That's a good idea.. I just commented on how I liked how she did her front row. I'm attempting to do mine like this for the first time today.. I need all the tips .. wish me luck lol
I'm 41 and I am so amazed at how far latch hook/crotchet braids has come. When they came out with these though, I said I would never again do individuals again! I've done latch hook on both my daughters hair this year; havanna twists, and jamaican bounce. Done in less than 2 hrs each time. Love it!
you look stunning! you have so many options with your beautiful hair! you can wear wigs and it looks realistic, weaves, crochets, braid it, wear an Afro, straighten it...I am honestly about all the creative options you have with your hair!! I am quite limited with my thin caucasion hair when it comes to Styles. no weaves, no crochets, no today blond tomorrow black ... I am working with it and try to make wigs as realistic looking as possible but I really hope all of you fabulous Ladies embrace your fantastic hair!! have a blessed day!
I just want to compliment you-I don't do box braids but watched this and you are a great presenter! You pause, you repeat and even put text on top-awesome for teaching. A lot of youtubers are not very good at actually TEACHING. Keep it up and I learn a lot.
Sis I thank you so much. I had my stylist look at your video while in the African braid shop. she applied the same technique and when I tell you that 😯 OMG! Beautiful! This crochet style is a staple for me Period. Thanks to your prep braid technique my crochet is undetectable baby. I brought seven packs used 4 . My package had 2 bundles A total of 30 strands. 💕
OMG!!! I love this hair style. I have a bald spot that cannot be covered with regular braids. I've been dying for some box braids and now I have a way to get eh style that I want! Thank you sooooo much, you don't know how helpful this video is.
Girl patience and on point you show everything dimple and really neat easy to follow that doesn't damage the hair and actually makes it grow...Your natural hair doesn't look Damaged and it seems to be healthier and healthier thicker and thicker stronger and stronger....I love it
Hey Hey Now! Another Easy Summer Natural Hair Protective Style that I can hang with & spend less than $40's on!!! YYEESSSSS!!! I JUST completed this exact look TODAY while watching the Superrrrr long BET Awards & was finished (SNAP) Just like THAT!!! THANKS AGAIN to THEE CHICNATURAL for being Brave enough to share you content & creativity with the world! I for one greatly appreciate it sincerely! And I'm sure thousands more agree! I will Continue to support you & future endeavors! ~Aimee
I have been inspired to do a lot of different styles every now and then to get away from popular styles. Yesterday, January 28, 2023 I braided my hair up. I added tracks and crochet some hair all wet and wavy hair to upgrade my skills. It was very fun to use all three hairstyles in one hairstyle. I love how my hair looks. Tiny wet and wavy braids, with wet and wavy tracks, and wet and wavy crochet hair. My head feels light. Keep up the good work 👏🥳🎉👍
Im going to try this. I wish I could figure out something better to do with the back so I can put it in a high bun and not have the hump in the back. Any ideas?
Ive watched several other tutorials... This is THEE BEST ONE!!! trust me, so if ur out here searching like I was, waste no time, you'll find no videos better than this 1.... SHE ACED IT YESSSSSSSSS!
I'm DEFINITELY doing this style!!! It takes me 3 days to do my box braids (with my 5 sons always interrupting me). I don't have to keep screaming, "WATCH MY HAIR!", "DON'T TOUCH MY HAIR!". Love it!!!
What my mom did to my hair was, french braid upward from my edges and in the middle braid it into a circle (worked for me because i have A LOT of hair!!) to trick people to look like they're single braids, but they're not! its a lot easier than un-braiding the braids and braiding.. But everyone has their ways!
Been watching videos all morning and this one by far is my fav.. I love how she did the individuals in the front. U don't even notice the rows behind them
your hair looks really great. But I'm so scared to install crochet braids for a second time after the huge damage I had the first time. The lady did my cornrows so tight but since I didn't had experience with crochet braids I thought it ought to be so, and the result was a deep wound on my hair scalp. so my advice don't let everyone touch your hair try to DIY as much as possible.
Wow thank u am 12 years old and I did my first own bow braids when I was10 but I did it way to thick and lasted for 5 day so when I was 11 did the Havana twist and it did not look well yesterday I stombed on u and found a quick and easy way to do extension so thank u for making your video and helping me save a lot of time
I love Crotchet I bean doing it for a year I have did different styles like the box braids, faux locs , and twist and it's kind of like a protective style because it doesn't pop your edges when if you go to the Africans they will and it's so much cheaper
Thanks for this interesting video. I love being able to do things myself on my natural as I think it's always better than when others handle my hair carelessly most of the time. Thanks for sharing such amazing videos with us. It's by watching such videos that I started leaning how to take care of my hair myself. Be Blessed 😘
Love only 2 1/2 hours she needed! I get my hair braided takes 10 -12 hours single braids and cost me a lot $$$ ! This is a great idea I am blowing away by this ! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for this! I am so busy and was trying to find the time to box braid my own hair. Then I stumbled upon this video and OMG, you are a life saver, I ordered them immediately and am so happy it will only take a fraction of the time!
Right. I attempted this a few yrs ago after seeing another TH-camr post hers and hers looked even more beautiful (She used a diff braid pattern.) After the braiding and install, my arms felt like they were going to fall off and were on fire! I have too much hair to do this on my own.
I'm so happy I saw this video cause I've been wondering what to do with my hair for Summer. And seeing that I have nail extensions on and can't braid with them this is a great alternative, thanks a lot @TheChicNatural
I was considering a box braid wig until I saw this video but you came through just in time chica!! Thanks, you always have great and practical tutorials!!
This looks stunning!💕 I had this for a month and a half but what I recommend is to dip them in boiling hot water because they tend to unravel at times.
Absolutely gorgeous! I'm white and I've had my hair braided twice; the first time was just rows and I DID NOT pull it off! LOL! The 2nd time was a side Mohawk with lots of intricate designs on the top and the left side and then the mohawk came down from this top bun and down the back about 1/4 of the way and then it went down the right-side of head maybe 3 inches behind my ear. Now that I felt really pretty with, I think the way black women braid their hair is PURE ART and is so under appreciated! As a white woman I can definitely say that we assume all black women can braid and I found out that's not true. Those intricate designs, with size, connections, ending, and more is not something everyone can do. It take talent and creativity and personally I ❤ looking at them.
I'm just about ready to take out my current crochet box braids and I'm really considering having more put in. I got so many compliments on them and it's a great style for the summer.
My girl can one really catch up with u, sis u are an inspiration to the crocheters. Thank u for sharing with us all your wonderful inspirations and creations.
Thank you soooo much for the tutorial..I was struggling on how to get it to loop and I watched your video and learned in 10 seconds.. you are AMAZING🥰🥰🥰
I watched a video before yours on how to crotchet it was hard so I clicked right off of it then I found yours I got it on the first try thank youuuuuu so much 😃
I just did it it turned out great. Used 7 packs of hair, only cost me 50 bucks 😁👍🏼
I do the single box braids around the entire perimeter so that it looks super natural
That's a good idea.. I just commented on how I liked how she did her front row. I'm attempting to do mine like this for the first time today.. I need all the tips .. wish me luck lol
Black women are so creative when it comes to hair 😂! I live for it
Super cool
Right like how do u even think of some of these ideas lol

Can anyone say talented? I love the simplicity of this style without the time it truly takes to sit for box braids! Kudos...you did that!!!!
You are right, she is talented at styling hair
Sis I thank you so much. I had my stylist look at your video while in the African braid shop. she applied the same technique and when I tell you that 😯 OMG! You flippin UNRAVELED THE CROCHET BRAID and used that!!!! BRILLIANCE DAGNABBIT!!!! #bravo
OMG!!! I love this hair style. I have a bald spot that cannot be covered with regular braids. I've been dying for some box braids and now I have a way to get eh style that I want! Thank you sooooo much, you don't know how helpful this video is.
Great tutorial! It looks so easy to do and the style is gorgeous.
Wow wow wow unbelievable this looks really good. Thank you so much the best detailed video I have seen so far. I am going to use this tomorrow.
This was literally THEE best hair tutorial video I've seen. I loved how precise and slow motion it was. Great job!
Yeah. Done very well!
Girl patience and on point you show everything dimple and really neat easy to follow that doesn't damage the hair and actually makes it grow...Your natural hair doesn't look Damaged and it seems to be healthier and healthier thicker and thicker stronger and stronger....I love it

Thank you!! Happy to hear it worked out well for ya Aimee!
I usually don't like the crotchet look but you made them look so natural and like some "real" box braids. Great tutorial.

Ive watched several other tutorials... This is THEE BEST ONE!!! trust me, so if ur out here searching like I was, waste no time, you'll find no videos better than this 1....

Yasssss love it.. But then again I live for all the styles you do
Thank you Peggy!!
Me too, absolutely gorgeous no matter what she does
I'm DEFINITELY doing this style!!! It takes me 3 days to do my box braids (with my 5 sons always interrupting me). I don't have to keep screaming, "WATCH MY HAIR!", "DON'T TOUCH MY HAIR!". Love it!!!

I had no idea this is how this was achieved. Educating myself! Love watching and love the braids they look beautiful!
For crocheting yes, but then there's also the method of just regular braids, or braiding natural hair into extensions, which looks about the same.
I never have to wait almost 2 days EVER AGAIN 👏🙌😍
Been watching videos all morning and this one by far is my fav.. I love how she did the individuals in the front. U don't even notice the rows behind them
You’re the reason why I know how to install “braided” crochet hair 🥰 thank you ❣️
This technique is a God send. I been doing my own box braids for 16 years and now this!? Hallelujah, ok.
your hair looks really great. But I'm so scared to install crochet braids for a second time after the huge damage I had the first time. The lady did my cornrows so tight but since I didn't had experience with crochet braids I thought it ought to be so, and the result was a deep wound on my hair scalp. so my advice don't let everyone touch your hair try to DIY as much as possible.
yeah i has a little experience with crochet & the second time it hurt so much
Wow thank u am 12 years old and I did my first own bow braids when I was10 but I did it way to thick and lasted for 5 day so when I was 11 did the Havana twist and it did not look well yesterday I stombed on u and found a quick and easy way to do extension so thank u for making your video and helping me save a lot of time
imma do this I spend like 200.00 at the braid shop for the hair and braids when I can do it myself
I love Crotchet I bean doing it for a year I have did different styles like the box braids, faux locs , and twist and it's kind of like a protective style because it doesn't pop your edges when if you go to the Africans they will and it's so much cheaper
I've never been a fan of box braids but once again, you've executed this style FLAWLESSLY. These look great Kim!
I love this style so much! saves on time and also less pulling on the roots of the hair! I had no idea they made crochet braided hair too love this!
Wow! You are so talented!! Ain't no way I could do this beautiful work to my own head! You did a great job!!! xoxo
Thanks for this interesting video. I love being able to do things myself on my natural as I think it's always better than when others handle my hair carelessly most of the time. Thanks for sharing such amazing videos with us. It's by watching such videos that I started leaning how to take care of my hair myself. Be Blessed 😘
Ummmm Yessssss !! This gives me life that I can have braids again and still have edges ! Them shop will rip your mess out 😂! Thanks so much !!💖
Love only 2 1/2 hours she needed! I get my hair braided takes 10 -12 hours single braids and cost me a lot $$$ ! This is a great idea I am blowing away by this ! Thank you for sharing!
I’m still following this concept ❤️😂 4 years later
Me too! ❤️❤️
I’ve been meaning to do it for 4 years 😂 I’m back watching it again cuz I’m finally gonna try!
Thank you for this! I am so busy and was trying to find the time to box braid my own hair. Then I stumbled upon this video and OMG, you are a life saver, I ordered them immediately and am so happy it will only take a fraction of the time!
These are so cute 😍 but I just don't have the patience
lol it actually is pretty easy to install though tbh. The time frame is wayy less than when you do so individually.
Right. I attempted this a few yrs ago after seeing another TH-camr post hers and hers looked even more beautiful (She used a diff braid pattern.) After the braiding and install, my arms felt like they were going to fall off and were on fire! I have too much hair to do this on my own.
talking about patience .... my favorite protective style is mini twists... i can relate lol
lady I love the way you do your hair. I appreciate that you take the time out to show everyone how you do it. Thank you
Whaaaaat! Girl you are so talented!

I was considering a box braid wig until I saw this video but you came through just in time chica!! Thanks, you always have great and practical tutorials!!
I tried this on my daughter last night. I'm in love! She's in love! We are both in love with the look and how easy this was!! Thank you for sharing!
This looks stunning!💕 I had this for a month and a half but what I recommend is to dip them in boiling hot water because they tend to unravel at times.
You are right when I went to the braid shop my stylist dipped it in hot water as well

OMG..I'm never sittin six n a half, seven hours again..These are jus too cute, love them..Gotta get em ASAP!!
I appreciate the detail about box braiding the front section. Looks great!
Looks nice, I want to try. One question? Are they heavy because I tried the medium sized Havana long twist and they were cute but too heavy in my head
The best tutorial I've ever seen especially for beginners
This is gorgeous! Just stunning!
That is amazing how you unraveled the crochet braid and braided your hair in it smart I tell you and it came out beautifully.
Girl this is fly! How long can you keep a style like this?
up to two months with good maintenance.

When Youu Did The Back , Since It Was So Much Hair . Was It Bunched Up , Or Bulky In The Back ?? I Wanted To Know Before I Tried This Out .
I watched a video before yours on how to crotchet it was hard so I clicked right off of it then I found yours I got it on the first try thank youuuuuu so much 😃
