I think if Plasticity ends up with some "Live" and "History" functionality, it'll be a seriously killer app, at that point I'd genuinely use it for quick cad work for cnc.
Agreed. Variable radius fillets for solid modelling, and the overall UX is just also makes it insanely efficient. If Nick keeps continue developing this program the way he did in the last year, listening to requests this will be truly the best choice for CAD modelling for product designers and 3D artists. There are some tools I really wish for, like T-splines in Fusion, and some more in depth hotkey customization (be able to edit tool specific hotkeys as well) and some others, but I feel the overall direction is pretty good, and im already switching many of my hardsurface modelling to this program. (for me the Ngon Obj export was the tipping point, that export is by far the best from any Cad software i met with)
Thank you for the comparison. Nice to see your thoughts on both packages. It would be nice for Plasticity to get some of the Moi 3D tools for surfaces. Fingers crossed.
Thank you for this tut, it was needed. So if you are also using and comparing Moi beta 5, it means that when the final version comes out, it will not have the killer features of plasticity, and we will have to wait years (at the current pace of development).

Do you like dark or light UI? haha. I reckon Plasticity. I know everyone says fillet this fillet that and it does matter a little bit even if we all use pipes and sweeps regardless. I do have a soft spot for for Moi3D and Rhino though. You will see a lot more current content for education if you go with Plasticity than you will see with Moi3D.

Well, you suggested, of course, it's clear that the rhino is better than mine and plastics combined, but have you seen the price tag? The only thing that stops using a rhinoceros is its high price.
@@Kuechmeister even after plasticity v24 , you would still pick Moi3d ? strange enough , can you please give a short answer on why you would go with Moi rather than plasticity ?
Rhinoceros is better because it has 25 years of development. Plasticity in three/five years will be much powerful than Alias+Rhinoceros+Catia excluding the PLM/CAM features which aren't important for 3d designers.

I hope the developer sees this, especially for the symmetry update feature
The developer know this. But in some Geometrie Kernels can do this better and some that.
!! High quality video !!! Complete
You did a great job of research in this video 👌👌

You answered my comment on another of your videos; with a video! Nice work🎉
the hack for complex ngon surfaces in MoI3d at 17:00 seems nightmarish to me. Respect for anybody who chooses to go through this without swearing.
Plasticity + Blender + F360: OnPoint 🔥
Plasticity + Blender + F360+ Moi3d🤘
doing the custom fillets by using pipes in Plasticty also seemed a bit wonky at 23:00 ..sure needs a lot of tweaking the pipe bends to get them right?
eheh ! à n'en pas douter, Plasticity 2.0 écrabouillera la concurrence ! ;) wait & see
nice video
i really hope that this video will WATCH carefully both authors - Plasticity and Moi
and make conclusions🤫

Your voice can't be that bad
Объективное сравнение. Спасибо что провел сравнение и выявил сильные и слабые стороны обоих программ.
Seems to me that Plasticity not having the live update is a major red flag and a hinder on performance.
Do you have any course about moi3d with script because i like your videos I like the scale models and 3d printer resin
Jokes apart though, that's a really cool looking mouse
cool, thank you for the comparison
if I may ask which of the two is better for product modeling for visualization ??
I think meanwhile Plasticity with the new feature xNurbs is better and easier.
Have you tried the blender bridge yet?

Thank you, it's difficult to compare, where one tool gives up the other can continue and vice versa.
Phantastic video. Meanwhile necessary.
which is good for begineer and which one is powerful: Moi 3D or Plasticity ?
Plasticity is better for beginners and easier for hardsurface. For Surface Modeling cases is harder to say, both tools has pros and cons.
Whats version plasticity and moi3d?
@@nonodesignnonodesign7110 Moi3d 4.0 and Plasticity 1.3 or 1.4
Does Plasticity has Sub-D with edges creases?
of course no! Its not a some kind VR scetching funny 3d programm where u can even move those NURBS edges!
@@floodmachine1868 Fusion360, Moi3D, Rhino3D does have Sub-D. Nothing funny.

Nice, whats best for obj fbx Export.
Moi3d
Compare plasticity to shapr3d since both use siemens parasolid kernel
At the rate plasticity is developing I'm not sure how many advantages moi's gonna end up with in years down the line
I think it could be a kernel thing, 2009-2012 Moi3ds developing was very fast too, but since v3 to v4 and now to v5 no big things are happend.
Please also add rhino in comparison
No, Rhino is a 1000 Euro tool.

Plasticity vs rhino ?
Rhino is not a Mini 300 Dollar tool, it's hard enough to compare this class of tools, but Rhino is a pro tool.
