- I needed a new project to work on and even though I stopped customizing cars years ago, I wanted to install an aftermarket air intake system on my little blue civic.
Why though?
- you get a little increase in horsepower
- you can get cooler air to the engine that will hopefully increase you fuel economy slightly
- you get some nice engine noise
- it looks fresh
- you can wash and reuse the air filters
Name brand intake systems for my car are all over $200! No thanks. I bought this universal 3” diameter intake system online made from aluminum pipe for $30. I needed another extension piece I found at the local auto parts store along with a connector and boom… took about an hour and you can totally hear a nice deep throaty sound from the engine now. - เกม
Got a 2016 Civic EX with a AEM intake, nice job
Yeah I have a 2020 Honda Civic 2.0 no turbo too, 6 speed, and I just got a prl Intake hose to replace factory one, they say the factor air box is a good design so I kept it and running a K&n air filter but that’s cool too. The only problem I see with that design is hot air from the engine bay will make temps go up and not cool air go into the throttle body
Would you know anything about a PRL short ram? Thinking about switching to one
@@ShikyoGryfyn yeah heard there good I would get one it’s on prl website I traded in my civic tho for a 23 Camry so I have aem intake
Are we just gonna ignore the burp at 7:20 😂
Has any fault code been turned on?
How is this custom intake holding up?
Why do you they never link the parts in the description smh
