By randomly attacking him with flying kicks and random punches (or so it seemed to Ichigo) he was secretly building his reflexes and defenses, as well as forcing him to develop counters.

He knows a hollow already tried to kill Ichigo when it killed his mother. The local shinigami rep is incompetent. On top of that, one of his closest friends is a Quincy and his son goes to school with Ichigo. All these things make me think Isshin wanted to train Ichigo but wanted to do it naturally and without scaring Ichigo since he was still a kid.
Soul Society Ichigo took out 3 Lieutenants without even using his Zanpakuto. And one of those Lieutenants (Sasakibe) had a Bankai for hundreds of years at that point.

His fight with Kenpachi will forever be my most favorite, such character development from that point on. And Zaraki is such a beast, he was so overpowered as a child.
Right his little chat to Byakuya when he reveals his Bankai with a smile was badass. As well as the power he emits during Bankai release was perfect for the moment.

Aizen explains in episode 308 or 309 that the hogyoku's will can have an affect on those around them. Ichigo wanted to get stronger to protect those around him. The hogyoku sensed that and he was able to get ridiculously strong in a tiny amount of time

Ichigo was attacked by his father constantly, which is something subtle enough to slip people's minds. Isshin did not have his powers at the time, however he still had his hakuda skills, which he used to teach hakuda to Ichigo, with no one being any bit the wiser about it. Have some knowledge.

I personally feel like Ichigo's sensory abilities are a bit like a roller coaster. Sometimes he's amazing at it, like the time he sensed Chad whilst fighting Zaraki, whilst at other times he's not all that great, like the time when he only sensed Arancar Grand Fisher by the time Isshin showed up. Shinji even mentally comments something along the lines of "He's only now just sensing that? Is this guy for real?".
Not really Chad's someone ichigo has for years and would know the feel of were as Fisher only met twice and not someone ichigo would keep a sensor out for as it drags up emotionally turmoil when hes already dealing with white It also shows hes a protector not a warrior as he always senses his allies and only really goes after enemies when they've done something
I think emotional turmoil definitely has a part to play With it. Ichigo's constantly shown he can't use his full power when he's going through something emotionally straining.

Sure when you have achieved Bankai you need to be stronger than you was before but if you already had the multiplier before using bankai then why would you ever use bankai. It'd just be a waste of reiatsu if they didn't gain any additional multipliers
Jeez I remember when I first watched this arc years ago, Bleach was the first anime I ever watched and this moment plus his fight against byakuya really sold me as an anime fan. I'm so happy that Bleach is returning. 😊

I just finished the soul society arc and it is AWESOME, ichigo's Wins were heard by everyone and rightfully so , he took on and defeated some of the most powerful people without Bankai and you have to remember at this point he was still learning about Zangetsu and how to properly use it . When he arrived on the bridge to Save Rukia is such a chilling moment, and I'll never get tired of the leutenants and captains going " What is this guy " every time he got up Coz ermmm that sounds funny coming from them considering their powers 😂😂
My head cannon will always be that Ichigo got nerfed after Soul Society. Mostly, because of the badge and he didn't get as strong as he should be until Vasto Lorde form. 50% of Ichigo's spiritual energy was being restricted by Zangetsu and 80% by the badge. His spiritual energy was still that strong,I'm guessing as powerful as Lieutenant, with only 20% + because White was trying to come out. I believe once he mastered Hollowfication was able to use 30- 45% of his own spiritual energy. Vasto Lorde 70% ( mostly Hollow), and Dangai being 70%(mostly Quincy since it looks like a Volksatndig) as well but Final Getsuga being 100%. I consider Fullbring Shinigami Ichigo as back to his original 50% like Soul Society Arc since his fullbring comes from the badge that was supposed to seal away his power. However, these are percentages which dont give much in quality but how much of his full potential.

He's stronger than the Vasto Lorde Ichigo that made a fool of Ulquiorra. Zangetsu would actually be stronger than that Ichigo, since he was only at half of his powers when he foughy Ulquiorra. Not only that but can also use his sword better than Ichigo himself, as we saw when Ichigo fought him.
Which goes to clydes point, 10+ characters having the POTENTIAL to affect the world on a universal level. Kubo did a mediocre job at setting power levels straight in bleach, which hinders some aspects of world building in the bleach universe.
If this kind of speed can be considered a two-digit multiple of the speed of light, I can't Imagine anyone dodging Mugetsu with it being (according to Aizen) in another dimension.
I always thought Mugetsu was a litteral time drift You can't dodge it because it is instantaneous in that time in that soace the attack exists and therefore its impossible to dodge
That’s why it annoys me that people like to claim it’s easy to dodge. Sure, it’s a thin attack, but Aizen in his full monster form, who transcends all Hollows and Soul Reapers (aside from Ichigo) couldn’t dodge it. Its speed is immense.

Another thing to remember is that he never wanted to kill anyone, he was only there for rukia. So if he wanted to, he could have killed all of those lieutenants, or even kill byakua. *MAYBE* kenpachi because he did injure him a lot in his fight So everyone is lucky that Ichigo didn't go full lethal otherwise he could have given them some bad casualties
The Sokyokou being blocked was pretty hilarious. It gets blocked two more times, like, this thing was supposed to be godly and it just immediately gets repeatedly no selled.
yes his zanpaktous ability is to release and compress burst of energy. Combine that with Quincy blood(natural ability to absorb, sense, and release reiatsu) and Hollow reiatsu makes it entirely OP.
I completely forgot Tousen used Resurreccion. Makes me wonder if that was yet another of the powers Ichigo should have gained. My belief is that the original ending of Bleach was meant to have Ichigo take the place of the Spirit King because he would have all the powers across the board.

I wish we got to see more hand to hand combat from Ichigo. I feel besides the Soul Society arc they only showed him really use it in his regular human form.

@@angelgab-8594 White from the beginning was evil. He even said something like "take care of him cause that body will someday be mine." When he fought Kenpachi. Only interest for White was to not let ichigo die cause he would die too tho. So ichigo had no choice but to work with old man.
The crazy thing is, the more he trains and fights powerful opponents, his power increases so much. But the Quincy inside of him is suppressing that power, he even suppresses the power he gains by training. The Quincy within Ichigo can suppress most of Ichigo's power, but not all. So with all of his training, even his Banki training, Ichigo is actually much much stronger than people think. Just imagine if his power wasnt being suppressed this entire time, imagine if he had his full power to draw from during and after his Banki training. I dont think any of the captains would stand a chance against Ichigo at that time, except for maybe the head captain, and probably Zero Squad.
0:53 one of my fave moments was when the music kicked in and Ichigo swings his sword at Aizen and . but the sword and the music stop dead, it was such a shock as the show had programed us to expect Ichigo to win whenever that music is playing.

Make a video about whether Aizen was preparing Ichigo for Yhwach. Considering Aizen made a powerful race hybrid purposefully at some point knowing that Yhwach is going to come back. And then this hybrid will be trained enough to face him, when Yhwach actually reappears.
Ichigo was constantly nerfed through out the series between the pass, his own powers being imbalance, not even having a Spoiler True Zanpakuto to begin with Ichigo, though in the case of the pass I don’t think he was being nerf THAT much only when he was in his body and Ginjo did say it was only when he had the pass on him is when it be restricted. Still, it took a lot of hoops and hurdles for him to get close to his true potential, and I don’t even think we fully saw that in the manga.
I have a theory to why Ichigo was able to block the strongest weapon in the soul society and why everyone was so surprised when he did so. Nobody had thought to actually try to block the weapon, but all of the captains have the ability to do so but never thought that they would be strong enough to pull it off. After all, I don't that that the Gotei 13 actually expected someone to attempt something so bold. I think they are both surprised at his strength but also the fact that such powerful weapon could be blocked by someone they just met.
I totally forgot that Konpaku essentially all get zenkai boosts after surviving mortal danger. I had recently thought back on bleach and was a bit confused, thinking that it seemed like many of them had progressed quite slowly compared to Ichigo but suddenly started growing faster.
Don't forget that the Head Captain's Lieutenant should be Captain level himself. He had his Bankai and mastered it long before the story started. Although that most likely would have been a retcon.
I think the problem is that Kubo only hints at this, but because of the hollow Ichigo tends to hold back or not fight without limits after the SS arc. It really annoys me that in the final arc we only see a small glimps of how strong he is, his calm, controlled spirit power and certainly fighting abilities.
Like the attention to Hakuda and I feel that both Kido and hand-to-hand combat could use more love in Bleach. I would enjoy seeing characters like Renji who I can absolutely see utilizing his subpar execution of Kido in combination with Hakuda to create some explosive punches and kicks out of it to give him more edge in battle or someone like Toshiro coming up with his own elemental style of hand-to-hand combat. Ikkaku, despite being pretty underperforming, has the most memorable battles in the whole series as he utilizes everything in his arsenal: slashes, kicks, punches, his sheath and so on. Shinigami using every single tool at their disposal would improve battle experience immensely!
I always saw the Sokyoku feat as the first attack powerful enough to be able to only vaporize Rukia's soul, which was blocked by Ichigo. Then we see the Sokyoku coming in for another attack this time being powerful enough to vaporize the thing that stopped it in its tracks It's all just headcanon I know but I really can't see the Sokyoku, something that even the captains were freaked out about being that weak
It's a constant toss-up between Katen Kyoukotsu: Karamatsu Shinju and Senbonzakura Kageyoshi. As for the second question, I want to see how they handle Minazuki's Bankai form.
Yeah stuff like this that really makes me laugh. Death battle is obviously more about entertaining but they really should consult the people who do research like this. The speed calc for ichigo was so bad.
Naruto has more fans than bleach, that’s really all the cared about. They probably knew that ichigos actual calcs were insane so they found a way to lowball him. Personally I don’t care about who wins but at the same time different shows are on different levels. Naruto is stronger than one piece, bleach is stronger than Naruto and dragon ball is practically infinitely stronger than them all. Strength doesn’t define a show but it pisses me off that they bullshit so hard. With later bleach anime characters it’s clear they are at least planetary and yama is legit as hot as the suns core passively with his bankai, while kaguya: the strongest character in narutos kamikaze attack was stated on planet level, and that was by far the strongest attack in the series.

The way pocket dimensions work is that while they have all that space, their true physical existence is limited. With obitos kamui he can take in almost infinite stuff but it would only take enough power to defeat him to destroy the kamui dimension. It’s an insane unpractical feat that kaguya’s pocket dimension is even planetary in actual size. If you wanna bring up that there were stars and such then is ulquiorra universal because he destroyed the pocket dimension grimmjow put him in? Kaguya has the highest amount of chakra in naruto except maybe momoshiki, but she’s planetary. Naruto is my favorite anime and I actually like kaguya’s character even if I don’t like her as a villain, but stop wanking the characters this hard dude. The solar system is billions of times planetary, it’s actually thousands of times greater than star level because of the distance that it embodies.
I know it was said that measurements etc are extremly flawed, but your power comparision with captain or assistant lvls was much better than this speed of light bullshit. Just because a character is portrayed as lighting fast or teleporting instantly just means that he is that fast compared to his opponent as the enemy can't even react.
So I've been thinking about this for a while. How strong would Ichigo be if he truly mastered all of his abilities? Like, we've seen how normal Shinigami's Zanpakutos grow and develop over time(Renji, Rukia, Yamamoto's bankai, Hitsugaya), so would Zangetsu do the same now his power isn't being suppressed? Also, we know his Vasto Lorde form could use Arrancar techniques like Donido and Hierro, so would he eventually be able to learn all the basic hollow abilities and use them at will? Then there's all the Quincy abilities. We know he's physically capable of using Blut Vein, so there's no reason he couldn't use all of the other standard Quincy techniques. Now, say all of that is true, could he mix and match them? Like, use Blut Artery while having a Hierro? I just think his potential to combine all of these abilities is staggering.
Ichigo is what is referred to as a Natural Born Fighter. It basically means that even without training he is deadly. But he learns more from taking part in actual combat then in training, Because while in a fight he learns at a faster rate then someone who trained in the same techniques. There are a bunch of people like that in the real world too. This is what makes him so great. Awesome video.
Great video Clyde. I do have to say that dodging an attack that move as light speed doesn't mean you are moving qt light speed, just that you're perceiving the attack before its fired. You don't have to outrun the bear, just the other guy with you and all that. Love your stuff.
Has Naruto shown any casual multi ftl feats? Cause I've always believed Ichigo stomps Naruto in less than a second and I haven't seen anything that makes Naruto anywhere near his speed. Even the light fang dodge.
Yes he buffed an army that was most made up by thousand of men 3x times kakashis chakra by THOUSANDS of men in kcm alone and kakashi is light speed since he kept up with obito and obito as a child fought with someone who was ftl and that was like baby kcm 2 naruto not even close to his six path powers ehich are arguably 100x multiplier
Clyde some dude say that gin is slower than what he said about the 500x speed of sound but aaroniero dodge light in the early stage of the arc tho and gin is far above him so it makes gin faster than light and make other people in the show faster too so i dont know why people are try to down scale there speed also people who try to down scale people of a show which have feats that show that they have this speed or this power are can no accept it.

Aizen explains in episode 308 or 309 that the hogyoku's will can have an affect on those around them. Ichigo wanted to get stronger to protect those around him. The hogyoku sensed that and he was able to get ridiculously strong in a tiny amount of time

I personally feel like Ichigo's sensory abilities are a bit like a roller coaster. Sometimes he's amazing at it, like the time he sensed Chad whilst fighting Zaraki, whilst at other times he's not all that great, like the time when he only sensed Arancar Grand Fisher by the time Isshin showed up. Shinji even mentally comments something along the lines of "He's only now just sensing that? Is this guy for real?".

Sure when you have achieved Bankai you need to be stronger than you was before but if you already had the multiplier before using bankai then why would you ever use bankai. It'd just be a waste of reiatsu if they didn't gain any additional multipliers

I just finished the soul society arc and it is AWESOME, ichigo's Wins were heard by everyone and rightfully so , he took on and defeated some of the most powerful people without Bankai and you have to remember at this point he was still learning about Zangetsu and how to properly use it . When he arrived on the bridge to Save Rukia is such a chilling moment, and I'll never get tired of the leutenants and captains going " What is this guy " every time he got up Coz ermmm that sounds funny coming from them considering their powers 😂😂

My head cannon will always be that Ichigo got nerfed after Soul Society.
Mostly, because of the badge and he didn't get as strong as he should be until Vasto Lorde form.
50% of Ichigo's spiritual energy was being restricted by Zangetsu and 80% by the badge. His spiritual energy was still that strong,I'm guessing as powerful as Lieutenant, with only 20% + because White was trying to come out. I believe once he mastered Hollowfication was able to use 30- 45% of his own spiritual energy. Vasto Lorde 70% ( mostly Hollow), and Dangai being 70%(mostly Quincy since it looks like a Volksatndig) as well but Final Getsuga being 100%.
I consider Fullbring Shinigami Ichigo as back to his original 50% like Soul Society Arc since his fullbring comes from the badge that was supposed to seal away his power.
However, these are percentages which dont give much in quality but how much of his full potential.
Should do white ichigo, even though he’s apart of ichigo I still think he’s very interesting sum ichigo could’ve bin with the versatility he uses in battle

Ichigo is a prime example of what Aizen told Sui Feng about fights being of reiatsu.

yes his zanpaktous ability is to release and compress burst of energy. Combine that with Quincy blood(natural ability to absorb, sense, and release reiatsu) and Hollow reiatsu makes it entirely OP.

The crazy thing is, the more he trains and fights powerful opponents, his power increases so much. But the Quincy inside of him is suppressing that power, he even suppresses the power he gains by training. The Quincy within Ichigo can suppress most of Ichigo's power, but not all. So with all of his training, even his Banki training, Ichigo is actually much much stronger than people think.
Just imagine if his power wasnt being suppressed this entire time, imagine if he had his full power to draw from during and after his Banki training. I dont think any of the captains would stand a chance against Ichigo at that time, except for maybe the head captain, and probably Zero Squad.
0:53 one of my fave moments was when the music kicked in and Ichigo swings his sword at Aizen and . but the sword and the music stop dead, it was such a shock as the show had programed us to expect Ichigo to win whenever that music is playing.

True Zanpakuto to begin with Ichigo, though in the case of the pass I don’t think he was being nerf THAT much only when he was in his body and Ginjo did say it was only when he had the pass on him is when it be restricted. Still, it took a lot of hoops and hurdles for him to get close to his true potential, and I don’t even think we fully saw that in the manga.
I have a theory to why Ichigo was able to block the strongest weapon in the soul society and why everyone was so surprised when he did so.
Nobody had thought to actually try to block the weapon, but all of the captains have the ability to do so but never thought that they would be strong enough to pull it off. After all, I don't that that the Gotei 13 actually expected someone to attempt something so bold. I think they are both surprised at his strength but also the fact that such powerful weapon could be blocked by someone they just met.
I totally forgot that Konpaku essentially all get zenkai boosts after surviving mortal danger. I had recently thought back on bleach and was a bit confused, thinking that it seemed like many of them had progressed quite slowly compared to Ichigo but suddenly started growing faster.

Don't forget that the Head Captain's Lieutenant should be Captain level himself. He had his Bankai and mastered it long before the story started. Although that most likely would have been a retcon.
I think the problem is that Kubo only hints at this, but because of the hollow Ichigo tends to hold back or not fight without limits after the SS arc. It really annoys me that in the final arc we only see a small glimps of how strong he is, his calm, controlled spirit power and certainly fighting abilities.
Like the attention to Hakuda and I feel that both Kido and hand-to-hand combat could use more love in Bleach. I would enjoy seeing characters like Renji who I can absolutely see utilizing his subpar execution of Kido in combination with Hakuda to create some explosive punches and kicks out of it to give him more edge in battle or someone like Toshiro coming up with his own elemental style of hand-to-hand combat. Ikkaku, despite being pretty underperforming, has the most memorable battles in the whole series as he utilizes everything in his arsenal: slashes, kicks, punches, his sheath and so on. Shinigami using every single tool at their disposal would improve battle experience immensely!

I always saw the Sokyoku feat as the first attack powerful enough to be able to only vaporize Rukia's soul, which was blocked by Ichigo. Then we see the Sokyoku coming in for another attack this time being powerful enough to vaporize the thing that stopped it in its tracks
It's all just headcanon I know but I really can't see the Sokyoku, something that even the captains were freaked out about being that weak

It's a constant toss-up between Katen Kyoukotsu: Karamatsu Shinju and Senbonzakura Kageyoshi. As for the second question, I want to see how they handle Minazuki's Bankai form.

Naruto has more fans than bleach, that’s really all the cared about. They probably knew that ichigos actual calcs were insane so they found a way to lowball him. Personally I don’t care about who wins but at the same time different shows are on different levels. Naruto is stronger than one piece, bleach is stronger than Naruto and dragon ball is practically infinitely stronger than them all. Strength doesn’t define a show but it pisses me off that they bullshit so hard. With later bleach anime characters it’s clear they are at least planetary and yama is legit as hot as the suns core passively with his bankai, while kaguya: the strongest character in narutos kamikaze attack was stated on planet level, and that was by far the strongest attack in the series.

The way pocket dimensions work is that while they have all that space, their true physical existence is limited. With obitos kamui he can take in almost infinite stuff but it would only take enough power to defeat him to destroy the kamui dimension. It’s an insane unpractical feat that kaguya’s pocket dimension is even planetary in actual size. If you wanna bring up that there were stars and such then is ulquiorra universal because he destroyed the pocket dimension grimmjow put him in? Kaguya has the highest amount of chakra in naruto except maybe momoshiki, but she’s planetary. Naruto is my favorite anime and I actually like kaguya’s character even if I don’t like her as a villain, but stop wanking the characters this hard dude. The solar system is billions of times planetary, it’s actually thousands of times greater than star level because of the distance that it embodies.
I know it was said that measurements etc are extremly flawed, but your power comparision with captain or assistant lvls was much better than this speed of light bullshit.
Just because a character is portrayed as lighting fast or teleporting instantly just means that he is that fast compared to his opponent as the enemy can't even react.
Maybe it was meant that that sokyoku has the power of 1mil zanpakutos when at full power rather than being 35x stronger when used

So I've been thinking about this for a while. How strong would Ichigo be if he truly mastered all of his abilities? Like, we've seen how normal Shinigami's Zanpakutos grow and develop over time(Renji, Rukia, Yamamoto's bankai, Hitsugaya), so would Zangetsu do the same now his power isn't being suppressed? Also, we know his Vasto Lorde form could use Arrancar techniques like Donido and Hierro, so would he eventually be able to learn all the basic hollow abilities and use them at will? Then there's all the Quincy abilities. We know he's physically capable of using Blut Vein, so there's no reason he couldn't use all of the other standard Quincy techniques. Now, say all of that is true, could he mix and match them? Like, use Blut Artery while having a Hierro? I just think his potential to combine all of these abilities is staggering.

Ichigo is what is referred to as a Natural Born Fighter. It basically means that even without training he is deadly. But he learns more from taking part in actual combat then in training, Because while in a fight he learns at a faster rate then someone who trained in the same techniques. There are a bunch of people like that in the real world too. This is what makes him so great. Awesome video.

Great video Clyde. I do have to say that dodging an attack that move as light speed doesn't mean you are moving qt light speed, just that you're perceiving the attack before its fired. You don't have to outrun the bear, just the other guy with you and all that. Love your stuff.

Clyde some dude say that gin is slower than what he said about the 500x speed of sound but aaroniero dodge light in the early stage of the arc tho and gin is far above him so it makes gin faster than light and make other people in the show faster too so i dont know why people are try to down scale there speed also people who try to down scale people of a show which have feats that show that they have this speed or this power are can no accept it.
If Ichigo was anywhere near the speed of light then Gin's sword abilities would be a joke to the entire soul society.
