The Napoli is always my first recommendation. And set it up for secondaries imoho. I pretty much agree with your list. The Sharn is a good ship. The Kersarge is fun now and again and the dd's are all good that you mentioned.
Anhalt is criminally underrated, the ammount of guns on it easily overpowers the fact that they are 350mm. The ship is quite slow at 29 knots but tbh, I like it that way cause it gives you more time to think about your moves. + you got 20k dmg torps with 6km range which means brawling isnt a big problem.
Tromp is a blast since I bought it so I HIGHLY recommend it. If you are a good player Kearsarge is godlike and if you prefer a DD Groningen is a must. I would have bought Groningen but I wanted the unique experience of the Tromp. My next buy would be Kearsarge when I finally get the coal again. I think unique ships are the best if you going to spend coal or steel because we have very strong tech tree ships already. Great video Bou

The first coal ship I got was Marco Polo and my second was Azuma. I regretted Azuma less than the Marco Polo. I will always recommend Napoli first and if you just can't wait to get a coal ship, I would recommend Scharnhorst 43 or Blyskawica if you're not a BB player. Moskva and Sherman will probably be my next coal ships.
My top 5 in no special order. Napoli Kearsarge G. Kurfürst Salem Brisbane Honorable mention (wait for it), The Marblehead. You either you have a fantastic game or you go boom. Just fun to play when you're sick of the gring.😊
Napoli was my first coal ship. Never regreted it. Borderline OP. Now I think Im going to get Lujtens with coal I have to train him to level 21 in the Schlieffen... and then Kurfurst... maybe...
actually i play the kearsarge as a CV hybrid, mostly using the planes but using the guns whenever it's worth. i average 140k damage per game, usually 60% - 80% of the damage is from the planes but when i get to use the guns it's very easy to get over 200k damage
When you do... Don't get the reload speed. Get the range mod. 24 km range on a superheavy cruiser, with 30km range with spotter plane, you outrange most batttleships Tier 8 and up. She will set fires every salvo, amazing pen, super damage on AP pens, and 20 km torps to use as area denial, plus fast and very maneuverable. She's easily one of my top 5 ships.
@@DarthVader-lt4zw I'd need to play it first and see how shooting it near max range feels like, many ships suffer horrible shell drag penalties with extended range past the default max range.
hmm, i wonder though, would it change in different servers, like asia is just brutally passive, so passive that sometimes cruisers would have to sit and wait for end game to get damage, so, can the napoli still work in random?
Sherman guns are much much better than marceau's. Flat arcs and high velocity. Jager is hard to play with all the planes, but if you lack a torpedo spammer, you might enjoy that ship. Just dont expect it to always win.
For me is easyer to write with ships I don't have in armory 5 Halford , Tulsa , Carnot , Z-44 & Flint . so my pick in Armory (for new player): - Jäger just must have as first ship , she is ez to play and can earn loot of credits . - german ship set Scharnchorst 43 - Anhalt - Pommren - GK that is set that will earn you loot of coal in brawl fast , and if you are broke player and play without premoium account , going for that set is great way to train quickly commander to 21p and then grinding other lines is ez as you get so much commander xp you can have 10p commander quickly & retrain that commander when you advance in line . (later on go for Immelmann ,U-4501 , Ägir & Z44 = you can train every german commander , we can see on who WG earn most cash...) - Brisbane that is avesome tool , she make most WG mission very ez , and save loot of time ! ... and fun factor ship for me : - Blyskawica - Scharnchorst 43 - Jäger - Yoshino - Salem

The napoli is the most fun i’ve had with a ship in wows. Its costly but well worth it.
Groningen is an absolute beast against planes as well. Definitely recommend using it as it'll eat then easily

I love my Napoli. Great in all game modes. I'm torn between the Moskva, Sherman, and Groningen for my next coal ship.
Moskva is outdated, sherman is more powerful but groningen earns more credits, i have all 3, personally sherman is most fun
