Could you give some examples of emotional biases? If you mean that it is fallacious to argue that Islam is false because one doesn't like it, you're right. If you mean that it is fallacious to say that Islam is false because it gets moral facts wrong, then, at least for moral realists (like myself), you're wrong. It is valid to argue that the claims that God is perfectly good and that he approves of something like slavery are self-contradictory.

Great video. I love to hear your perspective as an arabic speaker talking about Islam, there is so much value in that. • @carnivoreisvegan

Even the translations themselves debunk Islam. If even the Arabic scholars can't translate the quaran properly, and we have to be a native Arabic speaker in order to understand the quaran, then Allah failed to make it clear, like it says it's designed to do. So that debunks the quaran based on that fact.

    • @collybever

The translations seem to cover over mistakes in the Quran, so if you knew Arabic you'd be more likely to leave. Odd there, Mohammed's worst comments on the Torah is that they were covering over things (not corrupting it, but being selective), yet their translations do the same thing. One can see Arab christians and atheists show these errors - eg 33.56 Allah and the angels pray for Mohammed, is frequently mistranslated, as Allah should not be praying since He's God alone, it would work for a Trinity God or a pantheon idea.

Islam like other religions is a faith. The word faith is the 2nd most frequent word in the Qur'an. What is faith? Faith is to accept things as true without verifiable evidence. If you have verifiable evidence that something is a fact you don't need faith.
The Qur'an, like other religious scriptures, does not prove it is from God. Rather, the Qur'an makes a claim that it is from God and then asks you to disprove its claim. This is called shifting the burden of proof upon the denier. In the real world when you make a claim you are supposed to prove your claim not demand that others disprove your claim.

The main issue with sister of Aaron is that sister cannot mean descendant.
One could argue that Mary is a "daughter" of Amram since her cousin Elizabeth is a "daughter" of Aaron, the son of Amram. But no title uses sibling relationships to refer to descendants of an important person. Let's say Aaron had a direct daughter who was a pious prophetess. Would anyone call her sister of Aaron, her direct father? Say if Aaron had a great granddaughter who became a prophetess, would anyone call her sister of Aaron, her great grandfather? So why would it make any more sense that Mary, who probably isn't even an actual descendant of Aaron, could be the sister of her great great (etc) grandfather?

More precisely... where does that verse mention anything about _"the Samaritans AND the City Of Samaria?"_
You are simply putting words into the verse to justify the _"historical facts"_ invented by people who don't even know actually existed or not. But, due to your *emotional biases* you assumed one is right and the other is factually erroneous!

The event at Mount Sinai is before 1400 BC. The Samaritan civilization first existed during the time of King Omri (ruled 880s-870s BCE), so during the time of King Hosea (reign to 732-721 BCE), the Samaritans already existed. But during the time of Moses no Samaritans exist. According to Encyclopedia Judaica, 1972, Volume 14, col. 727, the Samaritans are the direct descendants of the Joseph tribes, Ephraim and Manasseh, and until the 17th century CE they possessed a high priesthood descending directly from Aaron through Eleazar and Phinehas. Again this source is 1972 so it is not reliable. Let's say they descendants of Ephraim or Manasseh, the point is again Samaritans only began existing from the time of King Omri (860 BCE). You cannot use the Qur'an passages because Qur'an was written around 640 CE. The earliest Archeological findings of Samarian existence of a sacred precinct on the site in the Persian period, by the 5th century BCE. So again the earliest existence of Samaritans is in the Old Testament during the time of King Omri (860 BCE), and again no Samaritans existed during the time of Moses.
Mary's parents was not mentioned in the New Testament, but was mentioned as Joachim and Anna from the 2nd Century Apocryphal Gospel of James which is not included in the canon. So if Qur'an claims the brother of Mary is Aaron without any other reference is simply a false claim. Numbers 26:59. 'the name of Amram's wife was Jochebed, a descendant of Levi, who was born to the Levites in Egypt. To Amram she bore Aaron, Moses and their sister Miriam.
So their should be no confusion here, since the time gap between Miriam and Mary mother of Jesus is 1,400 years. Even the parents of Miriam who is Amram and Jochebed is different from Mary's parents Joachim and Anna and Mary has no brother said in the New Testament. Of course if the intentions of the Qur'an writer is to seek the truth their should be no false claim from their book since the Bible records is confirmed by other books much earlier than the Qur'an. But the Qur'an wrote a false claim stating Mary as Aaron's sister and daughter of Imran.
The base of the pyramid is made of granite blocks and the remaining part is made of limestone blocks, the average bearing capacity for these materials is 343.65 KN that is why the Egyptians used these materials to build the pyramids to great heights. Now fired or baked bricks has a much lower bearing capacity of up to 35 KN and lower, so it would be a waste of time and resources to use this to build high structures. In Genesis 11 it was written that the people used baked bricks to build their city with a tower, but the tower was not completed for God disrupted them and another reason is that bricks could not simply support the shear weight of the structure as it goes higher, that is why the city was never finished. If you look at the Hebrew text it is not mentioned as heavens but baš·šā·ma·yim (heaven), meaning the atmosphere. Surah 28 ayah 38 could have used these verses without knowing that you cannot build a tower made of fired bricks as high as the pyramid or higher because it will not have enough internal strength to support the weight.
The evidences supporting the truth of the Book of Esther is:
    1. Numerous scholars have proposed theories as to who Ahasuerus represents. Most scholars today identify him with Xerxes I, as did 19th-century Bible commentaries.[9] Three factors, among others, contribute to this identification:
It is believed the Hebrew 'Ahasuerus' descended from the Persian names for Xerxes I.
Historian Herodotus describes Xerxes I as being susceptible to women and in the habit of making extravagant offers to them, just as he did to Esther ("up to half my kingdom"). Herodotus mentions that the Persian empire stretched from India to Ethiopia and also refers to the magnificent royal palace in Shushan (Susa), corroboration of what is stated in the Book of Esther. In addition Herodotus mentions an assembly of Persian nobles called by Xerxes to advise him on the proposed war against Greece. Although Herodotus does not give the location of this assembly, the date - "after Egypt was subdued" - corresponds to Xerxes' third year when Esther records an assembly of Persian nobility at a feast. (Histories VII.8) Herodotus also mentions that following his defeat at Salamis Xerxes I became involved in harem intrigues involving his wife Amestris and his daughter-in-law, with whom he became enamoured. (Histories IX.108) Herodotus relates this occurred in the tenth month of his seventh year as king - the same time Ahasuerus was choosing beautiful women for his harem (Esther 2:16).
Annals from the reign of Xerxes I mention an otherwise unattested official by the name of "Marduka", which some have proposed refers to Mordecai, as both are mentioned serving in the king's court.
    2. The Discovery Susa. Persia’s Royal Ancient Capital. Susa served as a vital site for major empires, such as the Elamite, Persian, and Parthian. Its prominence in history is well-documented, especially in ancient texts like the Bible, where it is noted as the setting of the Book of Esther. It also functioned as one of the administrative capitals under Darius the Great during the Achaemenid Empire, reinforcing its role as a cultural and political powerhouse.
    3. Discovery of Artaxerxes II Inscription. Northeast of Susa, Loftus recognized the Apadāna of the Achaemenid palace. South of the Royal City, another very damaged building revealed a column base with a trilingual inscription (A2Sb) of Artaxerxes II (r. 404-359 BCE; Kent, Old Persian, p. 154; Lecoq, 1997, p. 273) which is not attested elsewhere. It was later retrieved by the Dieulafoys and is now in the Louvre Museum. Artaxerxes II was the oldest son of Darius II and Parysatis, thus a grandson of Artaxerxes I. His reign (405-04 to 359-58 B.C.) was the longest among the Achaemenids. When Darius II died in 405-04 B.C., Artaxerxes was appointed king in accordance with his father’s wish.
    4. The Discovery of The Royal Palace of Susa. The Royal palace of Susa was built by Esther’s royal father-in-law Darius I, known to history as Darius the Great. Darius constructed Susa as a winter capital of the Persian empire, here he constructed a massive 12-acre terrace upon which he built his monumental palace connected to the city of Susa by a large gate known in Esther as the King’s Gate (Esther 2:19). To access the palace compound, one would have to cross a bridge over a river and walk through the King’s Gate and into a large courtyard outside of the palace. This system of the Palace complex being separated from the city proper is reflected in the book of Esther that distinguishes between the city of Susa and the Citadel of Susa that should be identified as the Palace complex (Esther 3:15).
Inside the palace, the royal banquet hall (known as the Apadana) has been identified. It was a pillared room whose elaborately decorated columns were 65 feet tall.[1] This banquet hall saw the infamous feast of Xerxes when he drunkenly requested queen Vashti’s presence (Esther 1), it also was a main place of Nehemiah’s work as cupbearer to King Artaxerxes (Nehemiah 2). The very spot of the king’s throne in this banquet hall has been identified by its stone base centred between the pillars of the room.
The Palace itself was organized in a more Babylonian style incorporating three main courtyards that created a grand walkway through the palace on the way to the King’s throne room. These courtyards would have been decorated with stone reliefs and glazed bricks, and they were separated by guard houses. The book of Esther indicates that the outer courtyard was the place the Royal officials would come with their business and wait to be summoned by the king, as Haman providentially did (Esther 6:4).
So their are various writings confirming the Book of Esther and these are the Antiquities of the Jews by Josephus, the Apocryphal book of Tobit, and the Targum. Archeological discoveries also mentioned above also point to the truth about the Book of Esther. What is untrue, bias and lies is what is written in the Qur'an.

I would probably trust his French a lot more than his English (or Arabic)

Imran was the father of Moses, Aaron and Miriam but NOT the Virgin Mary….her father was Jaockim and he lived about 1,500 years after Imran. In the Roman Catholic, Orthodox, and Anglican traditions, Saint Joachim was the husband of Saint Anne and the father of Mary, the mother of Jesus. The story of Joachim and Anne appears first in the apocryphal Gospel of James. Joachim and Anne are not mentioned in the Bible.

    Hi again mr Elmasri!
Dr Luxemburg believes that the traditionalist might be right when it comes to the Sister of Aaron and the Mary Surah. He believes the title to be a comparison with the "moral" behavior of Aaron’s sister, who (like her mother) was not a "whore".
There is a possibility that ”the syster of Aaron” could be a dishonorary title that Mary’s people gave her in the sense of ” syster of the Samiri” or ”the Sister of the Missguided One” like son of a B.
In 4:156 the Quran is accusing the People of Israel of uttering a gross lie against Mary and this could be a direct reference to the syster of Aaron or the syster of the Samiri.
”They are condemned) for disbelieving and uttering about Mary a gross lie.”

The video you were responding to really did not justify the effort, of itself, either by its argumentation or its method and acting. It was a risible piece of da'wah, a very poor apology for apologetics. His method is that of many da’i, to act as if assertion were of itself proof, and that opposition is the same as refutation. His affected gestures of disrespect and disdain were wholly unconvincing-as if taking a drink were an insult; it’s not the action when, for example Nick Freitas does it-it’s the whole way he does it, like Pierre Poilièvre eating his apple at the reporter he humiliated. This feeble da’i goes through the motions without any evidence of understanding what the motions are supposed to achieve.

Seems like everything is hypothetical. None of you guys were there when it happened.
One relies on the words of God while the other relies on the words of the Godless. If you rely on the words of God, you can be saved from errors as God is merciful but if you rely on the words of the Godless you and none other than yourself is to be blamed for the errors or misinterpretation. Think before it is too late!

What you just explained is known as Pascal's wager, which is not true btw.
Also, it is not just words. I am Egyptian. I grew up in Egypt and I knowy history and monuments well. I know for a fact that the Egyptians never built highrise with clay! That's no one's words!

Quran says Bibi Mariyam was guided by Allah for not speak, when she came back to her people they asked sister of Harun, your father was not a corrupt person and your mother was not a whore but you have done a blunder. Sura Mariyam verse 27 and 28. It’s narrated in Hadith Muslim Sharif 2135 and in Tirmiji 3155 when a follower of Hazrat Muhammad (SA) named Mugira sent to Christians they asked in Quran why it is mentioned that Bibi Mariyam was the sister of Harun? Mugira didn’t know the answer and asked Hazrat Muhammad (SA) about it. He replied at that time it was a tradition of Bani Israilis to named as the prophets. Basically Hazrat Harun (A) brother of Hazrat Musa (A) and Bibi Mariyam’s brother Harun was not the same man.
