    I’ve had about 20-30 games with my Yargle and Multani deck, here’s what I found out:
    - You’re gonna be the arch enemy. Just accept it.
    - Once Yargle and Multani are on the battlefield, the game starts revolving around this card. No exceptions.
    - Having many Snakeskin Veil effects is worse than having enough mana to cast Yargle and Multani 3 times in a row. Big mana rocks like Thran Dynamo are your friends here.
    - A special shout out to Lotus Bloom. Just look it up.
    - Some more cards to look up: Windswift Slice, Freelance Muscle, Embiggen (yes, it’s legal), Vines of Vastwood, Not Of This World, Avoid Fate, Netherborn Altar, Charge Through.
    - Haste and trample are very, very relevant. I’m looking forward to give Yargle and Multani Monster Role once I have the cards.
    - Having Yargle and Multani online before turn 6 practically guarantees you’re gonna defeat at least one player, and you’re gonna do it soon.
    - Giving Yargle and Multani lifelink and gaining at least 18 life every swing is hilarious. It’s not gonna win you games right away. Instead, it’s gonna create games that make you love Magic more.
    It’s a surprise and a pity to me that this deck is not extremely popular.

      @@TheGuyPaddylongname It's pretty focused and fast for a casual deck, yet fragile. It's capable to defeat one or two players in a single turn, but it's vulnerable to removal and doesn't do much against combos. Other than that, it's great and a lot of fun to play!

    Yargle is so underrated. People don’t realise that there is a difference between just a vanilla creature with great stats like 3/3 for 1 mana and 18 power. It is so much power that you literally one shot people with 1 aura or pun spell or make 18 tokens or smh. Its’s like when people ask your wish and you say billion dollars they don’t realise that it’s not just money - it’s the entire life you change, you can get so much with it, freedom, opportunities, ability to make a world a better places The amount matters, boys and girls.

    For those confused why the link is 100 bucks the default pricing on the link is card kingdom which is going to be higher than 45 dollars. To get in the neighborhood of 45 dollars you are going to have to find a lowest condition option from one of the websites and work from there. My secret santa work group built 40 dollar decks for each other using this method and generally all the cards were near mint but the bulkiest least attractive versions lol.

    For those of you clicking this video 10 months later:
    The budget list is missing Hedron Archive.
    The Budget list rose in price like an hour after Prof posted it, so the budget list is around $70. You can save money by getting the cheapest prints and (potentially) poorer condition and you can probably reduce the price down to like $50.
    If you've done any collecting, a lot of the cards are fairly easy to have obtained passively over the years. I feel like everyone has spare sol rings, swiftfoot boots, signets etc so the REAL budget part is forcing yourself to dig through your collections and find pieces you may already have, even if the cards you know you have are pennies on the dollar.
    Upgraded list:
    The price is listed at like $450, but the format lists the cuts (and their price) and additions with their price, so reduce that price by like $30 or so and you'll have the actual price. again using cheapest printings and potential lower quality and your deck *will* be cheaper but not by a whole lot. if you have the "budget" version already built then itll cost you about $200 to upgrade. Fortunately for me i bought a playset of parallel lives WAY back when they were like $10~ each, so i still have one and i have a spare demonic tutor, so if i upgrade the base list it wont cost me that much.

    Just an FYI for anyone building the deck, Geode Golem doesn't let you skip paying commander tax, and does cause the commander tax to go up. It's not an inclusion I particularly like, as given that 5 mana value and 3 toughness, you're likely only going to net 1 total mana saved before it dies in combat.

    • @Ellert00
      @Ellert00 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Sad but true, this ruling is pretty unfortunate, Geode Golem doesn't seem so great after learning that.

    • @HakureiIllusion
      @HakureiIllusion ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@allamericannonamerican7658 That is the best-case scenario for Geode Golem (aside from the astronomically-unlikely situation where it gets through to cast Yargle multiple times without committing extra cards to helping it through), but even in that case I'd rather just run another piece of ramp.
      On a typical commander game curve, you'd ideally play a ramp spell or mana rock on either turn 2 or 3 (potentially both but let's say for a more average scenario you're only looking at one piece of ramp), get out Geode Golem turn 4, swing in with it turn 5 (most likely scenario here is you have a clear enough attack on someone to trample through for at least 1 damage, but not clear enough to keep it alive in the process), and untap with Yargle and all your mana on turn 6. With an extra piece of ramp in Geode Golem's deck slot, the same situation would let you ramp turn 2 AND 3, get out Yargle turn 4, and then untap with Yargle on turn 5 alongside the added bonus of the extra mana you'll have for the rest of the game thanks to the extra ramp compared to having a Geode Golem in your graveyard.
      Yes not having access to Geode Golem's free cast means you'll likely need to leave Yargle vulnerable for a turn to untap with it, but I feel that if your opponents are already that scared of letting Yargle sit on the field for a single turn, they could just as easily point their answers toward Geode Golem as well and force you to tap out to hard-cast Yargle anyway.

    May I recommend a childhood favourite of mine, Dragon Throne of Tarkir? You build a boardstate, staple the throne to Yargle and swing in for a bunch

    It's nice to use six mana one time to get a already pumped up commander. It's like passing over all the auras and equipment other decks add on to even get close to 18 in power. One Demonic Embrace or whatever +3/something and we are good to go kill someone. Just protect it and smash. Or make a bunch of tokens or draw cards according to power, get them into the graveyard and bring them back again. Super fun!

    This deck looked very cool, but when I clicked on the $45 list, it said it only had 99 cards, and I double counted. I was amped to buy the deck, so I'm not sure what the 100th card that was missing is.

    Looks fun! Very surprised not to see Greater Good in this deck though, at least in the upgrades section. Sac the commander for a net 15 card gain? Yes please! Still fairly cheap these days too at around the $3 mark.

  • @mariksebastianishtarthethi6998

    I just built it monday, very similar to this on, a mix of the base and upgraded version. No paralel lives but selvala, heart of the wilds, no triumph of the hoards but mana reflection, no ibex but exanguinate. And i put a worldly tutor, but that one is totally unecesary with the amount of cards you draw.
