Like when dylan (dylan is in trouble) paused the twilight new moon movie at the window shot where the months passed by just to show appreciation to how they showed it in the books

tbh as a guy that was forced to watch this movie, I found the first twilight movie to be the only tolerable one. The director actually created good tone and atmosphere from what I remember.They should have kept the director for the rest of the movies.

The last movie was my favourite, (despite the bullshit anti-climatic ending) There was actual personality and fun and I actually started to like Bella. I get it though, its the whole, "she had to die before she could truly live." I get that, kinda poetic, it's cool. But like, there must have been a better way because I feel like it's a shit move to wait until the last book/movie to finally give your main character a personality.

How am I just seeing this now?! I have to say, though, that the most heartbreaking scene in the movie is when she is an asshole to her dad even though it is for a good reason and we know it isn't truly goodbye. Great acting on both their parts in that scene. You can really see the pain behind Charlie's eyes.
Unironically, the first Twilight isn't that bad. It's corny as hell as a concept, but it's got a few good scenes.

This movie really IS utterly iconic for all the wrong reasons. Like... No one... NO ONE from our generation will ever forget the explosion of popularity that surrounded Twilight. That shit was massive. I also live less than 2 hours from Forks, WA so I'd bet it was even bigger here than I realized.
I lived in Redmond, WA for 4 years. I never got to go to Forks, but I did see Port Angeles. It's way less interesting than the book made it seem.

I love, and am incredibly impressed by the fact that you guys didn't tear the movie apart, you didn't call it lame garbage (even though, let's be honest, it kind of is) and make fun of it the whole time. You, TWO MEN, watched Twilight together just to have fun. You were actually interested in it and actually seemed to enjoy the film, and even really like certain parts. I really like how you guys acknowledged the good parts of these movies, as well as being able to make fun of them. I know they’re not the best movies ever made, but they’re my “guilty pleasure” (not that guilty about it tho lol), so it’s nice to see people noticing the good parts of the series :).

Lol no. Just no. They were literally so overrated back in the day. I loved the books when I was in high school as well as every other girl under the age of twenty, someone wrote a fan fiction about the books that became its own movie, the movie was the seventh highest grossing film in 2008. They were just dumb and were intended to dampen the panties of teenagers.

Not to say it was all bad though, there were some good parts. But for the most part it was fucking stupid lol.
The books are probably the worst books I have ever read. There is an idea or two that is intriguing (like the baseball), but they're not particularly clever ideas in the first place, they're not executed well, and everything else is terrible. The movies are slightly better by virtue that they're corporate products with sufficient oversight and talent involved to wring some merit out of the gross fantasies of the author.
@@seigeengine Sadly, that got thrown aside for the final movies, as Meyer got pissed at the actual improvements made, and got primary creative control over the last book's adaptation.
I thought you guys were gonna just shit on the series the whole time, but this was so much more enjoyable!!

The twilight book series was the book series that made me realize I could enjoy the process of reading. I always hated reading. I loved listening to books via audio book or having someone read to me, but the process of reading for me was difficult and felt like a chore. This was the book series that truly changed that for me.
