I noticed that if you take an original screen for it to work, you have to take it with the top flex (the light sensor...), otherwise this method does not work
Did you use the original front sensor? Or from the same device that took the lcd from? I think in IP 13 there’s no need for taking front sensor too. Coz the sensors are not involved in Face ID. But in 12 its necessary. What’s your opinion?. I actually tried it and it was successful
@ i have a 12. I need to make the display as genuine part. If i get OEM screen pulled from another device and front sensor from another device separately, can i make it as genuine part?. I know that pulled OEM screen needs its own front sensor and I don’t the old lcd with me. Are there any way to make it possible? I need your help on this.
@@muktharzayn The screen and the sensor are paired on each phone. If you only have the screen, it will not be recognized as an original part. There may be some possibility to pair the sensor with the screen... to rewrite the codes, but I haven't tried yet. On a 12 pro, I struggled for a week to do this job, until I found out that I needed the flex that came with the screen, I took it from the old phone and it was solved on the first try
i have ip 12 pro max when i tap to finish and repair in diagonistic and repair assistant it says this part is not functioning as expected in display and when i try it to configure it says unable to configured!!!!
I also had this problem and found out the answer. In order for it to work, you must also have the top flex on the screen (from the phone from which the screen was taken). If you put the flex from your screen it doesn't work. If you don't have the flex, you can change the chip, it's quite easy if you've done it before
@ i havenot a phone now from where i have taken a original screen neither its flex or chip what to do now?? well in ios 17.6.1 i dont have a display unknown message or anything message of display ?
@@TickTech03so if I change the ic from the original screen to the replacement screen, will the repair assistant not pick up that the screen has been replaced?
Question for Third repair shop is : Many bought used phones for parts and those parts will be icloud locked , until now it didnt matter but on iOS 18 they will probably get a message to repair and its gonna ask for icloud or not !! Many dont know how screwed they are lol
From what I understand there will be a problem with these parts, they might not be able to be used at all. For now, we are waiting to see how things will evolve with this new update.
It depends on the lock. If is iCloud locked because the person forget the code, there isn’t a problem, but if is iCloud locked because it was reported as lost/robbed it will not work
Hey, i need some advise. I bought used ip12 about 6 months ago with battery health 96%. Today its 86%, it definitely seems like it had a battery replacement or programmed the battery to fake its health. Should i get its battery replaced by buying one from good aftermarket brand such as repart, Ampsentrix
Hello, if the current battery lasts a day with normal use, you should not worry about the health of the battery. If, on the other hand, it discharges quickly and you cannot enjoy the phone, then you can replace it with a good quality aftermarket battery
Did you try using a used display (off another 13)? I heard that you can’t use used parts on the 12-14 series
The screen in the video is used part!
@ ok then I guess it’ll apply to my 12 mini too! Been considering doing a battery swap as I’m at 75% capacity…
I follow all the steps but when I tap on restart & finishing repair it show unable to configure plzz make vedio on it
The screen must have the original top flex from the phone where you got the screen, otherwise it won't work
My iPhone 13 pro max. Changed genuine display parts..i do same all you does. But its not work 😢.
Someone please advice me
