Koringberg, Western Cape

Koringberg is a settlement in West Coast District Municipality in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Village 118 km north-north-east of Cape Town and 17 km north of Moorreesburg. Founded at Warren's Camp in 1923, it was thus named because it is situated in a wheat growing area.
In Koringberg it’s not what they have - it’s what they don’t have - petrol stations, traffic, busy shops, banks, noisy cars, parking attendants, etc. What they do have is open country roads, wheat fields, a place where electricity cuts are taken as an opportunity to enjoy the stars and a good South African braai, interesting insects both great and small, cows, sheep, ducks, chickens, guinea fowl and even the odd falcon.
Enjoy water-skiing and sunset boat trips at Misverstand Dam. Hiking, mountain biking, clay pigeon shooting or horse riding are all available in the area.

Ek kyk elke dag die Wes Kaap se dorpies, ek leef my daarin uit. Ons bly op n kleinhoewe buite Pretoria, ek sal enige tyd na so n dorpie te trek as ek kan. Daar is soveel rustigheid, diep en dierbare mense. Dankie vir die videos. Groete.

Soveel maal is De Hoek net naasaan die warmste plek in SA, en Koringberg net so warm. Upington is 'n koue front. Saam hiermee Cillié naby Augrabies en Gharagab by Union's End.
