Hey Peggy! Love the Calathea I’ve never ever dared to touch one :) Just a note, at 4:35 you mention leaving tap water out to let the minerals and chlorine evaporate. While chlorine does evaporate/gas off after ~24 HRs, the minerals do not evaporate out. They stay dissolved in the water. These are easily removed with your Zero filter you mentioned!! Take care :)
I had a maxblue which i got on Amazon but now the replacement filters are so expensive. Ive now got a brita but i dont think this type get rid of the fluoride? Does fluoride also evaporate if left out do you know please?
Best of luck. I intended to transplant mine into LECA but it's been doing so well in soil, I haven't made the switch. I hope whatever you decide to do works well for you!
Good video you touched all the bases wish I could find self watering pots at Lowe’s or my local nursery I don’t shop online don’t have internet thanks for the info
I am finding that this plant is more hardy than I realized. I water mine when the leaves begin to droop a bit. In fact, I have let my Orb dry out completely and it still bounced back. I wouldn't suggest that, but I was surprised that it didn't die. It's not as finicky as I have found most Calatheas to be. Best of luck in figuring out what works for yours. I'm pulling for you!🌿💚

Mine is turning yellow and brown. I don’t think I got the water down yet in a plastic pot. I’m so use to terracotta

it would depend on the environment where you live. I grow mine indoors.
