      It's good for testing how websites will render on different browsers =)

    So is this essentially what a DLL is as well in a way? I understand .dll (Dynamic Link Library) file to be little pieces of compressed code that sits in the System32 folder which tells Windows how to operate certain commands. Example, when you press the Minimize button on a window, the OS knows what to do instead of the programmer writing the code to explicitly tell the OS Minimize does this, Maximize does this, X does this etc... Having the DLL already present, the coder doesn't have to worry about little minute details.

    Thank you for this, most of the way through learning C# and never really questioned what the Framework was, very helpful :D

      Dude.. I've been struggling for a year with my PC. Maybe more. Games run like shit. I tried everything. Bought new parts and everything.. Nothing worked. I was going insane. It really affected my mental health. I did literally everything that I could. Except for this, of course.. Today I ran a program called Tron. It said that I was missing net 3.5 and it did the installation for me. MY PC AND GAMES FINALLY WORK!!!!!!! This is insane. This thing has been eating me inside for so long now.

    so it's like a subroutine ?

    • @Simon-vc1wk
      @Simon-vc1wk 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it allows programmers to ask . Net to do something rather than write the code they need. Like a function call. Usually for Web applications or services.
