God bless you! I have watched N videos before yours and all assumed some specific reason why the rope was not recoiling, without even mentioning there could be other reasons. Needless to say mine was not the reason they were assuming.
Just what I needed to know. My chainsaw is new but a cheaper model. I just needed to open up and press the spring towards the center to meet up with the gap and that was the problem solved. Perhaps the issue might reoccur if the spring is low quality, but I am up and running thanks to you. Nice instruction.
Thanks very much for the video. My chainsaw is very similar to yours. I applied oil to it and nothing happened. So I started to unscrew the middle screw that houses the spring - and that immediately fixed the problem. Regards.
