This was my first game ever, i remember being so frustrated because it was so difficult, Carnage was so scary, man.. what a memories, thank you for upload this
It might not have been my first game..but it was one big ol leap above my older brother's black and white gameboy. My own gameboy color, plus Spider-Man. Still a fun memory.
Anyone else knew Back in the day that the code to fight directly against doc ock was 9999? I found out by Dumb luck because I never found the Lizard. I had no idea Hobgoblin was in the game
+Jakub Gontko I think so, it follows a different plot, with different boss fights and what not, but has extremely similar themes, with Carnage-Ock being the final boss fight and what not.
You can actually get the game to lag if you get a bunch of them on screen by using the ''make all enemies birds'' cheat. The cheat code is: B1RDY (Same here, though it makes the game easier and harder)
@@technnicalvapor007: I'm not sure about that.... I'm sure it was just a stupid cheat code someone thought of to enter on the password screen. There's also a Super Mario reference that would be weird if it wasn't on the Game Boy Color, if you defeat the Lizard in the sewers and go back to the Daily Bugle, at the beginning of the game, all the way to the left of the screen, there is a silver pipe, if you go down it you go into a recreation of 1-1, with rats as Goombas and stacks of tires as pipes if I recall.
@@JayboCorp.2014 SHIT The last level on the game was FRICKING Hard Is a Labyrinth infected with Symbionte Clones and Killer robots. ¿Anyone knows how to find the final boss room?
@@technnicalvapor007: If you think that's hard it gets way worse. I was able to beat the last level and boss multiple times as a kid and a teen it only got slightly easier. Though I vaguely know my way around the level. Basically you start off in the upper left hand corner of the screen you want to keep going and taking the elevators down until you eventually get to the lower right hand corner of the screen once you see a bunch of canistersor or giant tubes you'll know you're getting really close to the final boss area if you just keep going right once you reach there you'll be able to find it. I'd suggest looking up a walkthrough if you really don't know where you're going and playing on an emulator just so that you can save state (if you're having trouble with taking damage) and also watch out for the Symbiotes that always crawl on the ceiling as when you're within range they'll drop down on you and do damage. If you want to fight Symbiotes that don't actively move toward you a lot I suggest staying on the ceiling or wall and just kicking them from a distance just don't go backwards to where you were or the Symbiotes will likely respawn and attack you as soon as they're on screen and see you. If you get to the last boss I recommend using web balls on the second phase (you'll know what the second phase is after you see the mini cutscene) I suggest using web balls and hitting him 3-5 times while he's stunned for a few seconds get some distance use another web ball and repeat. If you don't have all the upgrades you can simply enter 18TR9 on the password screen to have all the upgrades and be at the final boss.
This was a solid version. Liked how it had a new story with some of the same beats as the console version while having exclusive villains in Lizard and Hobgoblin. The 2nd part by developer Torus Games was even better.
I loved this game so much as a kid. It took me forever to finish because it took me awhile to figure out I needed a password to continue where I left off (bare in mind, I was very young at the time.)
the dentist office i would go to when i was little always had gameboys that you could play at the waiting room and i would always pick this game up. havent played it since
The sewers and the lab are both ridiculously huge mazes. With those and the friggin' birds and bats, the journies to the boss fights are time consuming. Definitely worth the cash if you are okay with dying a lot in the game.
***** I guess you're forgetting about all of the great games Activision has made. Spider-Man 2 has been called one of the greatest video game movie adaptions of all time. Also, Activision has been around LONG before LJN, its roots lying with Atari, the father of all video games.

I re,member typing in the code 99999 under passwords for fun and that unlocked the final level of the game, so in short I got to skip the game, but still great soundtrack
The game that started my life long obsession of video games that could very well ruin my life if I don't keep it in check. Good stuff.
If go through a busy day of no video games, I consider that a sin.
Dont feel too bad, Coop from Mefas XLR played video games constabtky groeing up and he turbed out ok
The sounds track is lit af
Hell yeah!

I lost this game so long ago. I'll played it all the time as a kid. good times..

this was literally the first game I owned
Derek Barbosa Same here!
Brooo me toooo. I was so happy. I remember getting my gba and the game. I was eating rice and my uncle came and gave it meeee
It might not have been my first game..but it was one big ol leap above my older brother's black and white gameboy.
My own gameboy color, plus Spider-Man. Still a fun memory.
This game frustrated me so much. I remember that I even cried because it was hard for me to beat.
The replay of the final boss music at the end is very appropriate
My mom bought me a Gameboy color when I was 10 on Christmas and this was the 1st game I had. 21 yrs later i want to play it again
Anyone else knew Back in the day that the code to fight directly against doc ock was 9999? I found out by Dumb luck because I never found the Lizard. I had no idea Hobgoblin was in the game
there is even password to credits which I discovered... sadly I forgot everything.
My first video game, the musics were so catchy
i want this plot to be a movie so badddddd! or hell, even a trilogy...oh to dream of a perfect world.
is this the handheld adaptation of the game that was on PSX?
+Jakub Gontko I think so, it follows a different plot, with different boss fights and what not, but has extremely similar themes, with Carnage-Ock being the final boss fight and what not.
+Jaron Talotta I see :) thank you
I’m here from the future and we have a big screen Spider-Man movie with 5 villains, 3 Spider-Men, and a venom cameo
so this is basically a handheld version of the Dreamcast PS1 and N64 game
You could say that
Now we wish we had a handheld version of Spider-Man... 😎
I remember cheesing Carnage as a kid just like you did here lol.
Dang. And here I was thinking all licensed Game Boy Color games were crap! This one looks like they put a lot of work into it!
The annoying birds on every stage was what got me the most.

omg I'm crying I played this when i was a kid all the time
they need to remake this game for the newer systems, i think it would do great.
they may not like sharing air-space.
yeah, but doesn't everyone and everything hate Spidey? If you think of it like that, then anything attacking him works.
well I never found them hard to beat, but I still would change it if I could.
yeah
This is actually a better story than the PS1 version.... wierd

I didn’t even make it to the lizard boss... I had no idea where to go after the venom fight.
I love this game. Sure, it may be a simple plat former, but it sure is fun.
Помню как случайно угадал в детстве пароль к последнему уровню, просто наугад сидел набирал
Wonder how hard monster Ock would of been fighting him on the PS1?
Not you you just run from him since he's invincible in that version.
Had this game. Lend it to a friend, never saw it again 😪
Nice
The music in this game used to scare me as a kid
Memories... what a game
It so goooooood
Gotta love the laugh. 10:44 & 10:49

the game is too short but I understand why it's short because it's a gameboy and gameboy don't use a lot of storage space for games like these

Only Carnage, i think.
He captured them and experimented on them, eventually Venom escaped and the story of the game started.
