- Delta Delta Delta!! I love them, but also have to keep it real. Premium Select runs at almost a $1000 USD premium over a standard economy ticket on this route, and I'm not sure it's worth it. Come along as I fly from my home airport of Seattle to Tokyo-Haneda, and let's see what Premium Select is all about!
P.S. Sorry for the trash GoPro takeoff and landing video quality!! I didn't have it set to 5k, but i fixed it now!! 😭
Thank you for watching!!

Delta’s International product and PRICING is RIDICULOUS!
It definitely can be a bit absurd at times!!! Always looking for a deal with Delta.
great vid as always! always a relaxing watch, thanks for being so thorough
Thank you thank youuu! And thanks for watching! 🙏🏼😊
Very thorough review, as always! Great hack with the headphones 🎧 can’t wait for Air Canada! 🇨🇦
Thanks for watching, Lena! What’s your favorite airline?
@@jett.fueledI love Delta myself!!
Although I will fly premium select again, I would also say, NO it is not worth the money in the literal sense. Ticket prices are 2 or 3 times as much as regular economy and it is not 3 times better. However, I do like the extra space and the seats. They make traveling a bit more relaxed and I am willing to pay (too much) for that ;) great review, thanks
Agree completely! They also just announced they're refreshing the dining experience in PS so it will make it a bit more worth it imo. Thank you for watching!
Awesome👍Flight review here, nicely presented and very well explained too., i'd be tempted to try premium on any airline re long haul travel but usually just settle for economy on the shorter flight routes!.✈
Thank you for watching!!
Anything over seven or eight hours is probably worth an upgrade just for the extra legroom. I try and travel Premium Economy when flying transatlantic to London from Miami.
Bulkhead in PS (or any premium economy really) is the way to go ~ especially after seeing how hard some of those seats recline into you. Having that much extra space is good.
Bulkhead is def the way to go! Especially with how your IFE screen gets displaced one that seat in front of you reclines 😂 thanks for watching!!
@@jett.fueled Exactly! I like that on the 767-400 and A330-900, they put in the IFE in the wall so it doesn't fold up from the seat like on the A330-200/300, 767-300(K) and A350.
Thank you for this video. I almost purchased ATL-HND in premium even though I had the same concerns. I think I’ll fly to LAX where there is much more product to choose from.
Thanks for watching! Yeah, you’ll certainly have more choice from LAX-lots of good stuff to choose from!!
I fly Delta a lot for regional business and get upgrade seats often. Have you ever gotten an upgrade on an international flight? Also, on this flight do you think comfort would be worth it vs economy? I'm looking at a trip later this year. Your video is very helpful!
Hi! Thanks for watching, and glad I could help! I’ve never gotten an upgrade on an international flight, but if you have status with delta you could potentially get upgraded from main cabin to comfort plus! I’m not sure comfort plus is necessarily worth any money, but if you need some extra legroom then it might be!
@@jett.fueled TY!
Nice i picked the same seat, also i got their prem select seat upgrade for only $325 SEA-ICN ❤ cant wait to fly delta
Woah! That’s a great deal, and definitely worth the $$$!! Thanks for watching, and hope you have a great flight!!
Ive found premium select experience varies for different routes. My select experience to Lisbon was MEH, but coming back was very very good. I am flying to ICN from Atlanta soon, my bulkhead PS seat will make it a better. I fly alone so I can get a round the person beside me easier than bothering them to move. I did bulkhead via comfort plus to ICN last time. I brought a blow up foot rest since there was no automatic foot rest. That made a difference. I might bring it to get a different angle if needed. Im petite so more lift us helpful. My PS ticket was about $500 above comfort+. If it was $1,000 I probably woukd not have opted and elected a bulkhead in +. I justified the extra bc it is a 15 hour 40 min flight. First class is still sitting at 3800 to upgrade, no way.
What i would like to know, how comfortable are the seats to sleep? Does it make any difference compared to economy vs comfort plus?
In my opinion, yes, they do make a difference. The recline in premium select is much better than in regular economy or economy plus. Also, even the foot rest was welcome, Even with me being 6'4" it was helpful, and relaxing to be able to get your feet off the ground a bit. I will fly premium select again. Service was not great on my AMS to JFK flight, with economy getting water before we did. No pre departure drinks for us! charging stations in seat didnt work. other than that it was fine
The seats are pretty comfy, and you will definitely appreciate the extra width for sleeping. That being said, if you can score a seat at the exit on an A330neo (row 42 on delta's NEOs!), you might be just as well off with the unlimited leg room! But if you care more about recline then Premium Select or Comfort+ are probably your best bet. I use aerolopa to look at seat maps to check legroom, super helpful too! www.aerolopa.com/dl-339
@@jett.fueled true! I dont know too much about aircraft types however I believe it was a 777 KLM which economy + bulkhead seats had way more leg room than its premium economy bulkhead seats
They have actually just upgraded the premium select service. You should give it another try
i see you were not given chopsticks on your flight. has anyone ever been given chopsticks on a delta flight to asia?
Last December flew Delta One into Haneda from LAX. I had opted for the Japanese meals. They gave me both chopsticks and western utensils.
DL premium economy its poor compare to Ameircan and United hope they improve because they give you same meal like economy
Cool video
The meal service used to include real dinnerware. For the price, I want all the things!
Same lol give me all the gizmos and gadgets! But they literally just brought real dinnerware back within the last month!! 😭😅 so I might have to give it another go and see if anything else has changed 🫣
I Have Experience Premium Select Los Angeles-Paris On A330-900neo,I Like The Product .Great Video
Oh wow, that’s a great flight to experience it on. Thanks so much for watching another one! ☺️
Thank you.
No biscoff cookies?? Come on Delta
They were available in the snack basket!!
Delta Premium Select is NOT worth it; when Delta Premium Select first came out it was, but it has been downgraded.
when Delta Premium Select first came out meals better than domestic first class and on ceramic. domestic connects were also in first class.
comfort plus as much better value.
I was hoping this would talk about how the seats are for SLEEPING. For me, that is the ONLY reason I would pay more money...I want a seat I can SLEEP in (vs in Coach, which is horrid). Sadly, this 'review' really said nothing about the ability to sleep, or not, with these seats.
So sorry, Lisa! I didn’t sleep much since it was a daytime flight. But I did note these seats give you a bit more room to spread out in, along with a leg rest and foot rest. You should definitely be a bit more comfy in these seats than in regular economy, and should be able to get some decent sleep with the additional recline. That being said, I’m not sure the added “comfort” is worth an extra $1000+ as I personally feel you could the same quality of sleep in a comfort plus seat in economy-just depends how much a few extra inches of seat width matters to you! Hope this helps, and sorry I missed this! Thanks for the helpful feedback ☺️🙏🏼
Ugh..
