Muslims believed that the quran is unchanged and there are no variants.
    This is not true.
Did you know that the official version of the quran was only finalised in 1924 in Cairo, Egypt? And only officially canonized in 1985 in Saudi Arabia?
Scholars know that there are several versions of the quran, but the average muslim does not. Why?
The 2 most widely used versions in existence today are the Hafs and Warsh versions. (Others are Qalun, Al Susi, Ibn Kathir, Abi Ja'far, Ibn Jamaz, Ya'quub, Al-Duri, Khalaf, Al Qisai, Ibn Amir, Abu Amar, Al Bazi etc)
Is yours a Hafs or Warsh version?
Look at the first verse of sura al-fatihah. If there is a number “1” after the Bismillah verse, then you have the Hafs version.
If not, you have the Warsh version.
The few knowledgeable muslims who are aware of the existence of these 2 different versions will say there are very minor differences, mainly vocal variations.
    Again this is not true.
Here are a couple of examples of text variants that can be found in the Arabic Hafs and Warsh that show that the quranic text and meaning itself has been altered!
2:125 in Hafs is وَاتَّخِذوْا “WatakhIzu” (You shall take) / In Warsh it is وَاتَّخَذوْا “WatakhAzu” (They have taken/made).
In 2:125 One version gives a command, while the other states a historical observation.
    Another one:
3:146 in Hafs is قاتل “Qatal” (Fought) / In Warsh it is ُقتل “Qutil” (Were Killed).
In 3:146 the difference is between a prophet and those with him being killed, while in the other the difference only means that they fought by his side.
There’s more: Look up 2:85, 15:8, 21:4, 33:68, 42:30, 48:17 in both these versions and see for yourself.
In fact, if you study futher, you will find that number of verses in Hafs is 6236, while Warsh has only 6214 verses.
Were you aware of this? Probably not. Why not?
Which is the right version? Hafs or Warsh?
Didn’t allah say that he will preserve his word? (sura 15:9)
Who managed to change his words and cause allah to break his promise?
The number of hadith collected and attributed to prophet Muhammed is in the hundreds of thousands, as much as 700,000. Let us now look at some of the famous hadith collectors and what they collected.
    (1) Malik Ibn Anas collected about 500 hadith in his famous book, Al-Muwattaa.
    (2) Ahmed Ibn Hanbal, collected about 40,000 hadith, in his famous Musnad. He chose these 40,000 hadith from among 700,000 hadith. In other words he thought 660,000 hadith were un-proven, lies and/or fabrications and the others may be authentic. That is, 94% were lies and fabrications.
    (3) Bukhari collected about 600,000 hadith. He accepted 7275 hadith and considered 592,725 hadith to be un-proven hadith, lies and/or fabrications. In other words, 99% of what he collected were considered unauthentic.
    (4) Muslem collected 300,000 hadith. He accepted 4000 of them and rejected 296,000, that is, almost 99% were rejected.
This gives us an idea of how much corruption entered or tried to enter Islam from the back door.

We certainly know what We have made obligatory upon them concerning their wives and those their right hands possess, [but this is for you] in order that there will be upon you no discomfort. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
*[**33:51**]* You, [O Muhammad], may put aside whom you will of them or take to yourself whom you will. And any that you desire of those [wives] from whom you had [temporarily] separated - there is no blame upon you [in returning her]. That is more suitable that they should be content and not grieve and that they should be satisfied with what you have given them - all of them. And Allah knows what is in your hearts. And ever is Allah Knowing and Forbearing.
*[**33:52**]* Not lawful to you, [O Muhammad], are [any additional] women after [this], nor [is it] for you to exchange them for [other] wives, even if their beauty were to please you, except what your right hand possesses.
      *Sahih al-Bukhari 4138*
We went out with Allah’s Apostle for the invasion of Bun Al-Mustaliq and we received captives from among the Arab captives and we desired women and celibacy became hard on us and we loved to do coitus interruptus [same as "azl" above]. So when we intended to do coitus interruptus, we said: "How can we do coitus interruptus before asking Allah’s Apostle who is present among us? We asked (him) about it and he said: "It is better for you not to do so, for if any soul till the Day of Resurrection is predestined to exist, it will exist."
*Sahih Muslim Book 8 Hadith 3371*
      Abu Sirma said to Abu Sa'id al Khadri (Allah he pleased with him): 0 Abu Sa'id, did you hear Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) mentioning al-'azl? He said: Yes, and added: We went out with Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) on the expedition to the Bi'l-Mustaliq and took captive some excellent Arab women;
      and we desired them, for we were suffering from the absence of our wives, (but at the same time) we also desired ransom for them. So we decided to have sexual intercourse with them but by observing 'azl (Withdrawing the male sexual organ before emission of semen to avoid-conception). But we said: We are doing an act whereas Allah's Messenger is amongst us;
why not ask him? So we asked Allah's Mes- senger (Peace be upon him), and he said: It does not matter if you do not do it, for every soul that is to be born up to the Day of Resurrection will be born.

Thanks for a clear and straightforward argument- as an ex-Muslim myself, I think the best way to convince Muslims of problems with the Quran is with clear historical evidence like this from Muslim history
It’s important not to ascribe malice and ill intent to these arguments- a lot of Christian polemics are presented in a condescending and ignorant and bullying fashion, but you present your arguments clearly and emphatically and as an Arabic speaker and someone who has done research
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence and the Quran makes the most extraordinary claim of all human books that it is of Divine Origin from the Creator of the Universe and to believe that claim Muslims MUST be willing to critically and skeptically scrutinize it and it’s history
Unfortunately human nature and identity issues makes that extremely difficult but it’s good to see videos like this - keep it up!

And......."Allah" established Islam. Which of these 2 would be true?
      1. God was just boasting, falsely claiming that He knows the future when actually He doesn't. He didn't expect what would happen and was forced to change His mind, and as "Allah" commanded people to follow Muhammad.
      2. Truly God knows the future that He will not change His mind. And "Allah" of Islam is not the God of Abraham. When it became apparent who "the offspring" was, Jesus Christ, because though the Romans tried to stop Christianity for two hundred years by pers•cut•ng and k•lng the early Christians, they failed, and were used instead to spread CHRISTianity faster and farther TO THE NATIONS OF THE WORLD,....."Allah" demoted/overshadowed Jesus, and mislead the people to follow instead an Ishmaelite, "to be blessed", KNOWING that God said it will NOT be through Ishmael, Genesis 21:12. As a natively arabic speaker, I was fortunate to have direct access to the original sources of Islamic religious books and witnessed the chaos and confusion in understanding and interpreting the verses of the Quran. Non-Arab Muslims are far removed from all of this because their relationship with these books inevitably passes through the filter of devout Muslim translators. What reaches non-Muslims is a single interpretation of a verse. They do not know that sometimes there are more than ten different interpretations, clearly indicating the confusion in understanding the verse. This is in addition to the many incorrect words, strange phrases, and missing sentences in the Quran. Moreover, Muslim scholars even disagree on the number of abrogated verses. Arab Muslim apologists are professional in their work. I advise non-Muslims to read only Al-Tabari's interpretation and nothing else in terms of commentary.

You stand mistaken..allow me to correct you
    1) You quoted a narration where Ubayy Bin Kaab mentions that Suratul Ahzab was as long as surah Baqarah and it contained the verses of stoning.
What you failed to mention was that surahs were not named during the time of the Prophet and were not placed in the Quran in the order it was revealed to Muhammad. So it could very well be that Ubayy bin Kab was mistaken in attributing many large portions of different surahs to be part of this one Surah (Ahzab) thus thinking it to be as big as Surah Baqarah. Notice he never said the verses were missing, rather he's saying that this particular surah as he remembered it was as long as another surah. Ubayy bin Kaab was one of 15 scribes to write down the verses of the Quran and he had his own Mushaf. Why didn't he bring his manuscript forward to tell the others "these are the other missing verses." It didn't happen because the other scribes like Zaid bin Thabit etc explained to him what the Prophet instructed in the order and sequence of revelation and what verses were abrogated in reading but not in practice etc. Also majority of the time, the number of verses in a surah were not set in stone during the time of Muhammad. The Quran was an oral scripture..every pause heard while reading can be either perceived as a "new verse" or a pause within a long verse. This officially numbered verses came about long after.
    2) Thanks for proving our point: Huzaifah said, "But then I FORGOT 70 verses and I could never find it" why couldn't he find it existing with anyone? Because Allah says in Quran, "We do not abrogate a verse or cause it to be FORGOTTEN except that We bring forth better than it or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah is competent over all things." [2:106]. So this is why these companions could not recall, remember and bring forward these verses. God Almighty, ever true to his promise caused them to be forgotten.
    3) Ayesha saying that surah Ahzab was 200 verses during the Prophet's time..wait..I thought it was as long as Surah Baqarah which contains 286 verses? Again, simply, these verses were not codified and numbered. She's remembering the Quran as an oral recited scripture so what she or Ubayy bin Kab considered to be one long verse could in fact have been 2 or 3 short verses (and vice versa) thus accounting of her number of 200 verses. Added to that was the reality of abrogation, that would cause those companions who memorized it to forget those specific verses. Adam says that its illogical to assume that 213 verses or 5% (wrong, its actually 3.4%) of the Quran were abrogated but if we look at the Quran as a practical guide that took a period 23 years to be revealed, then this concept isn't farfetched.
4)You said that Uthman tried his best to "find" these 70 lost verses? Very dishonest of you. By the time he was the Caliph, the Quran was already compiled by the renowned experts of the Quran including the same Ubayy bin Kaab, Abdullah bin Masood and Zaid bin Thabit. Uthman only had to take the Mushaf compiled by Abu Bakr 4 years before. Also, it is a well established historical fact that Umar placed the same Ubayy bin Kaab (during his first Ramadhan as caliph) as the Hafiz to lead the Muslims in 20 Rakaat Taraweeh. What Quran did he recite? Why didn't anyone oppose his "Quran of extra verses" that he recited? The reality is, after the conpanions came together to compile the Mushaf, all of them were in full agreement as to what the Quran was. This fully supports the narrative of 'Tawaatur' continous, generational chain of the Quran being passed down.
    5) Ayesha saying that the goat ate the verses of Quran proves what what we've been saying all along. The verses eaten and erased were those of adult breastfeeding and stoning of the adulterer. Which according to all the scholars and companions were abrogated from the Quran. No one debated about these issues. Stop with the deception. Adam says some remembered the verse some didnt..no what they remembered was it being part of the Quran at one time, but they forgot the actual wordings of the verses like all other abrogated verses Allah caused to forget.
6)Abduallah bin Masood did not have 3 surahs in his Mushaf -the opening chapter (Al Fatiha) and the final 2 surahs Falaq and Nas. If he didn't think of them as part of the Quran, then how did he pray Salah? Because reciting the Fatiha is essential for the acceptance of prayer. Obviously, it means that these surahs were so commonly known and memorized there was no need to have them included in his personal Quran. Everyone knows that Muawwazatain (Surah Falaq and Nas) are the cures of the Quran against black magic.
    7) The hadith in Muslim speaking about the verse that a companion forgot and remembered it went like this, "if the son of Adam had two valleys of gold.." Either Adam doesn't know or he's hiding the truth; the companion mixed up this verse with a hadith of the Prophet Muhammad. He thought it was from Quran but wasn't.
    8) "People are swearing by Allah to each other about the verses they received from the Prophet." Most likely what they heard was a dua (supplication) or statement from the Prophet and included it as part of the Quran. As evidence from the hadith of Muslim. This is why the council of the Quran was developed after the Rasool passed away, to evaluate, analyze and scrutinize every verse to bring a consensus of the Quran.
In conclusion, its easy to pick apart a few isolated statements here and there to discredit the Quran, but when we look at the facts of 1)Abrogation 2)The Quran only existing orally during Muhammad's time and not standardized with names of surahs and official number of verses 3) There were Huffaz (memorizers of the Quran) who existed within Muhammad's time 4) some companions mixing up supplications, hadiths and abrogated verses as Quran 5) A council was formed to scrutinize and officially pen every verse thereby correcting the misconceptions and misheard recited elements that were present among some of the companions 6)The Quran being recited in its entirety every Ramadhan for 14 centuries and being memorized during Muhammad's lifetime until today.

Just being able to speak and understand Arabic does not make one a Quran scholar,Adam displayed his ignorance by simply understanding difference in length of a Surah by simply comparing number of verses, and he simply subtracted 73 verses from 286 to wrongly jump into conclusion that 213 were missing or omitted from ahzab, that's sincerely laughable, firstly, the time when ahzab was as long as baqara, the whole of baqara has not been fully revealed and the Quran was meticulously preserved that even the versification, arrangement of surahs, way of recitation was done and preserved by Allah. The two sahabs were not debating, they both acknowledge the length of ahzab as the appropriate length.
Adam was even trying to give the impression that once verses with a single among thousands of sahabs, once the verses are forgotten, missing or eaten by domesticated animal then that means all the thousands sahabs too suddenly don't have the verses anymore, that's very laughable.Sincere seekers of truth should read how the committee of zayd ibn thabit strictly compiled the Quran while thousands of sahabs have the whole Quran in their memories and written down and one of the evident miracle of this book till today is that it's the only religious book of that size that's being memorized word for word by millions of people,no reasonable person can argue that.

Hi Adam, we know that Ubay bin Kaab was one of the 4 people the prophet recommended regarding revelation. Ubay bin Kaab had his own mushaf which had a different number of chapters and perhaps a different order of verses.
The conversation between Ubay bin Kaab and Imam Ahmad was Ubay bin Kaab's attempt to find out how the Utsman mushaf was then agreed to be the standard. Ubay seemed to want to know what the final version of the Utsman mushaf was like during Imam Ahmad's time.
Ubay asked Imam Ahmad, who I suspect was younger and familiar with the Utsman mushaf. What Ubay bin Kaab conveyed to Imam Ahmad was information regarding his version of Surah Al Ahzab, which had more verses than the one in the Utsman mushaf. But do we immediately conclude that many verses are missing? It is possible that those verses were placed in other surahs in the Utsman mushaf based on an agreement to standardize the compilation of revelation (the Quran). This could happen considering that there is no information comparing the number of verses in the Ubay bin Kaab mushaf surah with the Utsman mushaf.
Let's imagine, would the collection committee allow the 200 or so revelations in Ubay bin Kaab's mushaf to disappear? Meanwhile, Umar's intention for compiling revelations was so that the revelations would not be lost because the memorizer died.
My assumption is that, there are no known revelations that were omitted from being collected. The only difference is the difference in the way the verses are arranged in the surahs and mushaf.
Compiling revelations in a book is indeed a human effort. It may not be 100% perfect. However, it was the best effort of the companions to preserve revelation based on their love to revelation. And after being standardized by Utsman, it never changed again.

Here are some examples of notable differences between the modern Qur'an (1924 Cairo edition) and early Uthmanic manuscripts. While many of these differences are minor, they provide insight into the textual variations observed over time.
    Orthographic Variations:
The use of different scripts and orthographic conventions can be seen. For example, in early manuscripts, the word for "be" (kun) might be written without the vowel marks that are present in the Cairo edition.
    Diacritical Marks:
Early Uthmanic manuscripts did not use diacritical marks, which indicate vowels. This led to different possible readings of the text. For example, the word "فتبينوا" (fatabayyanu) in Surah 49:6 in the Cairo edition, meaning "verify," could be read as "فتثبتوا" (fatathabbatu), meaning "ascertain," in early manuscripts without diacritical marks.
    Word Variations:
In some cases, there are differences in specific words. For instance:
Surah 2:132 in the Cairo edition has "ووصى" (wa-awṣā, "and he enjoined"), whereas some early manuscripts have "وأوصى" (wa-awṣā, "and he enjoined") without the waw at the beginning.
    Additional Words:
In Surah 33:6, the Cairo edition includes "وأزواجه أمهاتهم" (wa-azwājuhu ummahātuhum, "and his wives are their mothers"). Some early manuscripts do not have this phrase, indicating it might have been a marginal note that was later incorporated into the text.
    Differences in Recitations (Qira'at):
The Cairo edition primarily follows the Hafs 'an 'Asim recitation. Other recitations, like Warsh 'an Nafi', have different vowelization and, occasionally, word forms. For example:
Surah 1:4 is read as "ملك يوم الدين" (Maliki yawmi ad-din, "Master of the Day of Judgment") in the Warsh recitation, whereas the Cairo edition reads it as "مالك يوم الدين" (Maliki yawmi ad-din, "King of the Day of Judgment").
These examples highlight the types of variations found between the Cairo edition and earlier manuscripts or different recitation traditions. While they do not usually change the overall meaning significantly, they do demonstrate that the text of the Qur'an has undergone standardization processes over time.

There is a strong claim that Islam is not an original religion; but rather, it is a deviation - a departure, or an off shoot from True Christianity. Sahih al-Bukhari 3617 narrated Anas: “There was a Christian who embraced Islam and read Surat-al-Baqarah and Al-‘Imran (Quran chapters two and three), and he used to write (revelations) for the prophet. Later, he returned to Christianity again and he used to say: ‘Mohammed knows nothing, but what I have written for him.’ Then Allah caused him to die, and the people buried him, but in the morning, they saw that the earth had thrown his body out.”
    *
There are several verses of the Quran that suggest Islam’s non-originality: Quran 16:103 reads, “We know indeed that they say, ‘It is a man that teaches him…’” Quran 25:04 reads, “Naught, is this but a lie which he has forged, and other have helped him at it.” Quran 25:5 reads, “And they say, “Tales of the ancient, which he has caused to be written: and they dictated before him morning and evening.” [Also see Q. 6:25, Q. 8:31, Q. 9:61]
    *
These accounts from Islamic sources may explain why the Quran is filled with Christian (or Jewish) lectionaries, fables, and bed-time stories such as “Ants speaking to King Solomon” in Quran 27: 18-19. It also brings into doubts that Allah, the local god of the Arabian desert migratory (travelling) tribes, could not have written the Quran on tablets in the eternity past, before creation.

Verily I say unto you that if the truth had not been erased from the book of Moses, God would not have given to David our father the senond. And if the book of David had not been contaminated, God would not have committed the Gospel to me; seeing that the Lord our God is unchangeable, and hath spoken but one message to all men. Wherefore, when the messenger of God shall come, he shall come to cleanse away all wherewith the ungodly have contaminated my book'.
Then answered he who writeth: `O Master, what shall a man do when the law shall be found contaminated and the false prophet shall speak?'
Jesus answered: `Good is thy question; wherefore I tell thee that in such a time few are saved, seeing that men do not consider their end, which is God. As God liveth in whose presence my soul standeth, every doctrine that shall turn man aside from his end, which is God, is most evil doctrine. Wherefore there are three things that thou shalt consider in doctrine - namely, love towards God, pity towards one's neighbour, and hatred towards thyself, who hast offended God, and offendest him every day.

I left Islam and became a Christian for two reasons.
First: due to the presence of abrogated verses in the Quran which is called Nasekh and Mansukh . Allah deleted some of the verses in Quran that were revealed earlier and replaced them with new verses.
If this claim is true, God is not all-knowing and omnipotent as Muslims claim, and evolves with time, or the verses of the Qur'an are created by Muhammad's mind. Second: Satan has the power to disguise himself as he disguised himself as a snake and deceived Adam and Eve. How do I know that the devil did not disguise himself as the Angel Gabriel and did not deceive Muhammad? Unparalleled cutting of arms and legs of nonbelievers and trampling of women and buying and selling of slaves cannot be from God who is called to be : Kind, Compassionate , forgiving and merciful.

The modern Qur'an (1924 Cairo edition) has about 2,000 differences. These are minor and do not significantly alter the meaning, but the idea of perfect preservation is incorrect. Islamic scholars use the term "essentially identical," not "identical." The historical evidence shows that the Qur'an, like other ancient texts, has experienced some variations over time.

in the recitation of ‘Aasim from Ibn Mas‘ood the Mi‘wadhatayn are confirmed (as part of the Qur’an). This recitation is saheeh and was narrated soundly (via saheeh isnaads) from Ibn Mas‘ood. So this only proves that initially he used to deny they were part of the Qur’an, but when it became clear to him that they are part of the Qur’an, he wrote them in his Mushaf and recanted his earlier opinion.
