect of an opponent's card to 'your opponent discards 1 card'.
I forgot the name but artifact xyz monster has an effect that let your opponent destroy your spell/trap

I don't tend to pull secret pack for stables, usually i just keep pulling the main secret pack for my deck and scrap the cards to craft stables

Yeah, plan a deck archetype that uses the less packs possible. Spend your gems there. Then craft anything else you need.
Like for example, making a dragonmaid deck, you can focus on the Luster dragon pack and that's enough for 1 deck. so just craft the other staples you need.
The thing is i would rather craft a card that doesn’t exist in a pack like Ash / Maxxx C .. etc , rather than crafting cards are available in a secret pack . But i also agree with your point

Seeing you mention Super Polymerization make me want to see a "Top 10 Removal Cards" video, maybe even for Master Duel.
Also with Shot Through Fiction, you have Borreload Furious Dragon, which you can keep in your deck to deal with mirror match decks or other decks playing dark dragon monsters if you have Super Poly. Considering you could always go into Furious with your own cards if you are desperate to bounce a problem card you opponent has, I think it is worth 1 extra deck slot if you are playing a Borreload deck.
I crafted one Forbidden Droplet early on, then I obtained another while building a Darklord deck. Then just a few days after I built Darklords, the Droplet bundle pack came out. So I basically got the trifecta with that one
I don't really care about Duel Links but I still enjoy the trivia and I think a "Top 10 Card of the Soul targets in DL" would be interesting, given there are way more monsters around 4k stats than 8k and you have skills to manipulate your starting life total.

As f2p player I already made like 5 decks that are functional and luckily one card can be used for multiple decks (like solemn judgment) the thing is that I'm not really an expert at the game and I feel like my decks can have a little bit more consistency or better combos maybe a cool series is rating and recommending cards for viewers decks that honestly could be really helpful especially for people who want to build another deck of the same archetype
Top ten decks for returnees/newbies in Master Duel
Since there are many new players and old time players coming to the game, a Top ten of simple yet efficient decks could be great.
You can mention stuff like Masked Hero, Sky Striker, Cyberse, etc. And you can pretty much ranked the decks based on the number of Staple cards they need to fully work: #10 Easiest to make - #1 Hardest to make.
As long as Dark Magician, Blue Eyes and other nostalgia bait decks don't get on the list

Okay so I don't know if this is a good list idea, but a suggestion I have as a tenyi player, is strongest non effect extra deck monsters of each attribute, I remember watching your top 10 non effect extra deck monster video, and notices that most of the list comprised of earth monsters, and the only wind monster is kaminary attack. I suggest this idea cause i've gotten locked down by the water barrier statue and the wind barrier statue while I had fist of the unrivaled tenyi that they destroyed but because I had no valid targets in my extra deck it fizzled out, so I'm thinking a list like that while niche might help some players like me.

I'd like a Top 10 cards featured in the cover of products, it can apply for the TCG, Master Duel or even Duel Links. It's pretty different, and may bring up attention to some cool forgotten cards like Honest (Cover of Light of Destruction), even if it is just giving them a shout out for aesthetics.

Why is card unlimited in Master Duel? Likely because they have Maxx “C”, the ultimate floodgate (or risk your opponent going off harder than you).
Either that, or it’s the Wind-Up Hunter, which has its ban status swapped with Carrier in the OCG.

I get much more use out of Nibiru in platinum than pretty much all of these other cards. It's inconsistent in master duel because you have no idea what combos your opponent might do, but I think it straight up wins me 1 in 4 games I play
Also, thank you for this. It is so hard to find info on what packs are good or worth spending gems on as a f2p
Crystron Halqifibrax can help a little in my stardust synchro deck, but using two copies of speeder gets the job done too.

I don't agree with that because that might make people swipe away from their favorite decks just because it is in a bad pack or it is a bad deck, i think that staples is a video is way better because these cards can make almost any deck at least a rogue option
You forgot the actual #1 spot, ojama yellow. Never before has there been such a staple card as ojama yellow, definitely top of its class

Update: (As of posting), Halqifibrax has been banned and is out of the secret pack it’s in currently. Not sure if the pack is quite up there nowadays, but it does still have some good cards like Drident, Electrumite, and Metalfoes Fusion.
During the Anniversary event right now, in the Guardians of the Sacred Sky pack, you can also pull Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess (who can get up to 4 monster negates depending on the link materials used) on top of trying to get the Solemn Cards.
Edit: Apollousa is permanently available in the Guardians of Sacred Sky pack! She’s a great pickup for any combo decks that can make her.
This video has still helped me plan out what kind of valuable staple cards I can get out of these secret packs to build my decks.

Nr.1 is the suicide bomber deck.
I play Mekk-knight and the secret pack just give me all of unicorn and phoenix. I found it was kind of hard to go on Unicorn (as I usually climb into it on top of phoenix so I have to discard 2 cards). I ended up playing phoenix heavily as backrow removal and only summon unicorn in a rare occasion. After that, I got lucky with the pull and got I:P, then I was able to experience myself the power of the unicorn + Lib to send 2 cards back to the deck on the opponent turn. It was insanely good even with I:P and any monster as I:P her self is a link 2 so it is super easy to climb up Unicorn

Thanks for the video! Top 10 budget friendly decks would be a good one in the future. Decks that are competitive, but a cheap version of them is easily built, and it is clear, how to upgrade them. also a generic idea of how to use them going first/second would be nice.
Eldlich, Dragonmaids, Prank Kids, any deck that doesn't require the extra deck and likes using Pot of Extravagance/Prosperity, just to name a few.

also a technique here is, if u want a ur card on a secret pack, Don't craft the ur, instead craft the sr first and hope u got lucky on the free pull, sometimes they gave UR from free pulls

how about a video about top 10 decks that could be made using only 1 secret pack, kinda like how eldlich, pure dinos and sky strikers decks could be made viably with just their specific card pack and after that your can add on other stuff from other packs but are not mandatory.

Yeah, although the pack has many rarities and a lot of the R or lower cards in the secret packs aren't much of a big deal because... well you can craft them easily.
4:20 I hate that you didn't mention Underworld Goddess of the closed world as a target to summon with Maskerena's effect. You tribute one monster your opponent control before summoning (it's not a summon condition, just a non targeting removal via tribute) and it has a mass monster negate on summon, immune to anything that doesn't directly target it so to a bunch of power cards as lightning storm, divine arsenal zeus and so on, also on top of that once per turn negation of a special summon from the grave
I opened 20 packs of those who stand against Kings for Halqifibrax, didn't get it after pulling every other secret in the pack. Then crafted Royal Rare version after running out of gems.
I bought 50 packs pulling for Drident and got Halq along the way. I don't have any use for it though coz I don't have a synchro-focused deck.

Surprised this didn't have the Kaijus because that secret pack is just filled with Kaijus and Dangers which can easy be staples and put into decks. Like it's the 2 archetypes that work super well at been genic support within your deck.

I think I actually pulled all the cards mentioned in the Needlefiber (I'm still going to call it that) segment and Borrelsword, but I'm pretty sure I don't have shit to use them with. Even if I did, I don't know the first thing about building a halfway usable deck. I do legitimately want to try and get into playing the game through Master Duel.
I'd say harpies are more than just slightly better than worms.
they have access to tri brigade tech, Simorgh tech and a pretty good pet phantasmal play into a 4 overlay Zeus. and can make access code and appollousa as well. Worms are mired by having to be flipped and not having to great of effects nowadays to even bother and haven't received support outside of that fusion card that has not very impressive effects.
Cyber slash however is a very interesting card that's teched in decks that can make it.
I've played Harpies in DL, are they any good in MD?
@@nunyabiznes33 I have friends that use them, and as I said before, they have access to the tri brigade engine and the simorgh link, so they can never be bad with how the game is played in MD.
going first they can lock up special summons with a simorgh into barrier statue play and protect the board from card effects, forcing the opponent to try and run it over.
they can make use of the wind kaiju to get over bosses and bouce it back to their hand to do it again if need be and also have chidori and zerofyne. so I'd definitely say they're pretty okay. Not meta even with tri brigade mixed in but definitely competitive. Meta would be lyrulesc+tribrigade (bird up)

The ideal way is, making a deck that can be made with the least secret packs. Then craft the staples later after the core of your deck is done.

Accesscode is better than both Borrelsword and Nightmare Unicorn. Accesscode is pretty much the boss monster of many archetype and pretty much made Borrelsword obselete. If your deck can Link summon, you'll likely want to play Accesscode, even if your deck can't climb to Link 4 that easily.
I’ve gotten super lucky getting random staples out of packs they’re not featured in. The very first pack I opened had a Super Poly in it and I’ve gotten three Needlefibers without ever buying the secret pack he came out of. I got four URs out a single pack once. But then I’ve also opened 20 or 30 packs of the Thunder Dragon pack and literally pulled nothing but Watt stuff in addition to other random SRs and URs not featured in the pack.
When I crafted my Maskarena, I got a free pull from the pack, and in it was... a Maskarena. Feels kinda bad.
That's why you only use SRs to unlock the pack and if you get everything else from the pack except the 1 or 2 cards you still need, then you can use your saved Craft points

Please do Top 10 cards with the wording "you can use the effect of this card once per turn" meaning you can use the effect again if you have another copy of it that turn !

I got my 2nd copy of ash from either a heroes secret pack or PK i cant remember. I was surprised. I thought I was gonna get a 2nd copy of dark law but I got a 2nd copy of ash instead.

Great video, but I have one question. All I hear about using your gems wisely is to not buy secret packs if you only need 1 card out of it. Everyone says to just craft the one card and not waste your gems. Now I have done this a few times for special stuff like the new fancy art for Knightmare Unicorn, but thats a bit different. Is it worth it spending several thousands gems to try and get one card, and possibly still not get it? I suppose at worst you get a bunch of crafting materials....but man, the gems this game gives you REALLY dries up after the initial tsunami of gems is over.
Mask Change II is kind of a staple card in DARK decks to get Dark Law on the field and useful in WATER decks to get Acid.

Gamma is a brick not a garnet. You can still use gamma if you draw the driver too it's just suboptimal (unlike brilliant fusion which was dead if you drew the garnet).

I have no idea why you have to "find" packs of cards. Even more confusing is that they go away after a while. It's a bit too luck based for my liking, but some of these cards seem worth the hassle.
You can craft an sr/ur out of any pack and it opens that pack for you, and the 24 hour countdown resets every time you pull another sr/ur of that pack. But it's probably to simulate real world card pulling
