this kind of transparency is rare but much appreciated
That's called the Million dollar tip I was thinking about getting money after getting paid for the first time in my life and I just forgot I still sucks some places in 3D So it will get better if I get back to learning.
You will get peanuts coz peanuts were all you had to offer too.
@@stache_obj What is I offer a photorealistic peanut with perfect topology?
yeah.. i guess then it's fine 😄@@3TQHAJSHNQ

"Finish projects and make sure the next one is slightly better than the previous one."
Couldn't have said it better! 👏
Something like that become my go-to answer for anyone asking for learning advice.
The next project should always be a good mix of known comfortable tasks and new challenges.
That's perfectly put
i just really respect the transparency in this video
I have done art for years now, Only recently 3d sparked my interest. before that was photoshop and making compositions. But the thing is I've never did was sharing any of my artwork even after picking up 3d. I just made them because I enjoyed it so much also i guess I was afraid of judgements. But you are right!. I'm gonna make an account and start sharing my work,. THANKS MAN. you are like a big brother i've never had, always giving me the right advice.
If you are looking for work, you gotta share your work. And I know it's scary to share your work but the blender community is pretty supportive so nothing to worry about at all
As someone who’s been trying over the last few months to make money with blender, this was very helpful (unlike the thousands of others of very UN-GENUINE videos), so thank you! (and it was still very stache :)
Great to hear that
Dude these Thumbnails are getting more and more 🔥 with each video! Great Video by the way!
Glad you like them!
"It is better to wait for that one yes that is ready to pay a fair price... than to work on five under-priced projects just because you're afraid to lose $10 on a project in the short term."
The golden nugget for freelancers. I did this briefly back in the day, and it's absolutely true. As you keep working on projects, you quickly learn what your time and quality of work is worth. Charge it. The good clients will rise up to meet that price.
Great video, thanks for sharing. Subscribed.
Ikr. It took me some time to learn. But once I got it, I never went back. Appreciate the sub!
One major tip, not necessarily Directly related to earnings, but an essential... ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS back up your project files... don't learn the hard way😂😂
Thank you Brother! Very helpful to me. I have shifted to Blender a year back. I was a 3dsMax user for more than 20 years. Really like your work.
Happy to have you here
I'm curious: what made you switch from 3dsMax to Blender?
Why did you switch?
@@M_H_2000 Blender is free and frankly better. It just takes time to get used to. I still use 3dsMax sometimes. But I do not need it for most of my work.
@@M_H_2000 3dsmax is shit and if you don't know autodesk increase there prices year by year like 2500$ to 3000$ but blender, Blender is totally free and you can do same thing with blender 🙂
Very insightful man, love the simplicity of just getting good and watching the rest fall in to place.
Very inspiring! Thank you for your work, stache. That's something really rare and truly valuable
Love the honesty and your direct to the point approach!
He is so honest in his content, I like this quality of his. We really appreciate it man.
I half expected this video to just make us feel good and special and make us think that one day we magically start earning money like all the others when secretly they're farming us for youtube views to get youtube bucks. But your video was actually honest. When you can see from the inside out it's easy to spot the lyers.
Before you can make any money you need to give people a reason for them to give it to you. Which means you need to offer something valuable and that's all it boils down to. Being good at vfx/ blender is valuable because the majority of people give up and the ones who continue learning and improving can show off some really cool stuff from their own imaginations. People love art, they love ideas visualised so it triggers their imagination to think of expanding it or something like it but different so they ask you to do that for them.
Well said my friend. You have just beautifully summarised the video. Appreciate you
i always appreciate the level of transparency you give off in your videos, thanks so much 😄
I appreciate you appreciating me
Amazing words Stache - really loving your content recently 👏 focusing on learning as much blender as possible atm!
Great to hear that my friend
That is exactly what I realised starting to be serious about 3D last year. I did a few projects and started being frustrated why I don´t or barely make any money. Now I am just cruising one project after another and getting better every step. Very inspiring that this is exactly the path that worked for a lot of people. But I think Kaizen as well as Smief got the same points. Love your channel and all the content you do keep it up.
That's wonderful for to hear man. It's a tough change to make in your mindset but once you do, there's no stopping you
@@stache_obj In my opinion we all want to make quickly money. But the reality is you have to put in a lot of work first to get to a level were you could potentially do that. Heard it over and over again from multiple artists I reached out to and every artist should just accept this fact and keep on pushing the boundaries of what you are capable of. If that makes sense 😃
Really glad for you man🧿🧿 Keep up the good work!
This is like the first video I see that actually gives a great advice for making a job out of blender, and I seen a lot of these kind of videos. Thank you
not only are you great with blender and cinematography, you are a great writer as well. Cheers man
Appreciate it a lot man
very solid down to earth video, thank you stache
thank you stache this advice translates to many fields of work. Proud of you
Absolutely love the insight and wisdom!
Agreed 100%, I can completely relate to your perspective.
i like the way that your vision, the way to comunicate and your rendering skills, thanks for sharing!
I appreciate that!
love you man, i was literally in a state of dilemma about myself in every way possible
I needed this ♥
Glad I could be of some help
I might as well be in the exact same situation you were until a while ago. It's tough trying not to put money your top priority when you're already financially struggling; and you are constantly trying to prove yourself that you can become that artist you have long aspired to be. It just puts you in a toxic mentality.
This video was like an invaluable wake-up call for me. Thanks a lot for that.
I know exactly what you mean. Glad this video could help in some way
Thanks bro. This was much help! 👏💯
most honest shit i've seen in long time, thanks man you're really inspiring!
I love this guy. I feel like there's so much personality in each of his videos, it's very enjoyable to watch and learn how I can improve my modeling journey!
Great video. Thank u for the inspiration.!
Thank you for your videos, you are inspirational, you are open and really try to help the people understand what they should do. I dont know what else to say than thank you very much.
Glad to hear that buddy. Always happy to help in whatever way possible
I decided to learn Blender just today, and I'm so glad I stumbled across your channel. Between this and the video about mistakes you made when learning, I feel like I'm starting off on a good step.
It's nice to have someone give advice in a way that feels very transparent and grounded.
That's perfect. I'm glad a newbie finds some value in these videos too. And if I think about it, you're right it's important to start on a good step
Probably the best most insightful video I've seen in a long time.
Thanks a lot for that.
Now, a lot of things makes sense
Always a pleasure to find you in the comments Carlos.
Amazing content as always 🔥
you.. are amazing dude. thank you for giving detailed informations!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for this wonderful lesson❤.
I genuinely love your videos man and the way you talk too
Glad you think so man
Thank you so much for this video... This video was really needed..
Glad it was helpful!
It is a good day when stache uploads! Some good information :) Looking at your short film again really inspired me for a topic of my own short film for college :)
Always happy to have u here @baeac
The most ever honest tip and experience that you have provided us. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
I am also improving my self with complete and finished projects.
"Best of luck for your future projects."
Glad to hear that buddy. Keep on working
Thats called a genuine tip. I have been in that money , get rich quick bullshit, which suffocated my progress. Thanks man. Just realised those provocative make money with blender videos was just beneficial for them , not me. Not more mindless chasing. Getting great at this skill first 🥇
So glad to hear that. More power to you my brother
great advice stache!
I believe that everything has a time of its own, and out of no where I bump into this 3D. Just been a week and your video, harsh reality checks and my time couldn’t have been any perfect than this to start 😊. Thank you for the insight, I have always done things for fun so I’m glad I could relate to you.
Glad I could help my friend
I am in the same shoes as you same background, same feeling, and about to do the same mistake, but this is truly a eye-opener and i finally think i can see a direction, thanks alot from deepest part of my heart!!
Glad to hear that my friend. All the best to you
The getting better every project you make is so relatable, I've personally felt it, sometimes I feel like I should just give up, like I'm not making enough progress, but then you see back and realize how far you've come, it's amazing
Ohh yeah. Very important to look back and see the progress you've made from time to time
Hi stache I hope you remember me, first of all thanks for what you have shared because in the start of the video you have shown your earning source which is very much needed for a beginners like me to understand how the 3d industry works and what potential it has
Thankyou very much not because you have shown your earning but because what you have shared with us ❤❤❤❤❤
May God bless you and you grow yourself 100x in the future😊
I'm a small channel trying to build an audience and it's really giving me the confidence to pursue my passion and do what I love. Cheer man..!
Great video man, everyone has a different path and I think balancing portfolio management and outreach play a large role in success in freelancing, but none of that will matter if you're not good.
Keep going!
Bhai apne motivate kr dia thank you yr
Great Advice👏
recently ive started making money through blender work in esports community and this happened after i got good on blender . Soon i will start youtube too and i hope people like you who helped me grow more
My god Stache, good to see you've come a long WAY!!!! My first video that I watch from your channel was the atmospheric fog thing, practically when i started learning blender and i thought "what in the world is a cube with a damn mustache gon teach me" 😭😭now you're almost at 100K man, you 100% deserve it
Glad you were there for the ride. appreciate the support
@@stache_obj I really appreciate the content Stache! Was a C4D user and confused as heck with blender back then, but your tips and tutorials helps me figure out the missing pieces, keep up the good work and huge thanks for the guide man, definitely helps me out 💪💪
Lets be real and no bullshit here , i know i can be better than 3-5 years experience blender user with only 5 months period if i am freaking consistent and on the right track , thanks for reminding me to be better on every projects
As an average Indian guy I can tell you are doing great...! Good Luck!
I would think so. As long as I can pursue this full time I'm good with any amount really.
You have a great future, Stache!
Thanks alot man
Man I'm not really into the blender path 1 year ago, have always try to learn new topics and skills and can't concentrate in one thing only, your video (Celsius Short Film) open a world of possibilities, I'm from Cinematography industry in Mexico, in my country the actual chances of film something is really reduced, your open other angle to tell stories and I'll focus all my energy to just be great on my porpose, finally finish projects and keep working every day.
Thanks for the quality on your craft.
That is so wonderful to hear man. Keep it up. If you make something don't hesitate to send it to me on Instagram
Thanku for guiding❤
you've made my vision more clearer brother
I'll take
Just started learning 3D for the first time in the last 2 months and it's been a rough journey, the path is tough but I'm sure I'll get there.
Also you're very underrated
You'll get there man. It's definitely tough. But if it was easy, every loser would pursue it.
@@stache_obj absolutely agree with you!
eey am not surprised you are doing well in a short time period, you stuff is amazing, the beauty of being living in a low cost country is that each dollar can do abit more
That's true. I'm not sure if this earning is enough to sustain in a western country
you are the person to inspire me to make a donut on my broken pc. i put off replacing it cause all it can run is blender no more pocrastination
Happy to hear that my friend
This actually is the realest advice
Hey man i just want to tell you , u doing a great work , i recently watched ur "Celsius" video and then i watched how u made that and it was so amazing , that video just tell every beginning 3d artist "you can do better"no matter how slow your system is you can make better things , and bro that vid really inspired me for creating something new , and i hope it inspires everyone to make things they want to make , thanks bro , keep up the good work.
That's awesome. Glad to hear that my brother. Appreciate you
just came across your channel and man, im a fan
Appreciate it brother. Have watched a bunch of your videos too. Happy to hear from you!
Can't unsee the pajama collection anymore.
I like pajamas. What can I say
Thank you very much for the video❤
Solid advice. Much appreciated for your honesty. I think if you are spot on when you talk about getting better at the craft before you go chasing the money. Again thank you for this.
Glad you agree. Thanks for the comment. God give you strength. Coz of your dp
I recently stumbled upon your channel and I appreciate your style you seem like a straight shooter very down to earth and relatable. In your video you said to do projects consecutively with the aim of getting better incrementally. Do you mean following tutorials or just trying to make something without tutorials and only go to tutorials when I get stuck?
Appreciate you watching man. Means the world.
And to your question. It really doesn't matter as long as you are finishing projects. Sure, follow a tutorial step by step sometimes. Come up with your own ideas sometimes. It's all good as long as you are finishing them
Really appreciate this man and the reply.@@stache_obj
Hello Sir! Your video came at the perfect time for me. It's my third week of learning Blender, and after watching your short film, I felt inspired. The 35mm (Celsius Short film )aesthetic resonated with my passion for filmmaking, motivating me to dive into creating something similar. i started by watching your breakdown video of Celsius but I didn't understand a thing at that time, so I decided to start with the basics. I completed the Blender Guru donut tutorial and then took a break from tutorials to experiment and practice on my own.
I only watched tutorials when I encountered errors or faced challenges. After a week of this self-guided learning, I revisited your Celsius breakdown. This time, I understood everything - your workflow, tricks, and the ins and outs of your techniques. I applied my newfound knowledge and skills to create more than four animated renders, incorporating fluid simulations, fake fluids, rigging, lighting, birds, and other elements.Right now, I just completed a render and felt compelled to share my progress here. Your video served as a catalyst for my journey, and I wanted to express my gratitude.sooner ill be making my first short film too obv inspired by you.
That is wonderful for to hear. And inspiring too. Glad I could be a small part of your journey. Thanks for the kind words. Keep making new things. Send them my way on insta if you ever need a set of eyes on them
@@stache_obj
Sure thing, sir! Once I complete this project in every aspect, You'll be the first person I share it with and I look forward to sharing my progress with you. Thanks again for being a source of inspiration in my Blender journey!
Much appreciated dada......Dhanyavaad✨
The shortest and easiest path is often times the longer and harder one. You usually get no where when you're only looking for the easy way.
The simplest advice is the most beneficial. 👍
Thank you! for reinforcing my own belief!
This is most realistic and honest tip (get good!!!) for making money with blender and more importantly mediums of making money.
And here i am starting my own journey
All the best to you
@@stache_obj Thank you so much man.
I accidently did it this way. I did blender projects for 2 years for way to many hours a week while living with my parents and having a 2 day a week job. It was tough but I learned a ton. Now I have my first actual job where I noticed I'm actually kinda okay at Blender. It pays pretty great but I'm kinda missing the projects grind.
By choice or by chance, doesn't matter as long as you get there
i love stache
Thanks a lot❤
Definitely a genuine advice. It sounds simple because it is simple.
Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication
No one does it better than this guy! :)
Cool. Thanks for the info. 6 years ago is different from now. Ai is changing.things up a bit
Great video bhai❤
When you want something really bad and it’s really close to your heart it’s easy to become confused, so it’s good to make a comparison to some other field to avoid that trap.
For example if someone wanted to be paid highly for playing soccer, there is no getting around the fact they need to be excellent at the sport.
I doubt anyone would dispute that, and it’s no different if you wanna get paid for being an artist.
Really inspirational my guy! What's your PC like now? I know you were working on a laptop for the longest time. I'm also very curious about how you're able to do such good realism, Your renders feel so nostalgic!
Still on it but new computer coming soon
@@stache_obj Eyy noice! I'm from Sri Lanka and I was only able to get my first PC a couple of years ago too! Hope you do a PC tour/review thing! Always love to see more of the creative community kick ass around these parts :>
How did i just find thus? So much for hitting the bell lol....
Another great vid, very insightful.... im only in blender for the fun of it, so yeah..

thanks
Very true! Put in the work, be the best you can be. The rest will follow
Absolutely!
Spilling the beans I see 🫡🔥
Stache dropping the fax as per usual amirite 😏
hey stache , i can relate with your advice a lot , ive been working with blender for the last 2 years and I've just been accumulating a lot of personal projects from the last 1.5 years but now I've also started to get a little bit of leads of work for other people , i got internship because of blender and 3D is one of my main skills now , but the problem I've been facing is, like you I'm in india, the job of a 3D artist is not much recognised and hence not much paid , so i would love to get your thoughts on how to get into foreign clients and foreign markets for 3D.... love your channel and keep making videos , you have a motivational channel in my opinion .
Again, i would suggest just making reels and uploading it on Instagram. It's always better that the client reach out to you rather than the other way around. So make good looking reels. Show your skillset. Probably PPL will reach out to you
@@stache_obj thanks a lot for replying with advice brother .
Thankyou
I kind of heavily relate with you, same kind of family as yours, except I am not good at academics, failed in 11th, had to repeat then gave JEE to get into a cheap tier-3 private college. Now pursuing my btech, but with the way the market is right now, idk what will happen in the future but I started blender a year ago and liked it a lot, maybe this will help in my resume.
Rant aside, thanks for sharing your tips and advice. Wish you well my guy 👍
I know how it is man. Glad you found some solace in the blender world. Keep at it. Don't worry about the market. Just keep making renders and learning new things
so glad to see you growing stache. im a 3d artist from india too and youre a very inspiring figure to me. btw wish me luck for my 10th boards that start this month
How the hell are you in 10th?? You have some amazing skills for a 16yr old
All the best man. Get it over with asap. So you can have a few months of chilling
Good luck!
I feel this, while a mix of information, is the best type of advice for... anything with blender.
Being paid for being good at the thing you ARE good at is a better piece of data for people to chew on than... I'm not sure, um, go poke over a 1,000 people if they want to buy your render? I honestly haven't looked at most, if not all, "How to make money" videos because I didn't, and still don't, feel I'm up to the level that I should be paid for my work.
I'm not wrong, or right, as everyone is different.
I clicked and watched yours, because I knew it wouldn't be a click bait thing, (even though the non-clickbait title gave me some flags), because you've yet to really feed me toxic information. It may not all work for me, but it isn't bad to listen to your insights. And, seeing how long you took to get your head around the idea of being good enough to be paid? I feel a touch better wanting to focus on getting better at the craft than trying to get funds from people for a quick buck.
Thank you for reading, if you did, and I hope your path of improvement keeps going in an upward path, even if some hiccups might make you feel like it isn't. ^^
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. Appreciate you
