So you can watch it closely and carefully, hoping not to miss anything.
69th like, now I like the video better now
I just rewind it a million times when I miss something 😂
I think people should stop comparing him with blender guru and others, they are completely different styles, Olav makes short and straight to the point tutorials, while blender guru makes long tutorials, explaining everything he is doing, while adding some jokes for entertainment. They are very different so stop comparing.
I learnt Blender yesterday. Thanks to Blender Guru. He goes into details that helped me with this tutorial. I got the basic idea of the program thanks to Guru and when more advanced I guess that I prefer the fast facts like this one. They have different workflow and we need more of all kinds of tutorials. Don't complain, please. It doesn't cost you anything that they work parallel to each other.
Thanks to all you Tutorial guys out there. No more Software Bibles. *thumps up*.
Most regards
blender guru talks too much I unsub from him long ago I even delete all his tutorials .
@@user-ir2fu4cx6p NO ONE ASKED BRO
@@user-ir2fu4cx6p wow so much hate 😂 put that hate to somewhere else, dude
@@levitus._3507 I don't hate him just hate his style :)
Guys! Don't forget to wait for the fluid baking process to reach 100% so the water animation will play smoothly. It may take awhile for first timers and slow computers. Great tutorial!
bro fluid is not cmng after 1 sec... what have i done mistake?
Using this as my first lesson to goof around and learn blender, made a few mistakes, but nothing a bit of common sense didn't solve. Thank you for making it so simple with on-screen instructions and a 'No Nonsense' tutorial. Very easy to follow! Thank you!
+derek dsouza Thanks man :)
TH-cam's algorithm is getting better day by day!
I just watched the video, even though I did not understand what he did and also I don't have blender, just to see the intermediate animations, idk why?

this looks easy yet complicated at the same time. I NEED TO LEARN THIS PROGRAM
Presses render
Time Remaining- 2 days for frame 1
Kill me now
Hopefully Eevee will be good for simulations haha
Oh god no...
And i have REALLY big proyects to make on this program
Get a kick ass graphics card. Something way better than a Quadro k3000.Userbenchmark is my best friend.
@@chriscasseday7707 it's kinda hard... Way too hard
oh, I'm not alone!! 5 minutes for frame 1
You just opened up a whole new box of ideas for me. Thank you!
I like how you do the "important" part, aka the fluid in the beginning, and you leave all the details for later.
my heart giggles more for the love of animation. awesome tut! brief and concise! thanks a lot!!
this is a very nice tutorial for beginners like me , i really appreciate your explanation
your tuturials are soo cool.you just earned a sub
Thanks man!
I checked your channel after seeing you on Blender Guru comments and really liked your tutorials, this is going to help me a lot to learn 3D.
Gonna try making this first with a tutorial then by myself and see how much i mess up
well i did it! The madlad, I, just did it myself! Took me only 10 tries!
Make sure to fill the inflow circle as shown in this tutorial if you want the water to work. The tutorial still works as of 2019. Please follow the tutorial properly before you ask questions in the comments. I hope you find this tutorial useful. :)
Glass is still in the latest version, many of you forget to switch to Cycles Render.
Jesse deHoog Well you have to follow all the other steps as well haha
Olav3D Tutorials haha
Olav3D Tutorials sir please 2D make video editing video
Olav3D Tutorials sir i have completed every thing u have shown in tutorial but it is taking around 15 min to load 1 frame it is taking a lot of time sir......what to do?? 😔
lower resolution
Hey I'm new to blender but this tutorial has given me a significantly better understanding of it. It was an absolute wealth of information! I bookmarked this page and the video took around an hour to finish because I was taking notes on all the hot keys which will be an extreme help later on. The camera fly with 0 shift + S was probably one of my favorite things to learn and I know I'll be using it a lot in the future. This will probably be my only comment on youtube for the year since of 2018 so gotta make it count. Thanks a lot I'll check out what else you got and probably sub. Also my only sub of the year haha wish me luck! My goal is to make short stories with a team some day.
Thanks, I`m glad you learned a lot :)
One of the best things you did was explain why you were doing things the way you did them. Even just the little things. Rather than just saying press shift plus whatever and moving on to the next step. Because you explained your steps and what they do I have a way better understanding and can even experiment more. A thousand thanks to you.
Please how did you achieved it. camera fly was my difficult part, any clue? Thanks
I wish you the best of luck to achieve your dream, Pal.
Thanks you so much. I have been away from blender for a while and this video is a great way of diving back in and also awakening old reflexes. Cheers.
vov that was so clear no redundant talks or intro, you are the best
i love this first animation woot woot!!!

I say it's truely made for you
Nice.. But i have problems with water direction.. How do i can resolve this?
Be more specific please
pp.userapi.com/c840336/v840336453/32129/1cJB3N3cuQk.jpg
My water flows in the wrong direction and bounces off the wall
same for me also
Change value in Y -axis from 1 to -1 ...
thnx 4 the reply
Another brilliant, straightforward Blender tutorial from Olav3D. Thank you! :)
Very good tutorial. You can make it look even better by adding details such as textures and slightly rounding the edges and corners of the geometry, etc. But what you've shown here is the essential stuff. Thanks very much
Owesome tutorial. And i did use blender to make this. But the water didn't fill the container, instead it spill all over the container. My mistake though... But still, this tutorial is awesome.
Very Impressive you are very talented in making as well as in explaining
i luv ur tutorials, short, crisp, to the point, easy and with text displayed!
I like this! I think I’ll use this tutorial as the basis for some of my first animation demos, all involving water.
Nice! Great Job! I like it :D
Thx bro........thx thx thx........u really helped me.......yo! .....keep it up
I just picked up blender. This was a huge help. Thanks.
Just read a few comments before I made my own and people seem to compare this to a BlenderGuru tutorial. Two different styles, both great, don't compare. Guru's beginner vid's are great and got me up and running. After that you need something short & snappy like this which I'll be recreating over the weekend. Guru did a similar, short, tutorial about the physics engine which I will also be recreating. Free education is a rarity, don't knock it and never, ever, turn it down.
This is the first video I've seen from you and it was really good. It was quick and simple. I didn't read the text yet because I wanted to see if the video was something I could follow along with but it looks like you quickly say what to do, then uses the text to explain what it's for. I really like that. I like Blender Guru but he talks and rambles way too much sometimes.
His animation: *Works perfectly*
Me copying him: *Domain turns to water and inflow doesn't output water*
same with me :(
rizky alfriansyah kira2 knp y? We udah coba berulang kali padal

Straight to the point. Great tutorial
Brilliant tutorial mate,
Easy to follow simple and enjoyable. This was an enjoyable tutorial due to its short simplicity yet I think my render may take many hours maybe even more than a day thank you anyways
I love how you make it clear and simple, but just one thing can you talk a little bit slower, not more complex but slower. Much thanks!
+Tsai Michael Thanks for the feedback :)
I agree but you can also just slow down the speed on the bottom right of the video
th-cam.com/video/wbxgOCxh25Q/w-d-xo.html
Funny how he sound just like normal calm guy if you but speed to 0.75. Almost like he sped up his video.
I thought it was a good speed for me!
Reading the comments as I bake, bake
Same here
you're the real mvp
I think I've got time to watch the Godfather trilogy...
How the fugg does he bake so quickly? All my shits brand new. i9 processor, 32 gigs of ram, designated gpu, and I'm baking all day. Does anyone know?
yup
I am very happy to see the process
Thank you so much for all of your tutorials. They are so much fun and I learn so much.
My first ever liquid simulation. Thanks so much for this tutorial! It was very straight forward, and nothing went wrong!
Better Than Blender Guru!
That is straight to the point excellent
Really rich video, detailing lots of tips and tricks while you are using them. You work at a snappy pace, whilst still being clear, and giving just enough info to satisfy curiosity without making the tutorial have to span several videos. Keep up the amazing work :)
Thanks for the nice comment :)
The water from the shell is not coming for long time..can you please help me out?
As I am a beginner, I didn't understand anything😂😂 that's not your fault.....
Your tutorial is amazing bro😍😘
Now i know how to make flowing water out of my head. THANK YOU!
Dude, that was awesome. Not only was it fast, but I learned so much! You just earned a new sub, :D
I wish I should know how to learn blender.
In 2years you could have got quite good I’m curious myself

I say it's truely made for you
And must see the channel.
It's highly recommended from me
how does it bake so quickly or did you fast foward it?
i have a xeon 1240v2, 16gb ram dual channel, 1070 on win7 prof 64 bit using the version 2.79
x2
well, you can lower the quality of the baking process
Great Tutorial and it's really helpful in getting touch with the fluid simulations.
Today you told me a new way to wake and "bake". Lol . Thanks btw for such an easy tutorial
silly question. does the water overflow out of the container if the scene keeps going?
Syrgak Mv now I want to make hose kid channels and make money lol
@ awesome.
@ what is the wired big cube for? Im new :D
@@MrEmbew That th DEFAULT CUBE , you can safely delete it and create any Mesh you want
@@user-ir2fu4cx6p i mean the domain cube
Great tutorials. I really that you make them so short. It's better than blender guru or gleb because you're not ranting or making coffee jokes. We're here to learn, not be entertained.
People watch tutorials to learn, not to hear a guy make jokes and spend 40 min doing something simple haha ;) I`m glad you like it buddy.
lol
Why knock another artist? Thumbs down. Even if your content is good, no need for that.
Alexis Sosa dude it's just the truth. Those guys take 1 hour to teach what they can teach in 15 minutes. We need more people like Olav3D
Alexis Sosa I like them both, I even bought that Sci-Fi course, that’s what really matters. No need to be sensitive.
Gosh, I've been trying to make a bathtub being filled by water for A YEAR and I finally saw your tutorial and finished it in 30 minutes...
This tutorial deserves a subscription
how to save? because i really follow your steps by steps and , when i click animation, it goes to render process and when the process is done, i look at to the file where i save my work and then, i saw it it is save by PNG image nad not a video :), m,y question is how to save just like your?
Sai's Gaming you have to click on where it says PNG and change it to AVI JPEG. You also have to change the folder where you’re saving the video to. It’s automatically set to /tmp/
I can't find the materiel for water. it's totally different
Are you sure you are using Cycles Render?
If theres an option "Use Nodes" you have to click on it to appear the shader options
Nice I finish this blender tut, thanks that was fun. My first Blender tut I finish.
you make it look so easy
How much CPU ram do you have.....
And which is your graphics card
well, his cpu might be i7, and he might have considerable amount of ram, and i dunno what his gpu is
When it takes 10 mins to get past the first 30 secs: oh shoot here we go again
Wow cool..I just have started using Blender. I'm a beginner. Love your tutorials. Thank you. I wanna start follow and make it.
Great tutorial, short and to the point
what's your GPU?
GTX970
The 1 dislike is a paint3d user

Explaining the options you select would be very helpful here
Hold your mouse cursor above the setting to see the explanation, I have more explanation about the settings in my later tutorials.
Finally! Someone who uses fly cam to position a camera
thanks for mentioning that the rendering takes like a million years...
Yeah u right😂
What is this shoftwer?
Blender
How to C4D read the video title next time
Thank you so much. Amazing.
Very clear tutorial! Thank you very much!
My bake is taking 5 hours.. What?
I've got the same problem :(
Render with GPU
Hey in the render panel i put my device to GPU complete but when i bake, and i look the performance of my computer the CPU is use ... Is that normal ?
Your CPU is always being used
me 2 hours
I got your tutorial as a recommendation, best thing ever recommended to me. Thanks a ton!
thanks dude makes me feel proud that i created a animation
Thanks, I hope you enjoyed it :)
Great tutorial, thank you!
Thank a lot! for the amazing tutorial
This is so easy to learn. Thank you
Great Tutorial, no blah blah :) Good pace. Thanks!
Thank you for tutorial.
Finally did it thnx for the tutorial
outstanding tutorial, got me right back on track for picking up fluid sims again! one thing i would ask you is to maybe explain what settings do when you change them for example when you set inflow to shell instead of volume. i believe i have an idea of it but knowing the actual difference would be great for the video ! thanks for the video !
another thing i don't get what it does: when we set the mean crease value of the cylinder circles to 1
You are my Blender Sensei...I have learnt sooooo much with you...thanks! :)
Thank you so much, i learned a lot from your tutorial =)
Thanks! This was a huge help to a beginner like me!
Great tutorial, thanks for uploading
Wow, nice tutorial man :) keep up the great work!
