Montagu should be on this list, as well as Kaapschehoop. And Nottingham Road. But frankly, there are LOADS of magic little towns in South Africa. It's a road-tripper's dream.
South Africa is indeed beautiful. Thank you for the reminder. Lady Grey is one of my favourite towns. And Clarens. You focused mostly on the Western Cape and rightly so. However, there are very pretty little towns in other provinces too.
Kaapsehoop in Mpumalanga is an amazing town to visit, I recently stayed there over New Years. Such a peaceful town to visit. It's gracefulness is amazing! The town also has a lot of history. Also may want to think of visiting Barberton, also in Mpumalanga, you'll spend a few days exploring all of it's monuments and surrounds!
To name a few of my favourite : 1. Tiffendale in Rhodes - EC, the second highest peak ski resort in the world 2. Port Alfred - EC 3. St. Francis Bay - EC 4. Clarens - FS 5. Oudtshoorn , Klein Karoo - WC 6. Haartebeesport - NW 7. Port Shepston - KZN 8. Port St.Johns - EC 9. Kysna - WC 10. Grahamstown - EC
I am often amazed at the arrogant intolerance of people. Whoever made this, obviously made an effort to promote the country, to encourage in all probability foreigners to explore certain towns which may not necessarily be on the A tourism list. Publications such as these may cause some tourist to rather visit any of the towns in the video than other towns which are regularly visited and contribute towards the economy of such town. The name of the town is visually reflected, so although the pronunciation may be incorrect, it could still without effort be found. One should rather appreciate and applaud the effort by the editor and publisher to promote which is an obviously foreign country, than to criticize pronunciation.
In Greyton you get a two for one special in a smaller town just 5km away. GENADENDAL, a historically significant place in South Africa. Truly another gem in the crown of the Overberg region
we are blessed in the Western cape with about 7/10 from this list and the others close by in the Eastern Cape just over the province line like J-Bay, Prince Albert. I 'm happy to have visited every town on the list North and South . I love my country and count every blessing.
You missed alot of small towns in SA. SA has 9 provinces and I just hear about western cape and Eastern cape. Wish you could accommodate other provinces in SA❤
I'm rather taken aback that he did not include Wakkerstroom in Mpumalanga, Mtunzini in KZN, or Zeerust in North West. But then, as some South Africans have commented, he does not seem to be familiar with our lovely little towns.
@@thembadube9589 exactly. How can a person that dont know much make a video like this. Im from zeerust its small and hot as hell. Then 40km towards gauteng is magaliesburg, swartruggens, derby etc. All small towns. In the 80's my husband worked for spoornet in zeerust I came to east london 5 years ago and zst was still nearly the same. What about nietverdiend on route to botswana? Theres so many towns not only on the south coast
For all the moaners here: This video is made for potential tourists, not South Africans. Do you think that foreigners care about the pronunciation? Be grateful that our country is getting wonderful exposure.
Another hidden gem that no tourists have heard of is the West Coast. Yzerfontein, Langebaan, Paternoster, Jacobsbaai and many more. Places like !Khwa ttu, the fossil park, etc where a person can learn all about the San people - the story of humankind. Seems like few South Africans visit this incredibly beautiful part of the country which is just an hour drive from Cape Town.
South Africa is such a beautiful country and its people there are many unvisited little gems ,so if you are from any of these please provide the names and province may be travel insights will come back and show them, and help him with the pronunciation, thank you for show casing our beautiful land
Thanks for showing these towns. There are many more that are unknown because South africa doesn't show these towns, like Hendrina, Emelo, Margate, Portshepstone, Tongaat, Richardsbay, Stanger , Eshowe, Melmoth, New Castle, Ladysmith, and many more.
Great Video. Thank you so much for doing this for South Africa. Yes there are many small towns throughout South Africa so perhaps it would be an idea to do Province by Province. The Vaal River areas do have lovely quaint towns too. Thank you again.
My mother's name is Claudette nickname claud and dad's name is George I grew up in pearston most of my dad's family is from graaff reinette I have sweet memories of graaff reinette especially when it's rains in graaff you can smell the earth

Thank You PLease make videos about capital cities for every province, and video about the most industrial cities in South Africa. already subscribed.
Very well represented and beautiful scenery shown of these lovely and picturesque towns. Some might find the pronouncements of the towns a little different but it was well documented and presented by a foreigner and Afrikaans is definitely Not part of his vocabulary but did an outstanding job nonetheless
Thanks for the info. You missed out Wellington. Some of my old friends are from there & I was hoping that their town might be in the top ten. Maybe be you need to have another video with the top 20 & see if it will appear on the list. Anyway, all the towns look to have been well planned & they look to be well maintained
Some of the imagery used for Genadendal is not actually in Genadendal. I lived and worked there for 2 years. Also, you should mention that Genadendal and Greyton are 5 minutes apart. You shouldnt visit the one without seeing the other
These are predominantly the small towns in the Western Cape. There are lots more in other Provinces as well e.g. Clarence, Parys, Dullstroom, St Francis Bay (the latter maybe not a small town but worth visiting)....
Rhodes in the easten cape, hippie town many years back, cecil john rhodes started the town, the tiffendale ski resort is up on the mountain joining lesotho border
You concentrated on side of the country, do you Tzaneen, Makhado/Louis Trichards,Palaborwa, Mokopane,Warm Bath/ Bela-Bela Bela-Bela, Hoed spruit ,Modimolle ,Thabazimbi and many more.
I appreciate you adding genadendal to the list and would excuse for the pronunciation however, u including pictures of other towns in the segment which is incorrect. I.e. franschoek monument and greyton restaurant. These are not genadendal monuments
SouthAfrica is beautiful place ❤❤❤❤

Hi...people around the world im saadia from southafrica thank to the narator for showcasing our beautiful hidden gems in south Africa 🇿🇦
Hermanus is my favorite place in the world.

You obviously don't know Afrikaans. It is just plain disrespectful to pronounce Genadendal in the way the narrator did.
These towns are all dying .
Effort could easily have been made to find correct pronunciation. Arrogant of these people to think it is OK to just f it up so completely.
@@Bond786muslimThanks to the racist ANC government 👌honestly we just swapped extremes but now everyone suffering
The pronunciation is so bad it will hamper communication should tourists use it that way in SA unless they present the written form.
Parys is so full of culture and the Vaal river is awesome. Love the restaurant there clled O's, great food great gardens on the banks of the Vaal
Dullstroom, Kaapsehoop, Heanertsburg, Hoedspruit, Haartebeespoort, Clarens

Haenertsburg /Magoebaskloof definitely needs to be mentioned here.

South Africa what beautiful place
Glad to say I have visited at least 6 of these towns during my travels over the years . Yes I covered all 9 provinces ..
In Greyton you get a two for one special in a smaller town just 5km away. GENADENDAL, a historically significant place in South Africa. Truly another gem in the crown of the Overberg region

You must PLEASE get someone to correctly say the names of the places..!....!
Seriously though, I'm glad he is highlighting small SA towns but he's butching the pronunciations
Like you pronounce all the South African names correctly.
Please please get someone to teach this gentleman to pronounce the names of the towns correctly ! It’s painful to listen to 😢
Forgive him he is in the foreign country, it's a pity he didn't look for a SAn to help him with pronunciation. Otherwise it's a good video 😊
It's an AI.
