Was obsessed with Donald Fagen after his solo album The Nightfly.... saw this film because he did most of the music...
In the early mid 90's I was a huge fan of New York City and went their four years in a row..Never went there before or after..Just an amazing place..>This is my fave NYC movie..And Donald Fagen from Steely Dan just kills it here..And Michael J Fox back in the 80's with Kiefer Sutherland and Phoebe Cates.>Could not ask for more ! that was me back in 1988, living in nightclubs every weekend, same age as mj fox, and tragically like him lost my dearest mother that year as well so this film has a special place in my heart! im also a big donald fagen/ steely dan fan and love the music in this brilliant movie!
Mmm Moms bread - Every thursday when Mom got paid she get all the ingredients! - And walking home from school - If the was blowing in our favour - We could smell the beautiful aroma of freshly baked bread from right at the end of our lane Even better was when we got was the treat of hot bread from the oven - God I miss Mom we all do ! - There was enough bread baked on that thursday to last all week ! There was a bread strike in the 1970's in England -Thats why Mom started baking her own & It was better than any shop bought bread ! - Back to your video I dont think I've ever seen this movie - Gonna have to search it out - Many many thanks for sharing and bring those childhood memories back !!!

The best part of this late 80's early 90's classic is subsequently the wost part for MJF character. When his girl completely ignores him while he's high on coke chasing her down at the bottom of the runway. Ice cream dreams blasting in the back ground, and she's walking down the runway completely ignoring him. You can't help but feel bad for his character. That was a cold scene.

I have this on a 3inch CD with 2 other songs by D Fagan even have the plastic bit to put the disc into to play it......some thing happened ie it was released before the film and was recalled but i managed to get a copy.....

@@rynkie yes ..really a 3inch 4 song disc which is fitted into a outer plastic ring tomake it the size of a standard CD so it can play , its title is called " Century's End "

My favourite, albeit imagined New York moment... :) Great film, even better soundtrack (if you discount the non-fagen material :p), Donald wrote the incidental music for the film, I'm still trying to separate the audio track containing the score from the recent bluray.
Yeah I got the bluray too and I was disappointed that it didn't have a 5.1 mix
....I actually had a pair of those sunglasses!!! I was working for a video distributor when the videotape of this was released and we received a bunch of promo materiale....and I grabbed the sunglasses....there was also a big poster etc......left the sunglasses at a party in Port Jefferson....damn
