Belief is that, Mohammed became a prophet at the age of 40, married Ayesha when he was 50 while Ayesha was 6 or 7 and 9 at the consummation. Imagine, we are talking about a prophet here. The age difference alone is insane, on top of Ayesha being a mere child.

It's unfortunate that these debates don't bring in the Sharia manuals, as those are the final understanding and the consensus (ijima) of the top Islamic scholars. Muhammad said that anyone who strays from the ijima departs for hell. Islamic countries live by the rules of Sharia, not by some Western definitions of just war or punishment that Nadir wants to use.

Nadir comes into these debates with a purely polemical expectation, which is evident from his expressions such as "chased away from the quran", "crutching at straws", "running away" etc.. it's never an attempt at really understanding the opponents points and being an honest interlocuter. Rather it's about "winning", "destroying", "humiliating" etc... this is childish and bad faith. He also would go into great lengths (this is an understatement) to twist the Islamic texts to absolve Islam from its inconsistencies but doesn't extend the same charity to other religious texts. Personally, I think he knows that he is doing all this, but too deep into this whole game to change or concede anything

Adam was not ready to respond to that Encyclopedic entry about Just War Theory. Nadir kept going back to it as back up and Adam did not directly address it; even if there was no time to read it during the debate. A lesson for a next time.

The funny thing is, no Muslim cares about the Western definitions of justified war. If you read Sharia manuals, it's very clear how easy it is to fight the unbelievers. Also, the punishment for a non-Muslim doing anything to a Muslim is very different under Sharia than a Muslim doing something to a non-Muslim. We can see this in effect today in Sharia holes like Pakistan, where the Muslim police just stand by as Muslims burn down churches for example. You'll see a slap on the hand vs years in jail.

What is peaceful and what is cruel, what is right and what is wrong, depends on the values of the culture. Muslims judge according to the Koran, while others judge according to other values, such as national or international law.
Thus, dialogue is often futile. The best way to avoid conflict is to maintain non-interference with each other.
