I honestly think this one is my favorite. I love how you go from this hopeful wedding with full-cringe speeches into slow creeping WTF dread into full-on body horror. I think the slow burn of Bella basically getting sucked dry from the inside is some crazy fun nonsense. I don't even mind the imprinting stupidity, because I subscribe to the newsletter where robo-CGI-doll babies don't have rights.

The sequence where the venom is spreading and there are flash of Bella screaming is to illustrate the pain.
If I remember properly in the books - it's been a while since I read them - Carlisle gave her tons of morphin to try to ease the pain of the transformation (because it had been established that turning into a vampire is horribly painful), but all the morphin ends up doing is 'paralyzing' her, meaning she's still in excruciating pain but she can't react or say anything.
I also think (again if my memory is reliable), that she hides this fact from Edward afterwards to make him think she didn't suffer, but she does tell Carlisle so that he doesn't try and use morphin again the "next" time (or smthg likr that).
lol think you missed the Alpha thing among the wolves. Jacob wasn’t an alpha so it was “painful” to resist but he decided to become an Alpha and leave the pack.

So imprinting isn't explained as well in the movies, but basically, there are instances where it isn't romantic at all, but there's an argument that since the wolves don't age and the person they imprint on does that eventually, it would become romantic. Jacob tells Bella in Eclipse that if the girl didn't want that then the wolf in question would just be whatever she needed but that a lot of times it ends up that way because it's hard to resist that type of devotion. I get why it was necessary plotline-wise for him to imprint on the baby (to get the pack off their backs and to explain Bella and his weird connection without him having imprinted on Bella herself), but I sort of hate it because it feels a bit like Jacob is going to end up with the Renesme and that's just simply grooming (and disgusting).

Haha yes this movie is alot. But I feel like they did a kinda good job with it. I love that scene with the wolves because they used real wolf body language, when they are rivaling in ranking and the way they explain them being in eachothers minds as wolves is perfectly done. Also why Edward is biting through in the birth scene is because the baby is surrounded by a "material" like vampire skin that cant be cut with other things than vamp teeth. Also, Bellas screaming as shes turning is because it feels like youre on fire as the venom hits her heart / travel through her blood streams but all the drugs Edward gave her is keeping her paralysed so its to show how she feels inside vs. how it looks on the outside :)
Inprinting isn’t just romantically. You can choose to be a like guardian (father, bestfriend, brother, protector) or you can choose to fall in love with them

The book is really long but it does help a lot with all the confusion regarding this film :D
i know it's not your kind of thing here but would be cool if you'd consider doing a book reaction or read-along or an audiobook review for the last one after we're done with the movies 😁 at least the first half of the book, it gives a LLOT more detail on everything, before the wedding and after and it explains the pregnancy part really well too. Bella's experience on childbirth and then dying / going through the transformation is epic in the book 😄😄 i fly through those pages every time

I hadn't seen the first 3 movies or read the books before I saw this one in theaters, I cannot explain how weird it was to watch the birth scene and then the imprinting on the big screen. Especially since I went into the movie completely blind. One of the most bizarre films that I have ever seen.
I love it, especially since I know the books so well. When anyone is being turned they are writhing in pain it’s so unimaginable. Edward couldn’t read her thoughts so he didn’t know what she was doing. She was holding on to the fire and pain inside her. She could not move, even a fingernail or she would loose her control. That makes her extra special because no one else has been able to that. Ever. Jacob imprinted on Rennesme because she is a part of Bella and he has no control over it. Jacob will become whatever Rennesme wants him to be. It could be a lover, a brother, a protecter, whatever she wants and he will do it.
The CGI work on the baby sucked but the CGI work on Bella, especially her back and shoulders that you see when she is going to take a bath was great!

I don’t know if y’all have it but November is “No-Shave November” to bring attention to cancer in males (prostate, testicular etc.) Finding a cure seems to take a back seat to breast, ovarian cancers.

The honey moon house is in an island in a town called Paraty in the state of Rio de Janeiro (Basil). I've been there and it's really beautiful :) Also, the water is delightul to swim in, even at night.

I can understand the idea of imprinting being hard to describe both in book and movie. Traditionally imprinting is when a newborn makes contact with its mother or its caregiver and firms a special bond for life. In the twilight sense, it’s when the wolves find their soulmate. As soon as they imprint, they become what their soulmate needs them to be at the time until it is appropriate for them to be romantically involved. So in this case Jacob imprinted on Renesme, but she is still a newborn. So for the time being he’ll probably more like a brother/uncle figure to her until she comes of age and they can pursue something romantically. It won’t be unnatural to a human’s point of view. Given the fact that she has what is called a dhampir, half human half vampire, her genetics will work differently. It’s also been stated that once you are changed into a vampire all of your internals becomes frozen. This would likely mean that not only will you physically look the age when you were changed but the mentality will still be the same. For example if a 13-year-old was changed into a vampire she was still look 13 year old and mentally be 13 year old even though she would live longer than a human would. However given the fact that Bella was a human when her daughter was conceived, the rules may not apply to Edward’s anatomy. 🧛🏻👰🏽♀️💋🤰🏽👶🏽🩸👁❤️🔥
