Ahh Koringberg! A town close to my heart! As far as I know the coal train still passes through on the way to De Hoek (PPC). Thanks for taking us along 👍🏻
Hi Sonia and Curtis Thank you for another wonderful trip. This little town looks so peaceful and quiet. Perfect place to retire. Was good seeing Dusty with you even though he was sleeping. Looking forward to the next trip. Travel safe guys!
Fresh baked farm bread from local wheat, plus locally grown olive oil, some feta cheese, more olives....what a feast! Oh, and a glass of wine for me of course. Lovely to hone in on the station first thing. So peaceful and quiet I swear I heard that bird over there on the fence poep! The stonework church is so beautiful. Exploring doesn't get boring 😅 you're a poet and just don't know it! Lovely old building you over nighted in, I would want to spend more than one night there. My late hubby would have adored this place
Such a beautiful little hamlet, almost lost in time and exuding peace and tranquility. My kind of living, far from the madding crowd! Excellent choice of music which complimented the splendour of the drone footage. The beautiful Olive Grove Cottage just added the finishing touch to a wonderful visit. A visit to Koringberg is definitely on my to-do list now.
Hello, that is such a lovely quiet place. I loved those Olive 🫒 Trees plus the Orange and Lemon Trees ❤ Bad weather in Cape Town now Brrrr 🥶💦 Keep safe ❤
I loved your overnight stay. It is just screaming my idea of a perfect homestead vibes. Love this little place. I could stay there in a heart beat. Thank you for another video that doesn't disappoint 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 safe travels you two...almost 500 episodes !!!!!
Hi Curtis Sonia and Dusty, I see you in the back window ❤. The words 'oulike plekkie', comes to mind. Never heard of it but it's a very peaceful looking place, thanks for always getting us on the road and keeping us safe, safe travels 🥾
That was an interesting look and see of Koringberg has been many years ago that I visited there...when will you be doing Moorreesburg 😀 😉 😊😅 thanks for sharing 😊😅😮
What a pretty town. Reminds me back to my days on the farm. Golden days it was and the quietness allowed me to be myself. I love these old small towns and salute them that still live there in these difficult times. Thanks the drone did his job. I love all the trees. It gives the town so much character. I love Olive Grove cottage - must visit some time. Thanks for this trip. I enjoyed it so much. See you on the next one.
Hi guys another gem so peaceful and quiet. As you were looking driving past olives and eucalyptus trees it was like driving in Greece 🇬🇷. We'll spotted Sonia the Markt plein sign and great to see the old horse trough I can imagine wagons unloading and the bustling market!!! .the station name boards with 91 miles away from Cape Town hour and half drive you could be hundreds of miles away. Loved the old church it was in amazing condition. What can I say about your accommodation awesome!!! .I would bet your hosts have been to Greece the place was so tastefully decorated and dressed. But when you see that sunrise you can only be in South Africa. Relaxed vibe lovely place.thanks for taking me along cheerio till the next one
Our accommodation was absolutely fantastic and was the olive on top of our Koringberg visit. 😁🍈 Our hosts are indeed well-travelled and I'm sure the tasteful decor was definitely partially inspired by their travels.
Another town with those Afrikaans "g's." Ha... not easy for those visiting from afar. Love the drone shots. Koringberg reminds me of many small towns in Namibia.
This is my dream to travel to country places throughout SA. Love your channel - your photography, all the interesting comments...the trees...your cottage. I am excited about following you on further trips! But the best part was that I went inside that church with a dear friend whose father was one of the Dutch Reformed dominees there in days gone by. I was so inspired that I write a poem whilst sitting inside. What a fond memory.Thank you Denise McLoughlin from Stilbaai
The train passes 2x a day. The building next to the post office, houses a very interesting collection of museum collectibles dating back to when that building housed a blacksmiths workshop. I think the post office lady may have access details.
Great video .....loved the invisible horse neighing 🐴🐎🤪😜

Thank you for this lovely tour, and you guys are so very sweet. I also get a kick out of how many 'Afrikaanse woorden' are so very similar to Dutch.

@@lulamantshephe5595 Ek het vir meer as 5 jaar in Namibië gewoon. Tog, dit was twintig jaar gelede en my Afrikaans is beperk. Dis 'n lieflike taal.

Don't tell Sonja about the Lemons
Dis waar ons Weatbix vandaan kom…soos Trix Pienaar dit destyds op ‘n tv advertensie gesê het “van die swartland.” 😀
35:40 it was built prior to that. You can see the 1924 is altered
Hulle het ‘n Afrikaanse film vervaardig op Koringberg…en die film se naam is Koringberg. Was op Kyknet te sien.😀
Loved the vibe of koringberg :) maybe Worcester next?
We visited Worcester in Episode 396 already! 🚙😁 Check it out!
@@DustBugsTravel I will most definitely 😁 thank you
Pragtige Swartland dorpie! EVK is die Evangeliese Gereformeerde Kerk of Evangelical Reformed Church in Engels, as ek Sonja reg gehoor het🤔
the portions are usually too small
