I am a sonographer with 30+ years of experience in the USA, and I have attended formal schooling and training in the best hospitals in the country. A couple of years ago I discussed with a Southeast Asian sonologist (3 months of ultrasound schooling) the importance of an abnormal size of the IVC related to the heart. She was adamant that there was no connection. I left her office and thought how in the heck did she pass her licensed test. From then on I never approach a Southeast Asian sonologist.

What does Dilated inferior vena cava without inspiratory collapse, suggesting elevated right atrial pressure of 15 mmHg mean?

That's suggests that the pressures from the right atrium are higher than normal and need to be investigated why...
