Yo right there with you!! Yu-Gi-Oh! Is still fun but I prefer the late 90’s way of the way of playing all this extra stuff is bull crap. People literally never end their turns. It’s like they can set and activate unlimited magic cards and trap cards. Summon unlimited monsters, and then all the other summon crap. In my opinion it’s made the game less fun but more challenging but more challenging in a bad way. Too many rules to make it fun for a casual or return player
Blue eyes is still relatively competitive. I’d much rather them add to existing archetypes then to keep coming out with more special summoning features
The game is completely broken with the five minute turns of people summoning endless cards. I usually just quit out when I see people bringing out five cards at once and drawing their entire deck at will. Yu-Gi-Oh! used to be a great card game.
I say it does matter, because by the time you unlock the other ones, those cards are dated and weak. Getting the synchro one for MST early on is the best option imo.
Thanks for this tutorial. I started at around 2003-isj and quit 2007 or so and seeing all these huge changes, new systems and new cards is damn overwhelming.
Yeah same with yugioh duel links i played for a couple of years until they released cards of when i stoped playing and i quit as well ...gets too compliy too much reading long explanations in cards
World Chalice and World Legacy having such a big presence in the Solo mode (especially having World Chalice cards in your STARTER deck) brings me so much joy.
Last time a really played a Yugioh anything was on my GBA. I remember being able to input a code on the real life cards in the game in order to get one. I also remember the realization that the show and the way we played in Elementary was deadass wrong lol. Good video!
Saaaame lmao. But playing card games with your own rules is a great way to get people engaged! I suckered my Fiancée's cousin into playing Magic the Gathering by custom rule games with fun decks
Great tutorials, definitely earned a sub. Returning OG player, got out around 2011ish before swapping to mtg. Getting back into this has been kinda overwhelming with the new mechanics and the insane level of power creep compared to a decade ago, but nevertheless I was able to build virtual world F2P thanks to this. It's definitely a crazy deck - tough to pilot, I'm still trying to wrap my head around it's intricacies and combos but I'm learning and it is showing results. Also built some common staples for future decks, and have Cyber Dragons and Drytron in the works. So far so good :)
Man, power creep was what pushed me out of the game years ago. It sucks seeing the cards you loved getting put on the back burner for the next new waifu deck. But nowadays it seems they are adding tons of support to older arch-types in order to make them viable in competitive play. Great move by them, hope they keep going in this direction.
You’ll figure it out mate. I did the same. I quit playing when all the hero’s and cushion was the hot thing. Started back up and was doing troll decks and after awhile I got back into the meta. It’s still fun but it’s def not the same.
I think the thing is to play your way. I played as a kid and picked this up for nostalgia and I'm loving it. I've gone with a blue eyes deck despite the flack around it. I hopped off the yugioh train way before pendulums, synchros, basically just as fusion was a thing (from what I remember), so a dumbed down deck that chases the childhood nostalgia works for me. I've made it to Gold 2, and am looking for other deck archtypes to try, or modify the blue eyes archtype to incorporate some different wrinkles to the deck
Hey you should add Queen Dragun Djinn to your deck even though you play old school it is easy to slip in cause it is in your side deck plus requires no polymerization or ritual card etc you need nothing but to play normal with your dragon deck. It is a XYZ summon and they are simple she basically can be summoned when you have two level 4 monsters on the field so if the situation favors you go ahead and summon her.Her ability is discard one material used to summon her (your 2 level 4s are under the card and are material) and you basically get a free monster reborn from your grave on ANY!!!! dragon level 5 or higher. So you turned your two weak 4 stars into a 2200 dragon + a BEWD or whatever is in your graveyard A must add and easy summon for old school players it compliments BEWD decks goes great with all the summon power from grave like for normal/vanillas nowadays think of her as another call of the haunted THAT YOU CAN USE TWICE!!!! once per turn though 😁
Definitely do the daily missions above practically everything else as they refresh every day after you complete them after the day's rollover, but will carry over if you've only done part of it. You can also mix up some decks to focus on different types of cards to get the usage requirements for missions, but don't count on getting really high ranking, or fast duels from it (unless you're using a self-burn deck). I also think that the structure decks that you can buy, at the very least, have good value for the cards included as there are at least 3 Ultra Rare cards in each one - Re-Contract currently has 4 - and they contain 45 cards for just 500 gems a deck - packs costing that same amount would have only 40 cards and maybe an Ultra Rare or 2 (the odds are at least 2.5% for each card, for about 1 per 40 cards). You can also buy 3 each for a lot of duplicates to disassemble (some can't, though), and some decent cards to mix and match as you please for more emphasis on certain synergies until you can build your own deck from packs. Personally, I edited the Cipher deck so that I could more easily summon the XYZ Galaxy Eyes dragons and it did a decent job in both the (previous event) XYZ exhibition and even Ranked a little bit (I'm only in Bronze atm). Also, some of the special card packs will be the only ones with access to certain cards, and some of them are good for practically any deck. In particular, Harpie's Feather Duster is a part of the, well, Harpie's archetype themed secret pack called "Glory on Wings", although it might be a rarer Ultra Rare than the other cards in the secret pack and the archetype is generally weaker than others.
7:21 good idea mentioning to craft a super rare first. Ultras are much harder to craft/get. I also recommend using your deck in solo first to get a feel of how it plays without getting negated, as well as take your time reading your opponent's cards (which you don't have that much online to idle, though 8 mins for a duel is fine). I can't believe 2:33 lol bronze had duelists that bad as I got owned until I quit in silver given fusion destiny go brr is boring to get 5 effects in 1 card with aqua dolphin/neo space connector to bait ash. Dinowrestler Pankratops kinda fits in any deck as well; RIP mystical space typhoon lol.
Amazing video...! I'm super new when it comes to Yu-gi-oh (Never played anything and I only ever had any sort of contact through the Anime), so it'd be really helpful if you could perhaps make a sorta "Newbies guide to Yu-gi-oh" going over the basics so people like me don't feel overwhelmed when reading through the card descriptions and all that, that would be dope Other than that, can't wait to see more content from you...!
I am so glad that I listened to you and I played it Smart. I was struggling with my terrible colossus deck, and now I just bought 10 Prank Panic! Packs, along with whatever free packs that I've gained, and now I roughly have a Completed Prank Kids/Thunder Dragon Colluesus Deck. I've heard that this deck specifically will train me to not only play smarter but I've also heard that Thunde Dragon Collesus specifically is one of THE most powerful cards period. And Yes I'm New. I remembered old Yugioh, but that's about it. I even joke on how you even need a PhD in Yugioh just to understand specific tier-0 Cards.
@Zephyr Uhhh, I'd Say so. The Prank Kids Deck at leastyou technical ways to play Yugioh, especially since it's one of the more Noob-Friendly Cheaper decks out there, but having a Thunder Dragon Engine in there will help you even further, teaching you even more technical stuff. You have at least one special monster that will give you some sort of special effect: One to destroy the Front Row (or all opponent monsters) One to destroy the back row (or all opponent Traps and Spells) And even one that Negates the opponent from drawing extra cards. You even have a few cards here and there to work around with it in case you happened to not have a Prank kid yet, that will try and fasten your way to obtain a Prank kid, and there's even a card that whoever Prank Kids are in your graveyard can be put back into their hands respectively. This is a very good Learning deck to use. The first few games are the hardest, because you have to learn the deck itself. But even once you get the hang of the Deck, it should be enough to help you win helps a lot, because of how your cards work. And then from there, once you learned Prank Kids, you can then, for example, branch and then invest for other decks such as going for an Elderich Deck or a monster combo-based deck such as a really strong Dino Deck.
Good job Solemn. This was a very thorough and effective tutorial. -Not directly related to the video but something I realized from watching it: The duel pass looks like the Master Duel version of the battle pass so theoretically one will come out every "season" (I don't think MD will really do seasons but I'll still use the term to help explain my point) so we have this pass this season and another one for another 600 gems when this one ends in less than 74 days. If thats the case, personally, that seems way too much time. 74 days (assuming this footage was taken day 1) equals 2 months and some change of time. I got a little over halfway through it in 2 days just from enjoying the game. So if I wanted to I could clear it in a week. Meaning I would then have to wait another ~7 weeks before getting any kind of meaningful rewards outside of dailys and lifetime missions (and secret missions but the ones I've unlocked are dumb and require things like gain 100000 lp in rank duel or do 50000 damage to your opponent while they're attacking.) It makes me think MD is going to turn into Duel Links very quickly or at least during these between passes phases. But that's all assuming we're even getting more passes like this (it is probable but not garunteed). I think this would be best fixed by cutting the seasons in half and making it 37 days. You still have plenty of time to get your stuff and there'll be a dry spell at the end of the month encouraging people to spend money but there won't be a content drought every other month for people to get bored over. IDK man, this just turned into a rant about the near future
Yes I also see this as a problem, I already did most of the missions and all of solo, so there's hardly a way to get gems other than spending cash or playing ranked (also really stupid that you don't get any gems when the opponent surrenders) I hope that the events that are coming soon will give us new missions with gems regularly, like 1 big even per month.
When I met with reedstoper I had a fillings he would be like everyone I’ve meet but he turned out to be so generous and genuine. I can’t thanks him enough 4.25eth .... xxxx
@@solemnyugioh I followed your advice: I built cards on my own, purchased only the bundles on offer and the pass and created the cards you recommended in the video, but now I don't know how to compose my desk, I'm not an expert. I wouldn't know where to start, that is, what type of desk is best to make Please could you help me?
I appreciate this so much I was extremely hesitant from building a deck because I wasn’t sure if I was gonna make a galaxy eyes deck or my irl cyber dragons, so i haven’t spent a dime on packs yet
Thanks for making this tutorial I wanted to try out master duel because I was kinda bored of duel links so this will help me a lot. Also I wanted to wish every yugioh duelist a very pleasant day and or evening
This was very helpful, especially for someone coming over from DL and not having played the TCG since the gx era 😅😅. Still not a fan konami sets a time limit on the packs to get cards you want or makes the pack openings rather confusing
You can just craft any sr from that pack to unlock it again but yeah it's still kinda dumb. I guess it's made that way to keep the money flowing since you need to burn like 3 cards to unlock it
I can't remember if you mentioned that some of the challenges in solo has two things you can do. Using the loaner deck gives you the reward listed if you click over then you can get 200 gems using your own deck. 💪
Thankfully, the early game is flexible enough that Im able to just craft a lot of what i need. Currently grinding for Crossout Designator. Granted, i did toss Konami 13 bucks for that limited offer deal, but i didnt feel too guilty about that since the game is as good as it is.
@@ans-dq9xh I am about 50/50 on rank duel.. but man. They need to bring classic dueling option. I duel using no syncros/links/xyz/pendulm because i liked seeing well played games instead of speed duels. I was spectating a duel and saw the winner of duel had 26 cards left in his deck and the loser had 37 remaining cards on the third turn to me that is not fun and every deck is like that no matter the archtypes. I win because people have very few trap cards and few spells because they have all this special summon monsters loop combos to try to win and if you shut it down, you win easy but if they summon a monster that isnt effected by magic, trap,or effects on the 2nd turn with 3000 attack power.. how the fuck im suppose to get that off the board?
Nothing wrong with spending money if your passionate about the game. I’ve been into yugioh since 2003 and have spent thousands IRL. Also spent a insane amount on yugioh online duel accelerator back in the day. I’ve earned over 15-20 K gems now on master duel but will definitely buy gems once I get tired of my decks. I’ve also done all the dismantling that I can do to generate cards so I’m at the point of buying gems for packs or waiting.
Tip if you play the solo mode there are 2 rewards per duel one from doing it with the loan deck and one with your own and the big part is if you do the last duel after the gate you normally get an icon but if you do it with your deck you get 200 gems
Never played Yu GI Oh in my entire life, just seen some friends playing it but I had no cards to play either way. Now my friends are playing it on steam with this game and I decided to give it a try, thanks so much for the heads ups and tips.
followed this advice. didn't know what deck i wanted at first and im a new and f2p player. This start set me up for a pretty good f2p tri-zoo deck. still have a good bit of crafting materials left over, and a lot of gems i havent used yet. Any new player should definitely watch this! very helpful.
I hope one day we can use the duel rooms to play specific older formats or something. Id hate to use old decks I love and just play vs new updated decks and just get blown out every duel
AMAZING VIDEO,unlike other people and tutorials turning away new player because they say "this game is not for ne w players" but you motivated me to play this game
thank you so much for this. With gacha games, it's really easy to get lost on what to do and what the most optimal way to progress is. But this video cleared up alot of things for me. You're a fucking legend man 👍
I have a friend thats been playing Yu-Gi-Oh for 15 years and he helped me through the starting phase. (The free swordsoul deck also helped) He basically had me do everything you say in this video though and told me what cards to keep.
It's so hard to know what to do, when you haven't played Yugioh in like 10 years. I have no idea about any cards, decks, strategies and I dont even really know any of the summoning shit other than synchro xD
Thank you so much for telling me about the Sr crafting. I really want to build aroma but didn't luck into the secret pack. I'm pretty low on gems but now I've got a viable way to get the set ^^ Edit: I got home, did the solo stuff.. Got a full aroma deck, have been making players sad and surrendering all day
As someone who only ever got an atlantean deck and Junk Destroyer starter deck, this guide is soooo helpful thank you! Annoyingly the servers are on maintenance as soon as I downloaded the game, but I am so gonna use this later! I really hope I can get some cool archetypes like Prophecy, Evil Twin, Sky Striker and Mayakashi soon- and those secret packs should help immensely! Thank you so much! (I'm a control deck player in other games and my more knowledgeable friends recommended those. I am still gonna get a World Legacy deck too, I swear to....I dunno, Slyther? I dunno what yugioh players swear too...
Finally a Yugioh Online Game worth playing. I've missed this since Yugioh Online Duel Evolution. Yeah I'm an older player that remembers the "Duel Passes" & online trade & when you walked around as a character in Yugioh World. Hope this comes close to what that game was.
I can testify that this video's advice, of using a rank 3 engine with Requiem Dragon as a wincon for ranking up in Season 1, is very solid: yesterday I installed this game, and a few minutes ago, right before YT recommended this video to me, I hit platinum by using a very similar build to the one shown here. Although, In my version I use BA alongside the PK, out of nostalgia for the good old PK Fire days. And honestly? I don't think the optimization of gems is as strict as you're making it sound. In one day of gameplay I "wasted" gems on stuff like getting the little 3D model of Ash Blossom as a mate (and frankly if you think getting yourself a cute mascot is a "waste" then we can't be friends), and I was still able to procure all the cards I needed for this PK Fire deck, plus I was able to put together an Altergeist deck which I'm currently in the process of refining, PLUS I have assembled the Dogmatika-Invoked-Shaddoll engine, which I'm currently in the process of building a deck around. All this without spending one singular penny of real money. I do admit that I got very lucky with the secret packs system (which in general is very generous and a seriously cool design idea, kudos to whomever thought of that), as when I bought the bundle that has Ash Blossom (the card), I pulled stuff from the packs in that one that unlocked exactly the secret packs I needed.
@@sentientwaffle6696 Oh you mean, Ash Blossom? She's only the single most important card in the meta, and she's been for a couple years now. If you haven't already bought the special bundle that has her and 10 packs, buy that bundle now, IIRC the bundles aren't going to be available for long. The packs in those bundles are overloaded and, again, Ash Blossom is just THAT important. Think about it: what makes Yugioh unfun? The fact that people who go turn 1 will perform 35 minutes combos that end in them having like 3 or 4 sources of negation on the field, so that, when your own turn begins, you won't be able to do anything. Ash Blossom is part of a very exclusive club of cards that can put a stop to those combos, if used correctly.
@@cassieclicks5026 Fair. Abandoning Rescue Rabbit was a difficult decision for me as well, but even so I couldn't say no to Ash Blossom. In addition to the cuteness, there is also the troll factor that comes with looking like a complete Ash Blossom fanboy (Ash Blossom mate + Ash Blossom card protector) so that, when you then mess up an enemy combo with Ash Blossom the card, it will feel a million times more annoying. An annoyed opponent is an opponent that makes mistakes, so see, there is a psychological advantage to be had here lol. Incidentally, am I the only one who's shocked that Rescue Rabbit is the default mate? I thought for sure it would be Kuriboh.
since i live somewhere else to get to know how a job basically works (especially the one i target) i could not yet install it cuz neither i have a computer there to play it, nor any nintendo switch could connect to the internet there due to someone did sth wrong and any switch wont be given access still, that gave me the advantage to have some first few views of that and in that case i must thank you for making a start guide video so early. this will allow me to invest the gems more effective and get a huge advantage (besides that it would mean i would play less duel links but that doesnt matter). tbh i just found your channel with that video and its worth giving you a sub and a like for this video 😁
I just downloaded this game yesterday and i thought i built a pretty solid Blue-Eyes deck for starting out and i went to online duels and theres so many people with super crazy Link and Pendulum decks going absolutely crazy with summons at the bottom tiers. I dont understand how decks can be this strong right out the gate
It’s disgusting how so some people take 20 minutes for there turn I wish there was an option to choose up until what generation I wanted to play. I hate links and pendulums
@@RawLxck lol those guys are the idiots who hop into online before ever using their decks in solo. By time you get online, you should know every possible combo with your deck and hand, at least I do. My turns are around 25-30 seconds if I don’t get interrupted.
Man this game is awesome. I stopped playing tcg around the end of xyz monsters. So learning about pendulum and link has been alil weird but I know I'll get it. Can't wait to build some of my favorite decks.
I just started playing the other day. It took me a couple of hours, but I managed to build my IRL Madolche deck, and it's been working pretty damn good for me so far.
i think the revival of legends pack is supposed to help with the starter decks you could get at the beggining via giving stuff for blue eyes synchron and cyberse which are the themes of the beggining starter decks
"You can't wait to craft your favorite Elemental Heroes or something" Dude how you read through me this easily!!! I just downloaded the game just so I could play with them 😩😩 xD
Thanks for this! The only archetype I love nowerdays is Cyber Dragons, so if I get into this game I’m hoping I can get what I need to build a decent Cyber Dragon deck
another nice tip is looking around youtube for which competitive decks are more budget friendly then others, some decks got a bit shafted in having a whole ton of staples be UR while a fair number of decks have hardly any
Without a doubt, good advice, because of its value. Yet due to the fact format from 2004 to 2022 changed extremely, needs an explanation on a lot of concepts of the current meta.
Great video. my only quarrel with it is that Yu-Gi-Oh is not "almost" two decades old. It's OVER two decades old! The manga was first published September of 1996. Konami then released the official card game in 1999 in Japan; the show on April 18th, 2000; and the card game, again, in 2002, but for North America. All in all, Yu-Gi-Oh is actually 23 years old!
I love the fact that I'm watching guides that shows what decks is best to use, but i proceed to make the most dysfunctional decks that i possible could
Actually, the 1st 2 starter decks are actually useful, 1st one uses 2 blue eyes white dragons, essential for blue eyes decks so it saves time and you only need to craft one and the rest through packs and crafting. The synchros has at least some good staples like mst for most decks, then warrior returning alive for the warriors
By watching this, i was able to save up around 9k gems and go ham on some card packs, of course while getting the ones you recommended and then some. Day 1: I was able to open Exodia's 4 limbs, and craft his head! I know it probably wasn't necessary to "git gud" but it's one i've always wanted to have in my collection.
Imagine how old yugioh player which came back now must feel when they hear: "yeah! later on you're not going to run raigeki anymore..." 😂 I find this hilarious how yugioh changed
You may not see this, but thanks for this video. The last time I played yugioh was in my highschool backyard nearly two decades ago. I want to play it now and absolutely know nothing. Thanks for this starter guide.
Amazing video I wish I watch this in the beginning but I did a lot of your tips naturally, I really suggest cyber dragon as you're starting deck it's not too hard to make you get the cards pretty easily and you can go up to platinum!
Im an odd-eyes player and my friend is an utopia player. You can imagine the joy when the first structure decks to be added in the game were utopia and odd eyes one
I’ve already built a BLS Chaos deck, getting URs is so easy. The BLS link is over 70$ in real life here it took me like an hour of grinding to get 3 of it. Levianeer was piss easy to get as well.
I am going to give an advice as well that i gave to my friend who wanted to start playing master duel after 10 years of not playing yugioh. Your 1st deck that you should build is a simple version of Crooked Cook with Final Countdown. BEFORE EVERYONE JUMPS ON ME please hear me out. Crooked cook is an easy yet effective deck to play with but the actual reason is that you give your opponent time to "flex" their decks. So i told him the 1st month of playing just do the side quests and observe your opponents, once you find a deck that you really like then start building it. In the end he choose to go with a cyberdark dragon deck.
I think I read somewhere that if you win 1 game every day for like 70ish days, you'll complete the battle pass. Otherwise, if you play and lose 3 games a day you'll still complete it (it's like 120 points for a win, 50 for a loss). Don't surrender though! Lose points (or don't gain any at all) that way
@@SamusDaHero Thanks for the info. I fear to buy it because i dont really have much time to play a game a day. And for one match spend around 30 minute, hope my internet connection dont betray me
@@TeemoonMaster Since they're only single games, you shouldn't need more than 10 minutes max a day if you build a semi-competitive deck (going second decks like Machina, Mekk-Knights, or Thunder Dragons are very good). If you spend the 600 gems on the battle pass too you'll make em back if you got 10-15 minutes a day to grab a win or two
Is Yu-Gi-Oh really in such unplayable garbage state right now that Monster Reborn and Raigeki are considered bad? Yeah maybe i shouldn't get back into this.
If you aren't sure what you like and you don't mind losing a bunch, just go play matches online. If you like what your opponent is doing, save the replay and find out what archetype(s) they used.
i saw someone else's tutorial like half way, so i know most of the stuff, except that most of the meta revelant cards are in the stalwart set. So after already having 2 or 3 good decks, and seeing this video, i opened 10, 2 Tri-Brigade Omen, 3 Twin twister, 1 borrel sword. 100% worth it now i can upgrade from mst's.
I have an account on my Phone and 2 Steam accounts since Konami just SHOWERS you with gems in the beginning, making fun decks on the alts is a great way to play around with cards/strats/decks that you maybe don't want to risk losing rank while doing on your main or maybe you don't have the crafting materials or gems. Another BIG tip: if you dismantle an SR or UR IT UNLOCKS THEIR SECRET PACK (for 24 hrs) so you can get gems, scrap and then remake an SR for a deck you're building, then have that secret pack basically on-command. Hope this helps!
I miss the Blue eyes vs Dark Magician days. Life was simple.

So you turned your two weak 4 stars into a 2200 dragon + a BEWD or whatever is in your graveyard
A must add and easy summon for old school players it compliments BEWD decks goes great with all the summon power from grave like for normal/vanillas nowadays think of her as another call of the haunted THAT YOU CAN USE TWICE!!!! once per turn though 😁
I'm super new when it comes to Yu-gi-oh (Never played anything and I only ever had any sort of contact through the Anime), so it'd be really helpful if you could perhaps make a sorta "Newbies guide to Yu-gi-oh" going over the basics so people like me don't feel overwhelmed when reading through the card descriptions and all that, that would be dope
Other than that, can't wait to see more content from you...!
@GeinGrohiik Trust me, i'm on the same boat, but so long as you do your studying and you start your investment smart, you on Obliterate them back.
Recommend deck to build for a newbie but a good investment to learn from?
@Zephyr Uhhh, I'd Say so. The Prank Kids Deck at leastyou technical ways to play Yugioh, especially since it's one of the more Noob-Friendly Cheaper decks out there, but having a Thunder Dragon Engine in there will help you even further, teaching you even more technical stuff.
You have at least one special monster that will give you some sort of special effect:
One to destroy the Front Row (or all opponent monsters)
One to destroy the back row (or all opponent Traps and Spells)
And even one that Negates the opponent from drawing extra cards.
@@eksskellybur awesome. Thanks for the help
Good job Solemn. This was a very thorough and effective tutorial.
-Not directly related to the video but something I realized from watching it:
The duel pass looks like the Master Duel version of the battle pass so theoretically one will come out every "season" (I don't think MD will really do seasons but I'll still use the term to help explain my point) so we have this pass this season and another one for another 600 gems when this one ends in less than 74 days.
Yes I also see this as a problem, I already did most of the missions and all of solo, so there's hardly a way to get gems other than spending cash or playing ranked (also really stupid that you don't get any gems when the opponent surrenders)
I hope that the events that are coming soon will give us new missions with gems regularly, like 1 big even per month.
Solemn: don't waste gems
Me: I'm saving them so I can afford a berserk gorilla duel mate
That is the only acceptable way to spend them tbh

Thanks for making this tutorial I wanted to try out master duel because I was kinda bored of duel links so this will help me a lot. Also I wanted to wish every yugioh duelist a very pleasant day and or evening
Thanks and you as well
This was very helpful, especially for someone coming over from DL and not having played the TCG since the gx era 😅😅. Still not a fan konami sets a time limit on the packs to get cards you want or makes the pack openings rather confusing
You can just craft the cards & the secret packs pop back up
@@servalkorion686 that's good to know! Thank you :)
Solid tutorial, well done I am sure this will help many players out there.
Nice video, will be using this as a reference point for my friends that wanna get into the game so they don't waste gems :)
Thankfully, the early game is flexible enough that Im able to just craft a lot of what i need. Currently grinding for Crossout Designator.
Granted, i did toss Konami 13 bucks for that limited offer deal, but i didnt feel too guilty about that since the game is as good as it is.
Exactly. The fact that you didn't need to makes this a great game, there's no frustration at giving money to this game. Love it!
The game isn't bad but it's not good too . Some deck are unfair as hell and being able to most of the Time winning just because turn 2 is savage
What limited offer deal?
Tip if you play the solo mode there are 2 rewards per duel one from doing it with the loan deck and one with your own and the big part is if you do the last duel after the gate you normally get an icon but if you do it with your deck you get 200 gems
how do i do it with my deck
Never played Yu GI Oh in my entire life, just seen some friends playing it but I had no cards to play either way. Now my friends are playing it on steam with this game and I decided to give it a try, thanks so much for the heads ups and tips.

I’ve been out of yugioh for like 3 years now. Nice that ash blossom and solem cards are still on top 😂
This is a great guide for starting out as I personally never played any YGO games before
followed this advice. didn't know what deck i wanted at first and im a new and f2p player. This start set me up for a pretty good f2p tri-zoo deck. still have a good bit of crafting materials left over, and a lot of gems i havent used yet. Any new player should definitely watch this! very helpful.
I hope one day we can use the duel rooms to play specific older formats or something. Id hate to use old decks I love and just play vs new updated decks and just get blown out every duel
bro i feel your pain, i get dstroyed by all these new snycro and link summons etc.
Same here. I'm a very casual player, and prefer the slower playstyle outside the meta.
Older formats are bound to happen sooner or later. The party is only getting started !
I ,miss crystal beasts
I think they will, master duel will give OCG/TCG and other rule
AMAZING VIDEO,unlike other people and tutorials turning away new player because they say "this game is not for ne w players" but you motivated me to play this game

I also bought that model and I have never heard of that card until 7 hours ago from the time I started typing this.
The only reason I think it's a waste is because rescue rabbit is the cutest, bestest mate anyone could ever have.
@@tearsoftomorrow7872 i went and bought the ash blossom set too. I might even go for the City/town board with the cherry blossoms too. 🤣

Fortunately all you need is to beat solo mode, buy the 3 bundles, then blast the lyrilusc pack and you can birb opponents to death ez
@@RawLxck lol those guys are the idiots who hop into online before ever using their decks in solo. By time you get online, you should know every possible combo with your deck and hand, at least I do. My turns are around 25-30 seconds if I don’t get interrupted.

I wasted a lot of gems, and this video helped me get on track as I still didn't get the early ranked rewards
Mst hasn't been a staple for about 9 years man
By watching this, i was able to save up around 9k gems and go ham on some card packs, of course while getting the ones you recommended and then some.
So for the dual pass do you have to actually win in order to progress
I think I read somewhere that if you win 1 game every day for like 70ish days, you'll complete the battle pass. Otherwise, if you play and lose 3 games a day you'll still complete it (it's like 120 points for a win, 50 for a loss). Don't surrender though! Lose points (or don't gain any at all) that way
This id what im question ing too

i saw someone else's tutorial like half way, so i know most of the stuff, except that most of the meta revelant cards are in the stalwart set.
*edit* literally after posting this comment I un-paused the vid and he mentions the scrapping for secret packs thing :V *
THANK YOU used this and crafted my own deck fairly quickly without spending any money
Oh, I cant wait to start playing again! Thank you for the tips.
nice gonna be on it.... since I formerly played duel links at least...
