  • Sometimes combining two photos together can create a better final result than just one image alone. This week I’m showing you how to use Photoshop 2022 to blend two images, so that it looks like one realistic photograph. Primarily we will cover selection and masking tools, as well as the harmonization neural filter.

Always enjoy these "tricks of the trade" and the imagination and creativity to compose that "just right" image! Awesome! Bruce and Otis

Cheers Bruce. To be honest it's not something I do very often with my personal photos. I will do it quite often for work stuff though. Thanks for watching. 😊

Nice work on blending these. I saw this image on your IG and didn’t think it was 2 different images. Great work.

Thanks Paul. Glad you thought that - I'd looked at the image so long, I wasn't quite sure! Cheers for watching. 😊

Great tutorial Robert. I have a hard time working with content aware fill so I was glad to see you cover that part of it. Great final image and the capture of the lion is just amazing!

Thanks a lot Paul. I thought the content aware fill would work much better on the grass than it did - it can be hit and miss. It's an awesome tool when it works though! Thanks for watching mate, hope all is good.

Thanks for the video Robert. It was very helpful. I am always interested in learning how to post process better and I learned somethings that I had I didn't realize you could do in Photoshop. The blended image definitely looked better.

That's great Walter, if a photographer as good as yourself can get something out of this video, I'm happy with that. Thanks for watching. 😊

Hi Robert, always nice to see how others approach post processing , the final result speaks for itself , its GRREAT! sorry that was PAW sorry ! The original image was a nicely timed capture in itself but with the post work , it polished it off nice. I agree with your opinion on composites like this as long as all the elements are your own work then the final image is all your own . Nice tutorial hope your well, take care.

at 3:07 I can't make out what you are sayingbro For us who don't know much on how to operate a PC makes it hard to understand how you got the first pic in the app so it fit so perfect on the screen cause everytime I bring in a pic file it doesn't auto fit like that

Great stuff Robert. By the time your were done it looked like you'd been on safari in Africa. Some great tips there but sadly for me I need to upgrade my PC to run PS2022 - I'm still stuck in last year!

Cheers Andrew. With the cost of an Adobe subscription these days, it may have been cheaper to go to Namibia and get the shot! 😂
