How to repair a Milwaukee M18 PB Planer with a stiff motor.

This milwaukee planer is not running at all now as the motor is to stiff. A bearing has failed jamming the motor. This is a nice robust planer but as most milwaukee tools are made in China, they tend to fit cheaper China bearings.
This failure would have been noticeable when the tool was running, as the speed would dropped and the motor sound would have changed.
luckily it is an easy fix, with no specialist tools required apart from a blowtorch. You could replace all bearings, but seeing as the rest are fine, I am only changing the one here.
