Great video Murray, this was my back yard as my father was gamekeeper on Dalhousie estates and also Invermark, I used to camp at the small Carlochy and cook my brown trout for dinner, for sure your video brought back memories of 40 years past...... thanks
I used to wander these hills as a boy when in the Scouts - we had a hut lower down Glen Esk - and my fieldwork for my undergraduate thesis was done on these hills around Glen Lee and neighbouring Glen Mark. Last time I was up there was probably the best part of 20 years ago and in winter when Loch Lee was frozen and the climb up the Shank of Inchgrundle required crampons!
Great hike and the waterfalls were so beautiful!! Must feel absolutely wonderful to be able to get out and go on a hike again, especially on such a gorgeous day!
I'm always pleasantly surprised by how good the photography and camera work is on these Scotland's Mountains videos, makes it a must-watch for me, makes such a difference when it's done by someone who appreciates the hills and the beauty of these landscapes.
Nice panoramic views and waterfalls! I'd love to get out there once Covid is gone. I've been getting out into the mountains on Vancouver Island Canada a lot since the outbreak. Stay safe!
Great to see you back Murray. Good ‘easy’ walk to get acclimatised. You mentioned about a new toy/kit during lockdown. Folks were thinking camper van. I’m guessing that it was the camera on a stick? Stay safe 🤘🏻
Good to see a new one, and you getting out again, can't wait to go to Glencoe for 10, days in August, all being well, and see the buachaille, the finest mountain in the world
Twas grand to get back outside in the hills , they have been missed :) hope for more adventures in coming weekends but they won’t be viewed for a few weeks (break coming after next weeks video :) Take care and stay safe and thanks for watching m ATB M
Great to see you back in the hills again! You must be well happy! I see you've been busy during lockdown with some new graphics....nice work. And thanks for the link at the end to On My Watch List. Cheers.
It felt great packing my rucksack again , my first biggish hill since lockdown was today , Broad Law from Talla Reservoir , only 3 hours out but felt awesome !
Hi Murray, great to see you back in the mountains again. I have been out with my son to Ullapool and did 11 Munros and it was even in fog and heavy rain. Fantastic! It just feels great being out again. ATB, Det
Thanks Douglas - it’s nice to get back out :) one final video next week before a wee break (I’ll be back though !) Take care and stay safe and thanks for watching ATB Murray
The boys are back in town 😎👍. Great to see you guys back out together again, Murray. The quality of your images is stunning. Have you got some more new equipment? ATB - Dave
Thanks Dave - yeah - got a new 360 camera for a project next year but trying to get to grips with it presently (must admit it’s a bit of a pain in terms of editing and having issues with one part of it not saving !! Lol - sure I’ll figure it out eventually !!) Take care and stay safe and thanks for watching ATB Murray
It's good to see you out on the hills Murray. We've managed a few hikes on the weekends over here in New Hampshire! Those waterfall photos are "absolutely stunning" ... I might have to pay royalties to Thomas Heaton for that quote! :^) And your 360 footage is fun too!
Stuck in foreign parts(North Yorkshire 😋) Murray. Can't wait for all this carry-on to be over so I can visit my folks again. Great to see you out on the hills again and thanks for all your hard work making these videos. 👍
That first mountain walk post lockdown is a great one. The peace and isolation but in a good way. Mind and body revitalised. Thanks for taking us with you on your first outing. 🙂
Absolutely correct - so nice to be back in the hills :) starting to feel revitalised (slowly !!) Take care and stay safe and thanks for watching ATB. Murray
Good to see you dusting off the walking gear and back out in the mountains Murray, even if 119 days made you forget your sandwiches 😂. It’s just a fantastic feeling to be out again. I’m currently on holiday in Cornwall doing a spit of coastal footpath walking and really enjoying blowing the lockdown cobwebs away, as I’m sure you are. Thanks for sharing and as always stay safe
Hi Murray, I could not believe where you were for your first venture back into the hills. That's a walk I've done many times and the view down loch Lee is in my opinion one of the best in Scotland. My first taste of freedom was this Saturday up Mt Keen and it was like Disneyland but still great to be out again. Great to see you out again and looking forward to many more ATB Brian.
Great to see you back pal, looks like you have some new camera gear,I bought a pair of Rab Torque Pants not yellow like yours but beluga they are so comfy, great video as always, cheers murray.
It was like Christmas morning for you! By the way , you have a very organized cupboard...couldn’t help noticing. Such beautiful scenery , love the shot with the purple flowers in the foreground and the waterfalls and creek are stunning..take care ❤️ 🇨🇦
Thanks Sue - it was great being back after lockdown eased - certainly felt like a kid in a sweet shop :) Take care and stay safe and thanks for watching ATB Murray
Good to see you back Murray. Missed your (live) vlogs. I had planned meeting up with Ray for a camp just before lockdown but circumstances conspired against us. I've done Chrulaiste and Ben A'an (where else - 121st time) after lockdown. If you ever fancy meet up, up top, give me a shout. Regards - John
121 ! Wow - I’ve been back to Glen Coe looking over to Chrulaiste - was great being back but not going to edit vlog until my batteries are re charged :) must try and get out 👍 Take care and thanks for watching ATB M
So happy to see this Murray. Must admit though, not a huge fan of super wide angle video. It’s ok in small doses. As you know from my previous comments our trip from Germany to Scotland was cancelled this year. I need to replan for next year. That said, I’m flying to Edinburgh today as a family member has suddenly been taken ill. Not a trip I’m looking forward to but may escape to the Campsies for some me time and reflection. Thanks for your time and commitment 🏴🥃
Thanks Jeg - just playing around with the 360 camera - really bought for helmet use but having a wee play with my new toy :) Don’t think it will be used too much for pieces to camera but good for some b roll - will try and keep it non nausea inducing 😂😂 ( apart from one video - keep an eye out for a video on the Buachaille ina few months #spoileralert 😂
I was going to do that very walk on Monday past but the other way around. However I hurt my foot so didn't want to risk a longer walk. So I went to Queens Well then looked on my OS Map an saw some waterfalls further along the valley and couldn't resist, so my foot is still in recovery from that uneven ground and longer walk
Great to see you back Murray for sure but always take care of no.1 first........ enjoy your break away from this stuff and see where and what you want to go when you are ready. The mountains will always be there even if they are being gobbled up as I type this, by some at an astounding rate! Check this link out: live.opentracking.co.uk/donniemunro20/# - for sheer what the heck?!?!? I sat agog as this guy went from Slioch to An Coileachan (East end of Fannichs) just yesterday in one biff........ via the Fisherfield Five - oh, and An Teallach....... He will probably finish a compleat Munro round, self-propelled, in some THIRTY-THREE? days........ Beyond awesome! TC............ aka The Kinlochewe Kid
Absolutely perfect walk, Murray! So many waterfalls! Just gorgeous. Thanks for sharing this with us!
Great video Murray, this was my back yard as my father was gamekeeper on Dalhousie estates and also Invermark, I used to camp at the small Carlochy and cook my brown trout for dinner, for sure your video brought back memories of 40 years past...... thanks

Glen Esk and Loch Lee. Falls of Unich and Damff. Very nice.
That looks like a great hill! I thought it was Ben Alder at first. Some of the non-list hills are the best.
Great hike and the waterfalls were so beautiful!! Must feel absolutely wonderful to be able to get out and go on a hike again, especially on such a gorgeous day!
Amazing camera work and editing! Bring on more.
Thanks and thanks for watching

Great to see you guys back on the mountains, but that new 360 camera is giving me nausea. Less is more with that one I think.

Good to see you back out in the hills , hope the legs weren’t to shocked the next day . Atb Dave
You are a lucky man to have such an unspoilt location to enjoy. Down in Somerset such isolation is all but impossible to find.
Very nice!
