A lot of help the other heroes were. The Human Torch refused to take on Carnage, despite being made of his greatest weakness, and the Avengers rally to Spidey just to offer moral support.
I am seeing so many comments about not being able to beat this game as a kid… Same fucking here. This game frustrated me so much when I was seven years old. Hard to believe you could beat this game in 20 minutes. One frustrating thing about this game besides the terrible controls, every time you got hit you would hit B accidentally and then you would use your web. Pissed me off to no end!
Just for fun, I started playing the Spider-Man GB trilogy to see how they feel and if they held up. The first game was surprisingly fun, kind of like an arcade game. Then I start playing this game and spent a whole hour walking around the first level with no idea what to do. I'm watching your guide and seeing what needs to be done seems difficult without a guide or at least a lot of time to spare to figure things out on your own. Time I don't really have. Thanks for the guide!
I hate to think how many hours / days I spent working out how to get past the first part. its the second hardest part in the whole game (with the roller-coaster being the hardest). I got the game back and it was one of the few that I had so just kept playing it.
@@GouldFishOnGames Nah the hardest part is making that jump in the sewers into the pipe that sits flat in the middle of a wall LOL. I was like 7 or 8 when I was playing this game, and I remember getting as far as the roller coaster, but honestly the hardest part was just figuring out what the heck to do smh. Good old LJN games. And people rip on developers NOW.

Yeah, no idea what they were thinking with that as it was a fun enough game up to that point. spent so long thinking you had to fight Venon as the theme park seemed almost impossible.
They really didn't make it clear, I think I must have accidentally webbed onto the green goblin in one attempt and then realised it was what you needed to do. but it was such a pain trying to get him that I'm not surprised that most people had no idea.
@@GouldFishOnGames Out of never actually even finding green goblin, i am sure that i never could do the crouch walk, so every time i fell in that hole i just got stuck. I think I was 4 then, I have an older brother, I will ask him how far he has gone.
What, no end credits? even the developers are ashamed to show their names in this shit. Just like many others games by BITS Studios, this it's awful, it it's even worse than the first one made by Rare.
The music might not seem to bad for watching the long play, but after spending years playing the game and trying to complete it. It can grate a little 😉

Yeah the end is a bit sudden, like they had to very quickly get it out and rushed a very very hard level in and then called it a day. Its a shame as it wasn't a bad game up to carnage (it wasn't great either).
remember buying this used at a gamestop when I was seven this game was dog shit, here's to hoping the AVGN does another spiderman vid one day to cover the other shitty spiderman games by LGN
The game had some real promise, the first 3/4 of the game was interesting with the adventure puzzling, but then the fairground sucked all the fun out of the game.

It’s ironic how the cover shows carnage, as if he’s the main villain, but in the game you don’t even get to fight him and Mysterio is the main boss

I've played a few Gameboy classic cames recently, and this one looks one of the most playable and easy to digest.
I wouldn't call this a classic, it had the makings of one but they sorta gave up half way though and added a very quick and dirty ending.
