Lot of over-generalization, but I do agree that research papers and conferences are the most important part of PhD program. Your eulogizing approach to your advisor must have worked wonders, and in many cases, is the best approach to working with advisors. I am glad that you found an ideal advisor, and succeeded. I am not sure how it works. Usually PhD is a full time committed program. Anything else may not be an effective program that trains you to be a researcher. The PhD program should have nothing to do with your employer. Go for a funded full time PhD

yes, nearly all PhD programs require you to teach, in some programs you get paid extra to teach. In some programs teaching is a required portion to get your doctoral stipend

If a person has completed his Mtech from IISc in Mechanical Engineering along with decent publications, will he get accepted for PhD programme at top US universities if the bachelor's GPA is not so good. (GPA is masters is great...say its 7.6 out of 8)

God bless you, but only one thing i want to tell you here is , please indian men you are smart and worked hard to reach this position, but please don’t marry less educated , innocent, ignorant indian girl, because when you bring her here , she cannot adjust to this society and get equal qualification like you or earn like you or compete like you and even may not do anything, then you will start criticizing , insulting ,shaming her then abuse starts , so smart men please get married some one of your same status and qualifications , who are also well settled like you and earn like you, even many american women also that qualities and they are independent too , only this kind of women can be good for you , even for your smart and challenging brain.
I do not get emails on my official email that are sent from public domains like gmail or yahoo. They get sent to junk and get deleted. Only official emails come to my inbox. Moreover, I get 200 messages a day now. I started corresponding with a few of them quickly to realize that each person wants a lot of time and repeatedly so. That is the reason I no longer respond to emails. Not because I don't want to but because I am a full time professional with a very demanding research oriented job. I do not earn on TH-cam and I am not a full time TH-camr like many others are. I have numerous deadlines to meet with my fellow researchers and therefore, make videos only between the small gap of when I complete work on one project and about to start work on another. I will easily lose my job if I start one-to-one communication with people via emails and start spending time on such activities. Hope you understand. That is the reason, I created a discussion chain in the community section where people can post questions. Please post your question there, and I will be happy to answer it in one of my future videos. Currently I have 1900+ messages on a variety of platforms. I am not a career counselor.
