  • Streets of Fury EX is one of those games that doesn't take it too seriously, and yet gives you a lot to play around with. One of the funnest beat em ups I've played so far. But one that also has it's share of frustrations at times. Has a lot of characters, the combat is a mix of fighting games and beat em ups mashed together. Has a good soundtrack, a variety of difficulty settings and even a versus mode that I didn't mention or show if you wanted to do multiplayer.
    Criminally underrated game.
There was the original version on the 360 released in 2009. But this is the definitive version of the game to get because of all the added features.
    Other Games Shown:
    Street Fighter 3rd Strike
    King of Fighters 13
    Streets of Rage Remake
    Streets of Rage 4
    Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection

The silliness is exactly why I want to play that game. It'd be awesome if more devs went for that style.

Didn't expect to see this game here! Really good review! To give context for the playable characters, there is a lot of cameos from well known french people like Benzaie and Bob Lennon which are both youtuber / streamer, and a few of them like Kayane and Mr. Quaraté comes from the french fighting game community.

Ah I see. That makes sense given the setting of the game.

So this is the game where "The nostalgia critic is bullshit blazing" came from.

this is how they used to make the mortal kombat games originally. They just took pictures of an actor in a costume for each different animation frame and then added CGI on to that.

Like I said. The game doesn't really take itself too seriously. The "fighters" are a reflection of that.

This is “3DO real life video” terrible.
Road Rash and various other Sega CD and Jaguar CD games come to mind.
